Poor Service
This service is always a pain. It allowed a delivery guy on a bike be my delivery guy when he was miles away from the restaurant which is miles away from my house. He was stationary for over 10 minutes while my delivery time kept slipping later and later, well past the original latest delivery time. I asked Uber about it and it assured me they pair delivery drivers appropriately. I messaged the delivery guy to ask for an update and he cancelled the pick up. Then for the next while Uber searched for another driver with no time updates. This service is just completely unreliable.

Don’t trust them
We ordered for the first time. The restaurant had high stars (about 4.8) but when the meal came, it was mediocre. We even had 30% off from Uber Eats but it was still incredibly overpriced. We were missing part of our order so we immediately called the restaurant (the one who made the mistake). They told us they were going to have a manager call me back later (not that night) and took my information. We never heard back and called two days later. They told me to call Uber Eats. I immediately did and Uber Eats said too much time passed and they couldn’t do anything. They never made it right. Doesn’t make sense to go through a 3rd party like this that doesn’t take responsibility. We will not be ordering through them again.

Bad experience on $140 order
I was extremely disappointed with my recent Uber Eats experience. My delivery driver was rude and unprofessional. I asked several times if she needed help, but she looked directly at me and completely ignored me. I was standing right in front of her trying to provide the required app PIN, and she still refused to acknowledge me. It was frustrating, disrespectful, and left me feeling completely ignored.
To make matters worse, my order was incorrect. I received the wrong item, and the replacement item I was charged for was almost $10 more than the item I had originally ordered. I did not receive what I paid for.
When I contacted customer support, I explained the situation and asked if there was any type of discount or compensation for the poor experience. I was simply told that my order was “not eligible” for any discount, with no real explanation or effort to make things right. That response was just as disappointing as the delivery itself.
Had I known I was going to be treated this way, I would not have tipped the driver. I understand that mistakes can happen, but there is no excuse for being ignored when I was trying to help complete the delivery, receiving the wrong item, and then being told there was nothing Uber Eats could do. I have always expected better customer service from Uber Eats, and I hope the company improves both driver accountability and how it handles customer concerns.

Scammy app
After using this app for a few years and spending thousands of dollars ordering food I can tell you they have gone down now to scamming people. They will list their buy one get one free and before you’d click on those and automatically add 2 of the item to the cart, today I did the same thing I always do but it instead only added one, I only found out when my order was delivered that I only received one. When I contacted support to get a partial refund they said it “there’s nothing they can do I should’ve checked my order”. Well needless to say I explained that that’s not normal and the app is messing up because in the hundreds of times I have done that it was never like this. Well so long Uber Eats. Time to DoorDash.

HORRIBLE New AI Chat Bot
New customer service AI chat bot makes it impossible to receive a refund on items your missing or if your food shows up ice cold. Tell me, how do you take a picture as proof of items that are missing?
I’ve had UberOne for years, it ended last week and I will not be renewing. I don’t like paying for items that I don’t receive or for cold food.
Customer service is non existent now, Uber does not care about the customer, only profit.

Promo Code Bait and Switch
They entice you back to the app with a promo code but it’s not easy to see where you’re o enter it when you check out. Just made an order and it didn’t apply. So bait and switch. Texted customer service two seconds after checking out, and they said better luck next time. With all that is invested in UI design you know that’s intentional.

Massive waste of time and money. Useless customer service
A promo discount failed to apply, and I spent a full hour dealing with a useless chat trying to fix it. To make things worse, a key item in my grocery order was completely incorrect. A partial refund doesn't fix a ruined meal when I now have to place an entirely new order and pay double the delivery fees, service fees, and tips just to get what I actually ordered. Uber Eats refused to compensate for this mess. We didn't even break even for $40 difference.

Add a hour to what ever the estimated delivery is.
Also if you order pick up at the restaurant it’s $5 cheaper per item. So you pay a premium per item, delivery fee, service fee(whatever that is)), and tax. It’s a bad financial decision to use this app.

I’m Canceling
A driver canceled my order. I wasn’t given a reason why. When I called to find out why they told me to just re-order it and it shouldn’t be any issues. I re-ordered the alcohol. The driver came. I showed my ID and all was good. Next day I got an email from Uber telling me that my alcohol privileges were suspended it was not advised as to why. I’ve been ordering alcohol for over a year not with Uber Eats always showed ID. Now that a delivery driver that never even showed up and canceled my order. I have to go through the whole process again. I drive with Uber eats and have a membership but now I’m gonna cancel everything.

Tipping should come after order delivered
Too often, my order has been delivered to the wrong address. The only recourse on the app is to call the driver. Driver never picks up at that point. I really want to reduce or completely remove my tip because why do they deserve if they deliver to the wrong address two they don’t pick up their phone?

Convenient but costly
Not only are food prices jacked up from what you would pay by just going to the restaurant, the company that makes how many millions of dollars a year nickle and dimes you every chance they get. If you get a refund, make sure they give you the full amount back. I shouldn’t have to talk to a person in India to get my full refund when an item is missing from my order. There is no way to reduce your tip if the driver makes several stops on the way to you and the ~30 minute eta turns into over an hour of waiting for food that’s 10 minutes away. The benefit of joining Uber One is small.

All These Fees for What??
My order is super late outside of many extended estimated time windows. It's unfair that all of these service and other fees are put into place when this happens. I use UberEats from time to time and it's not okay that some type of reimbursement isn't put into place when the delivery was delayed. A measly little "sorry" doesn't help the the food is going to arrive cold and soggy. This is not okay.
