So many pop-ups
Just deleted this off my phone. I had to click through twelve pop-ups to get to play one level and it happened again right after I won the level. Way too annoying.
Cash Grab
Game was great for years. Now, the higher levels are impossible in the number of moves, to make you use gold coins you can buy, and their algorithm ensures you don’t get what you need to win. i.e. if you have 5 moves and need to get rid of one anchor to win, it’ll take 4 moves before they even drop it for you.

Issues with No Help
I have been playing 2 Dots for years but am not happy with it now. It has seemed glitchy lately. Also, I had over 100 coins in my account that just magically disappeared. When I reported that, it took multiple contacts and days to get a response only to have someone tell me how people use coins (yes, I think people figure that out on day 1). Then finally they asked me for a screen shot including the coins while they were there (who has that?) and now. I’ve spent more time on this than it’s worth when clearly they have no plan on helping.
Terrible User Experience
Used to be enjoyable. Terrible user experience now, you have to click out of what feels like a 100 pop ups before you can actually play the game. Sometimes you can’t even leave the ads they force you to watch without having to completely reboot the game.
What a shame
Gone is the old favorite Dots game, replaced by an over complicated dots/candy crush hybrid designed to reap micro-transactions.
You’ll not get a penny from me…unless you want to sell me access to the original Dots game which has been my main time-killer for over a decade. Please give me back my Dots!

BEWARE OVERCHARGES
I really like this game but several times I have been charged for items I did not purchase. Most recently I was charged for FIVE $2.99 bundles when I only purchased one, and received only one. This has happened several times, and some of the times including this last one refunds have been denied. I think I may have to delete this game.
Keeps going downhill
Been playing for 11 years. This game was gorgeous and relaxing. In recent years (but particularly the last few months) they have bloated it with dozens of annoying features. Now they’ve changed the aesthetic, and it’s just harder to look at. Less zen and more candy crush carnival vibes. It’s sad.
NEW UPDATE IS TERRIBLE
Everyone hates what you have done with the new update. Just look at the subreddit. It is ugly and unplayable now. PLEASE PLEASE just return it to how it was before. This was literally the only phone game I would play and now you’ve turned into terrible slop like all the other phone games. Heartbreaking.
Played for a decade and then uninstalled after they ruined gameplay
I used to play this game every day and it was so much fun and then one day the game mechanic all changed and became utterly impossible as if they were being made by AI or something that I would never allow you to solve the games without forcing you to buy thing. I was so sad to uninstall the game but it was unplayable. Shame on the new owners that bought it and ran it into the ground. There are entire Facebook groups about how badly this game has been ruined.
Grinds to a halt
This used to be one of my favorite games. But the ads on the page ruin it. It grinds to a halt. And constantly skips. It’s been doing this for years and I think I have reached a point where I can’t take it anymore. These games are supposed to be relaxing and it just leaves me so frustrated. Also, when an ad plays it often crashes or the screen freezes and I lose my progress. I don’t know if this is all to get me to pay for it. But if that’s the case, why would I pay for a game that has so many glitches?
Money grab
I’ve been playing for way too long. Like many others have said, easy levels are hard to beat unless you buy. The pop up ads in the middle of playing is very annoying and also messes up the game you are playing. The attempt at forcing one to buy things has totally ruined the game which it why i deleted it. Don’t waste your time with it.
Frustrated
Won’t let me buy coins!! Doesn’t even take me to the payment pop up, just says something went wrong try again after selecting the coin pack I want. Never had this issue before. Now I can’t do the scavenger hunts I’ve been completing for months

I have been playing this game for years. I’ve noticed that they will not let you win certain levels without making a purchase. As soon as you make a purchase, then I am miraculously able to win a level I’ve been trying to beat for days/weeks. Sometimes if you play long enough, they will let you win, but as of recent, I have noticed that thisis happening less unless you make a purchase.. they are about to lose a customer over this.

Win a level? Get an ad! …No game should punish a player for beating a level. I get that games need to be monetized to to be profitable on a free platform but the level this game has taken its monetization is crazy. It’s unplayable. This once good game may never be playable again. Thanks greedy execs.

