i do not use uber often but they don’t even share the date of incident so that i can recall and explain my side of story. Always generic answer and they don’t even give a call.

Uber Eats charged me for someone else's refund
Uber Eats committed fraud by trying to charge me a refund adjustment for another user's refund on a group order and then falsely claimed that my payment credentials are linked to the other user's account. His refund was processed directly to his credit card so any adjustments should have been made to his card, but instead they charged mine. On top of that, the amount the other user was refunded and the amount I was charged doesn't match, and Uber Eats never provided an explanation for that.

Refuse to give refund
I ordered food for pickup to store that showed open on the app but when I got to the store the store was closed so I canceled. But not that I didn’t even got a refund I also got charged for cancellation fee for a store that is already closed. So I reached to customer service and and the they said the best solution they have is that they can’t help me (can’t refund me). So I was basically robbed.

“Other Fees”
Delivery fees and optional priority fees is totally understandable and acceptable for the service. It comes with the nature of having your food brought straight to you. HOWEVER, tacking on ambiguous “other fees” that offer intentionally vague explanations is ridiculous and comes across as incredibly shady. No explanation of what “additional delivery costs” is provided, no information on who the extra money is going to is provided, and it appears like it’s purposefully tucked in between the regular charges that you’re expecting so as to not seem very clear or noticeable. I will likely opt to use a different delivery service in the future to avoid this all together.

Billion dollar company no support

Miserable customer service
They don’t care if you don’t get Tammy they don’t care if you only get half your mouth they don’t care if your meal is all mixed up and screwed up together got something it doesn’t matter and the driver doesn’t check there’s no quality control whatsoever so if you want a refund because you didn’t get anything or you got something completely different forget about it I would never order from Uber again and I was a longtime customer but I just had a series of failed messed up orders melted drinks and I mean if I can take my wheelchair to the local restaurant and get a slash and get back to my house before it melts it’s pretty sad when you’re an Uber driver cannot. Then when your bank just manages to dispute the charge for you will hold you hostage and will not let you use their services until you pay them that is not fair business practices.

Expected Time
15 minutes down the road will always be an hour and a half. After the expected time and ‘promised’ time are missed, they give a $4 make-right. Drivers have to take 2-3 orders bc only the customer pays wages, restaurant fees, app, etc. so idk how UE is pinching pennies.

Never use it again
I have never been more disappointed with a food delivery service.
This has happened to me multiple times with Uber Eats. The app advertises discounts and promotions, and even at checkout it shows the discounted prices. Everything looks correct before you place the order, so you naturally assume that’s what you’ll be charged.
Then the next day, a completely different receipt arrives with the discounts removed and the total is often nearly double what you agreed to pay.
This isn’t the first time it has happened. I’ve had the exact same issue with Buy One, Get One Free promotions as well. The app clearly showed the BOGO offer, I placed the order based on that price, and the next day I received a receipt charging me for both items at full price.
For example, last night I ordered from Domino’s because the app showed a pizza on sale for about $4. Since the app said I needed at least $10 for free delivery, I added a $9 sandwich that I didn’t even really want. My checkout total was around $15. The next day I received a receipt for almost $28 because the promotion had disappeared.
If the app had shown the real price from the beginning, I would have ordered only the pizza. It would have already cost more than $10 at full price, so I would have qualified for free delivery anyway. Instead, the misleading pricing encouraged me to buy extra food I never intended to order.
This isn’t about losing $10 or $20. It’s about trust. Showing customers one price, encouraging them to place larger orders, and then charging a much higher amount afterward is completely unacceptable.
I contacted customer support, provided screenshots showing exactly what the app displayed before I placed the order, and explained everything. They completely ignored the evidence and simply told me to look at the final receipt instead of addressing why the prices changed.
After experiencing this multiple times, I’ve completely lost trust in Uber Eats. This was my last order. I’m deleting both the app and my account and will never use Uber Eats again.

Extra charges
This app will charge a delivery fee even if the restaurant you pick says it won’t. The tip calculator is based on a much higher number than your actual bill. It’s much more expensive than you think.

Seen better days.
Despite being a user of UberEats and Uber for nearly a decade now, starting off when I was in college, they have now made it so where their customer service is a joke and a waste of time designed specifically to be that way and to cheat you out of your money. They are refusing to refund me for items not received, for example drinks from orders that are clearly and evidently not what I originally ordered, and no matter how I take the time to contact them and continually tell them they’re lying to my face when they can see in the photo right there that it’s the wrong drink, nothing ever budges. They are doing this on purpose hoping you get sick of it so they can steal your money. It’s insanity and DoorDash is no better now from what I’ve heard. Death to these apps.

Should do better
Uber Eats and DoorDash have doubled the price of food delivery. They started off cheap and convenient. They strong armed places joining them. Once they no longer had delivery on staff they introduced fees and raised prices and they are the only options.

Scam
I was missing an item from my order, and multiple other items were made incorrectly. I tried to get a refund, said it isn’t eligible. So I contacted support because I at least want money back for the item that was missing entirely. They replied a whole day later asking for a picture of the paper receipt, and all I had was the one from the bag (thankfully I hadn’t taken my trash down yet) and they said “the delivery matched the receipt” and so I couldn’t get a refund. How is that fair? Of course the receipt is going to have all the items on it, if they miss an item accidentally they don’t cross it off the receipt? Can you get some English-speaking people for customer service? Like this person clearly didn’t even understand the issue, and I would like at least the money back for the item I paid for and didn’t get. I don’t even care about the items that were made wrong

If you have issues with your order you will spend hours fighting with customer service. My order was delivered to the wrong house. Customer service kept telling me the status was delivered so they couldn’t refund me. I finally was able to get the refund but they withheld the tip amount from my refund. I ordered from Benchitos in Utah, a carne asada fries burrito and an horchata at 10:00 pm on Sunday June 28th, 2026. The order arrived 1 hour later. I tried to contact support and the driver because driver was not getting any closer, and all support said is there’s nothing they can do about it. Fast forward my food arrived precisely at 11:20 pm. It was of course cold. The drink was watery. Once again I reached out to support and they said that it wasn’t eligible for credit or refund because it was within the deliver time policy. Pathetic
Quite literally more bad experiences than good. Delivery drivers who drop off at incorrect locations or are too lazy to come up to the door. Promos will be taken away if they feel like it
I downloaded the app and received emails saying I would get 60% off $15 or more. I claimed the offer in the app days before the expiration date, added items to my cart, got to checkout and the promo denied. Support said Uber reserves the right to pull any promo at any time.
