Does not respect In-App ratings and reviews setting
App is great except it ignores the iOS setting that is supposed to block apps from begging for reviews and will throw up a dialog asking you if you like the app and if you want to review it. Instant 1 star for not adhering to this.

This used to be a great app to check current wind and general conditions, even at the free tier. They cut the free tier back to a few hours at some point, which was still fine for occasional/casual use.
Now the free tier doesn’t let you do anything but preview conditions for some other place/area. It’s completely useless without a subscription now. This seems like a pretty short sighted move by the dev. Probably smarter to have ad driven revenue for the free tier than to drive users to uninstall.
Oh well, fun while it lasted. Several competing apps are still free and functional.

Well this is my third email to you regarding the same issue. Apparently your organization does not believe in customer service in the least. I am a professional drone pilot with numerous contacts in the industry, be advised that I am advising all of my contacts to avoid using this app as the company in not reliable, a waste of time and money.
Also I am demanding a refund as you are not providing the services that I have paid for. I don’t expect a refund due to the fact that no one in your company conducts any type of follow up

Expensive subscription
It used to be free but now you have to pay to view forecasts.
Free version provided enough functionality, but not worth the cost of the paid version

It’s a paid app now, completely worthless without paying. You used to be able to at least look about 24hrs ahead and now I can’t even see what the weather is like right now. So yeah, gonna delete this app.

Was fantastic, 2025 went subscription
This app was a great way of checking conditions before you fly. The user interface is wonderful, giving you simple green or red data for multiple categories like wind, rain, magnetic storms, etc that are a clear GO /NO GO decision for flying. However today, the app wouldn’t work without an update, and when I updated, all this flight info is now paywalled
And it’s now not just a paid app, but a subscription app! Deleting now. What a horrible move.
Trying Dronecast as a replacement. Doesn’t have the easy to read RED/GREEN summary of 12 different weather conditions that this app had, but seems to give similar data.

No longer ANY free tier!
This use to be our go-to app for work but now they don’t even offer the current conditions without a subscription. I’ll be going to something else now. This is a good way to lose your user base.

I understand the want to make money, most apps will give ads. Not this one! Now you HAVE TO pay to get even the 24hr forecast, this used to be free. Oh well time to find a new app.
Another app ruined by greed
Me and other people at my company used this app primarily for all of our survey flights and would be happy to support them but having to pay eight dollars just to see cloud coverage is insane but again another app is ruined by greed and terrible subscription pricing. Hope it was worth it
misleading
i was used to have basic functionality free, but now they give worse than nothing for free, it appears to be giving you information but that information is 100% fake with a TINY notification saying it is a preview. ABSOLUTELY AWFUL.
Why?
I’ve used this app for years since I got my first drone. It’s been a while since I used it. Now it’s a paid app? It was a very useful app. Unfortunately I will miss using this app. Not going to pay for it. Make it free again. Put in ads or something. Make people watch a 30 second ad before app loads. But dont get greedy and charge ridiculous prices for something that was free for many years.

I understand that an app in some capacity needs to make money. Having the conditions tab show accurate information for a different location is comical. You can call off to apis to get that data for free but not my current location? What does this app offer that the built in weather app doesn't? I'd happily pay $5 one time for this app, does everything needs to be a subscription?

Now You Want To Charge Us?
For you to suddenly charge for something that has been offered for free is very unfair. And not giving notice to those who have been using this app for years is absolutely ridiculous. I’m sure I’m not the only one removing this app from my phone.
Suddenly a useless app
It works fine one day, then the next it’s suddenly a “preview” demo of a paid app. Bait and switch. Avoid.
Just Delete It
I used this when it was free to get idea of Wind/Gust. Not sure how accurate they were but I guess it’s just a placebo effect. How would you really know right. Luckily drones themselves tells you and warns you about High Winds right then and there. Free weather apps are sufficient too. Time to delete this all forever.

Used to be good! I wouldn’t even mind paying but it will only give you a forecast for ONE! place. So if I drive to my friend’s place in a different area/city I won’t get a forecast for that area unless I pay a lot more!

Not Good Anymore.
This App use to be useful, but just checked today and they severely downgraded the free use from 24hr forecast to 3hrs! Other parts are also down graded! Everything you got before for free is now their entry level subscription, but if you want a useful subscription, that costs you even more. A 3hr forecast is almost useless, especially if you are planning to fly your drone an hour or more drive away. I hope this company changes it back, otherwise if they don’t then I hope all the current users give it a low 1-star review along with their negative comments!!!
Update: received an unsatisfactory response from developers that just show how greedy they are by limiting wind forecast to just a few hours. Anyone thinking about downloading this scam, please look at other-better apps that are still free and give you longer forecasts that actually help you, unlike this one!

While I understand the cost of making an app may increase. I’ll wait until my earning increases to then consider. Since everyone is raising their cost but yet earning has not change.

This used to be a great app until they introduced a paywall. I only noticed the weather data was inaccurate while tracking a passing storm, which led me to discover the paywall. I’ve since deleted the app. Thank you for the years of free service-it was amazing while it lasted!
From a 5 to a 1 Star.
This was my go to drone weather app. Now it has no value to me. I understanding the need to have some revenue coming in even at the basic level. How about instead of having a subscription level of a dollar per month go to a one time fee of $4.99 to get the basic services? I would support you at that level. Hoping you make some adjustments.
Give half a star if I could
Was a perfect app that was free but here we are a paid subscription. Every time you leave a review the developer keeps saying the same thing ‘here’s a 7 day trial to access the features.’ The features that were free. 🤷♂️
Thought this was going to be free...
Was recommended to me by a friend using it on Android saying only the advance features required a subscription. I downloaded this app thinking I could get the basics for free, only to realize after opening the app that everything was behind a subscription. Like others have said, a little more up-front transparency before downloading would have been nice. If you're looking for a free weather source, there are better options.
First time user
Do not download this app and expect an accurate idea of when to fly a drone without paying. It might say free but this app will not work without a paid subscription. They say the “map” feature is free to use but you can find that information anywhere. You download an app like this wanting to know is it’s ok to fly and they won’t even tell you without paying. Hilarious.

Now, it shows fake weather info where it used to show legit info. It’s literally showing weather info for a random location. Not useful at all.

A true rug-pull. We will never support an app or developer who does this. The devs of this app should be ashamed of themselves. If you’re that low on cash, make a paid feature that’s worth it. Not take away features for the free users. Rookie mistake but now that this app is failing the dev will likely learn his lesson. Might revisit in a year or two and see if he fixes it back to how it was. But for now, to the trash can. 🚮

I’ve been using this for months and now it’s a paid app for free data. Uninstalling.

The app was useful to see if the current conditions makes drone flight suitable. Now it got turned to a subscription where you have to pay before you can get the actual details from your location. Another app affected by a subscription model. Most of the data can be obtained by other sources which you can get for free.

I used to like the app when it was free. Simple, minimal info but perfect to determine if it was a good day to fly. They tried to make it fancy, and now charge a subscription. No. DELETE APP. BYE!

I wouldn’t mind paying a one time fee for an app but a subscription for an app like this is absurd. I fly my drone everyday for my business and i rarely use an app like this just once in a while. Why in the world would anyone pay for a subscription for this when they have a free weather app on their phone.

This app is useless after the developer restricted it to forecasts of a single location (not yours) unless you pay for a subscription. It used to at least give you some utility as a free app, but now, there’s no reason to keep it unless you plan to pay for it. The little “X” in the corner of the “sorry the app is useless now” message does nothing but prompt for payment. Uninstalled.
