I am so sad to write this, and I literally never write reviews. I used to love Two Dots. I was a faithful user and had so much fun in the original platform. It was simple and calm and relaxing. I spent $ on the game every now and then to support. I’ve re downloaded it 3 times now with the hopes of getting back to that sweet fun little game and it is now SO STRESSFUL. There are 7 welcome screens to get through with a trophy challenge, a postcard challenge, a beat these random people on the boat of victory challenge, the once a day scratch off lottery….im making up the names but you get the picture. It’s like an ADHD firestorm with no clear goals or direction and you get asked to pay money 17x before you can get to the next level.

They’ve pretty much made it so that you either have to wait weeks to gather enough items to be able to beat board or you outright have to pay to have enough items to beat it.

I am not complaining about ads. The issue is the other games that have been stacked into the app that are not the actual game. I don’t want to push though 7+ pop-ups for scavenger hunts, lottery games, card collecting, and more. Every single time I have opened the app as of late there is a 5 minute bombardment and the frustration has led me to deleting the app. I genuinely love the actual game. When I first got it the mechanisms were all good and balanced. I would get stuck on levels but never super hard leveled after one another. There is good variety of challenges from special elements. When at long last the stupid app lets me actually play the stinking game I find it engaging and fun, but half of my time is spent clicking away other games. The final straw with the app was a change in mechanism, causing the dots to produce a starburst when a square is competed. This is overpowered and eliminates the special benefit of an encircled dot having a starburst reaction.

I love your game but for the past two-weeks the ads are not working or the ads freeze and you have to leave the game.

Used to love this game, just tried to play for the first time in a while and I ended up just exiting out of the game after 8 back to back popups, there were more coming up. You can’t even play the game until you get through them all. This has always been the case but the last time I played it was maybe 2 or 3 popups and now there seem to be 10-15… it’s almost comical how obnoxious it is. Bummer!

The levels have gotten near impossible in the 8000s. Unless you want to use every single one of your prizes. May stop playing.

Used to be fun. Now it lags, doesn't allow you to watch videos to get bonus boxes, and needs to be restarted all the time. It's gotten worse since I updated

Ever since this game was sold, it’s been nothing but a cash grab. Now they’ve gone and changed the graphics. It’s bombastic nonsense now, no better than Candy Crush. So sad.

I used to love Two Dots. It was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable puzzle games out there. Unfortunately, the game has become overwhelmed by intrusive advertising and unnecessary features that have taken away what made it fun in the first place.
The biggest problem is the ads. They are absurdly long and often feel intentionally designed to keep you trapped. You don’t just watch an ad and close it. Instead, you watch the ad, click the X, get sent to another screen, wait again, click another X, get sent to yet another screen, and sometimes it even opens your browser or app store before you can finally get back to the game. Then you have to return to the game and click out of more screens. It feels endless.
What’s even worse is that there are many times when the X button simply doesn’t work. You tap it repeatedly and nothing happens. You’re forced to wait longer than the timer indicated, making the ad experience feel deceptive and manipulative. Every ad becomes a frustrating obstacle course of multiple screens and fake exits rather than a simple 15- or 30-second advertisement.
The other major disappointment is how much unnecessary clutter has been added to the game. Features like collecting cards, gems, special currencies, and countless side events constantly interrupt gameplay. They pop up between levels, demand attention, and add nothing of value. Instead of enhancing the experience, they distract from the core puzzle game that people originally downloaded and enjoyed.
To make matters worse, some of the genuinely fun features, like the rewind games, have been removed while all this extra clutter has been added. The result is a game that feels less focused, less relaxing, and far less enjoyable than it used to be.

Easy levels now require you to spend money for extra lives and boosters if you even want a chance at beating them. I’ve been playing this game for 7+ years. Game has gone WAY down hill. Constant pop ups when you first login to play, dumb paying cards that really do nothing, and now all EARNED ability rewards are time based instead of being able to use them when you want. Time to move on to a new game.

Greedy app just wants your money, they have removed all FREE CONTENT and now just keep upping prices so you can’t play. They keep Removing all side games and fun content so you’re left with ONE boring game that’s impossible to complete unless you pay to play it. It’s stupid. This app has zero regard for user experience and is worthless at player engagement. Lazy developers
Deleting after 9 years of play
Latest updates are horrible!! I’m almost to level 7,000 and they’ve made almost every level unbeatable, they’ve also stopped the force-quit, where you can swipe out and restart hours later to preserve your level. Hate that!!! Everything about the game is worse they’ve changed the power ups and rig it now so you can’t even beat a level because the items you need to get aren’t even on the game board and you are out moves. That’s another thing the regular game levels have very low moves given. Unless you pay money for coins to get more moves to win the level. But that’s not a guarantee either! It’s just annoying now. I wish this wasn’t the case I really loved the levels the challenges and the scavenger hunts. Oh well Two Dots this is goodbye. Another one bites the dust. ✌🏼

Ads Have Ruined Gameplay
I love the scavenger hunts and mainly play those, but lately the amount of ad interruptions have made me stop using the app. I cant even get through one set of objects before another long, annoying advertisement. The ads are also so hard to navigate and close out. Please remedy this!
Bizarre ad by from a company that says your phone may be hacked
Two Dots seems have allowed an ad buy from a company that interrupts your game (it pops up in the middle of game play) and says your phone may be hacked. Not cool, at all.

How the Mighty Have Fallen
I’ve been playing since late 2014. This was the game I played before school in fifth grade- I’m about to start my PhD. I’ve had to restart several times, and the game never lost its spark. I played the spin-off/sequel. The ads make it unplayable. You have to click out of an incessant number of pop-up screens. The icons for all seven million events and limited edition deals cover up all of the beautiful art I used to look at in awe while scrolling through levels as a pre-teen. I still play (now defunct) Dots and Dots & Co. They’re a constant reminder of how steep the decline has been. Such a disgusting and blatant display of corporate greed.

I’ve played this before and it’s fine, but now they’ve got creepy AI ads popping up. Don’t support creepy AI ads.

Scavenger hunt
Look, I know I’m not reviewing the main game, but I love the scavenger hunt. I haven’t been able to find an app like it. I find myself looking for more hunts and the main game as it’s more of a challenge to me. I wish there were more maps available at all times, or the fact you could even redo them in the meantime. Update! I have taken stars off solely because of the amount of time I’ve taken to exit out of all the pop ups for the game. Every time I exit the app, then come back later, I have to exit out every single notification that pops up. I wish there was a way to stop them from appearing. I’ve now removed the game due to it just being too much annoyance.