Got too hard
Early on this game was fantastic. In the upper levels they have made it so hard it can take days to pass one level. Challenge is one thing; complete frustration and progress at a snail’s pace is something altogether different.
Bad update
I’ve played this game since it’s inception and this last update was really a bummer. What was once a relaxing game is now filled with unnecessary graphics and ad pop ups. I wish we had an option to play the game before the last update :(
deleted after 7+ years
all these new updates keep getting worse and worse. i have loved playing this game for years and now it's so unplayable because of all of the ads, pop ups asking you to pay/do a minigame, even the appearance i feel is not as good. i was very sad to delete it but it was taking up space for something i dont even play because of how bad it had downgraded. :( very unfortunate
Game constantly crashing… what happened?
Been playing this game for a very long time, almost 10 years, and suddenly after the game switched to another host or something I have to delete and reinstall the game every time I want to play and get constant loading errors otherwise. It’s been like this for the last month. I used to play on my commutes but now it’s too much trouble. Please fix it :(
Update is awful
I have played this game for YEARS and the new update is absolutely terrible. I can’t even focus on the game because it’s so busy and bright now. It looks like they jumped on the candy crush bandwagon. It was a good run, but I can’t play the game if it looks like this.
New Design is the Worst
I have loved and played this game for over a decade. One of the real OG’s. The new visual update makes me not want to play at all. All the graphics make me feel infantalized. A great example is: previously, when a level was loading, a helpful tip would be offered. Now, with larger text and louder graphics, it just yells “make squares!" I feel like a kindergartener. What’s more, the game's minimalist aesthetic used to be beautiful and relaxing. They’ve added a background layer that actually makes the game stressful to play, not to mention more visually confusing, especially with the blank spaces on the grid which now show part of the background image. Revert it back. Truly.

I played this game for years bc it was a nice challenge with a relaxing and thoughtful design. This new design is way too overwhelming and confusing. It’s not a beautiful game anymore :(
Glitchy and bad design
The new update looks so cheap, ruins the experience. The board is physically hard to see with the new background. Game will glitch, for example if there are no moves the game will not reshuffle and if you need one anchor to drop and use 10+ moves left, the game will not even spawn one anchor dot in that time. That’s just bad faith game design. Do better. This game used to be awesome, and now it’s a real bummer

they updated a bunch of graphics recently and the game looks so much worse now, i play the game because it is aesthetically pleasing and now i might delete it because this and the predatory game play incentivizing in game purchases wouldn’t recommend
Where is dark mode?
Latest Easter update goes further down a UI spiral and completely eliminates dark maps. There is no option to switch the new bright mode off, and all the maps that were previously visually tolerable have been replaced with incredibly bright white or yellow backgrounds. This is horrible on the eyes and impossible to play after sunset.
Used to be the best game on my phone
For at least 5 years. Then the greedy corporation bought it and it’s one of the most annoying, predatory, infuriating games that exist.
Such a shame. Played this more than all other mobile games combined and finally had to bail. I had at least spent $300 or so over the years but that wasn’t enough. They hammer you so relentlessly and take so many things away that you’re better of not ever even starting because the corporate mongrels don’t care about you having fun. They only want what’s in your wallet.

Updated the app, I’ve encountered a lot more add ons to the game and is very glitchy and laggy please fix

But today, I deleted the app. First, when you open the game, I wish I was exaggerating, but it’s about 15 popups right in a row. Every time you close one, another one pops up. It’s beyond frustrating and I’ve closed the app before playing more times than I can count because of it. It’s the most extreme example that I’ve ever seen in an app. Now, they’ve updated their privacy policy to say that you can’t opt out of having your info shared with third party advertisers. So it was an easy choice to delete the app - the user experience is nothing but frustrating now and they just want me for my data. No thanks. I’ll keep my money, personal info, and my sanity.

I’ve played this game forever and the pop ups every time you open the app have gotten insane. It takes way too much time to get to the actual games. We don’t need all these extras, gem quests marlene’s lair, cave thing, these and the ANNOYING cards all happening at the same time omg!!

I used to love this game and played it non-stop. I didn’t even mind the ads…that’s how you make money, but now, it’s has glitches, the new rewards are worthless and it seems greed is getting the best of the designers because we have to watch ads and buy rewards that are worth anything. I don’t usually review apps but I’m reviewing this one because I’m about to delete it and that’s so disappointing.
Ads in the scavenger hunts
Please! Way too many ads in the scavenger hunts! I understand the need for ads, but it’s extreme. You don’t interrupt the other games to show ads, you show them in between levels. How about that same consideration on the scavenger hunts?

Only more irksome than the level "bugs" is the unhelpfulness of support. Bottom line: the idea is that you pay your way through all the buggy stuff.

Rife with Ads and Buggy
So slow and buggy. Constantly reloads. You have to X out of about 12+ ads to be able to play the game. Once you play it’s kind of addicting though. So you keep suffering for 10 minutes to be able to get in the game again. New banner ads cover some of the Xs so now a new pain. The editors choice review is insane. Nothing minimalist about it. The UI is a chaotic assault to the senses.

I loved this game for years. Played it everyday. Until it became so overloaded with popups, adds, extra side quests to pay for. I tried redownloading it to try again after a year break. It was so much worse I only opened the app 3 times before I deleted it again.

Naturally, the game provides bonus turns and powerups that you can either buy via actual cash or through watching repetitive, poorly produced ads for dubious products.
As a result, the game has devolved into one in which you are tested not on how well you solve puzzles but how well you watch terrible ads about questionable beauty supplements and fitness apps, or how willing you are to spend actual money to win. But, of course, winning a game by effectively throwing money at it is an ultimately hollow experience.

Why all the pop up and cards ??
It’s too many pop ups when you load into the game and why do you guys have cards now? There’s no need for every game to have them. It makes the game un-enjoyable
