What happened to Udemy?
Their website is always having issues - today nothing loads and it says no healthy upstream. You can’t add courses to your cart via the app just buy it now at whatever price. You want people to spend money but you can’t even keep the site up and offer a consistent user experience across the site/app for when the site is not up.
Broken courses and Ads
The iPhone app is totally unusable, I’m unable to see full courses, audio doesn’t work on some videos, I’ve tried all the troubleshooting possible. On top of that the few courses I can still watch I’m now getting Ads! The same courses are on YouTube the whole point of udemy was to get away from the ads but now you sellouts are showing ads between videos!

Long time customer of this learning tool. As of the most recent updates it’s feeling like they are no longer holding up the purchase/user agreement in place upon buying a course: -Courses no longer download and stay downloaded, and take forever to load (NO my internet connection is the same, it’s Udemy that’s changed). -Ads! WTaF in courses I purchased years ago, suddenly there’s ads for chickens? Like WTaF!? 100% unacceptable, uncool.

Video issues
So I have had this app for years now and I haven’t had any issues with it but now I can’t play my videos and all my photography videos disappear. I would like to know what’s going on and if I’m getting refunded since I don’t have my videos anymore.

Hell No!!! (on the advertising on paid content!)
I used to like this platform, but suddenly they are starting to run ads even on my paid content. When I pay for a course, I don’t expect to see advertising to play before the start of the video. If I wanted to watch advertising videos, I would simply go to YouTube for tutorial content. I can understand putting advertising on free courses, but not paid ones. This decision of theirs is a big mistake and will stop me dead in my tracks from purchasing any more courses.

Errors when loading lectures, videos don't play and no lessons or other information available once clicked on.
Very unstable app
One of the worst apps. Some lessons cannot be downloaded, and some cannot be played. The download button sometimes keeps spinning and I don’t know what the download status is. Very frustrating.

Udemy videos has a streaming issue, while other video platforms like youtube, LinkedIn, and others works. Udemy videos don’t load and it’s frustrating.

The app seems very buggy. I purchased a course. First it didn’t show up in my learning. I deleted and reinstalled the app. Now the same course only shows 2 lectures and the app asks to view my certificate after just two intro lectures

Not working anymore
The last versions of the app go from bad to worse. I couldn’t find my latest purchased course, now the videos won’t play. No amount of closing or reinstalling helps. Very disappointing for a company with so many courses on how to develop apps! They should watch some
Wow still no fix?
For months now video has not been working on mobile AT ALL. When is this going to be fixed? Is there anyone even updating the mobile app anymore??

The new update is not letting the app load. So it’s virtually unusable right now.

Cannot view any videos with this app. It constantly refuses to play or download with internet errors. Device works fine for all other app, deleting and reinstalling does not fix the issue. No VPN. It just can’t handle whatever situation that all other apps on the phone can manage without issue.
It just doesn’t work
The First video after i’ve installed the app again it will play but as soon as i go to the next video it will just not play. Tried cellular data, tried two different wifi networks, tried to download the videos and play them airplane mode, nothing work except deleting the app reinstalling it. I tried to contact customer support except for everybody’s inconvenience they only have a AI chat bot. I went through the forums but every response anybody gets is a copy and paste solution to chat with the bot. Downloaded to learn but instead spent more time trying to get it to work

I bought a course in the app so that I can study but this app makes it impossible. Everything was fine until the fifth video on the course that didn’t want to play. Then I noticed that there are a lot of videos that don’t work. I uninstalled it and installed back to may now this videos that didn’t want to play in the beginning are working fine but I can’t see the list of all the other videos inside the course. Don’t recommend this app
App never works
The classes seem fine and easy enough to understand. However, this is a review for the app… i’ve had it for about two weeks now and I’ve never been able to get in without spending 30 minutes trying to get my videos to load and getting like three different errors every time… I can usually get one video to work and the rest just keep throwing up different errors for the day. It’s not an Internet issue, I have tried the app from multiple devices on multiple different networks and every time it acts up. I do wish I could leave this app a better review, but I have to use their website instead. Which feels like I’m getting cheated out of my money. Because I don’t get some of the tools that the app offers versus the website, such as the notetaking system that ties your notes to the time of the video… hope you guys can get your app fixed
Uninstalled due to use of AI in ads
I saw an ad for Udemy that was clearly 100% AI video and voice and probably the script too. I uninstalled this app because of that.

App never works
For a platform dedicated to teaching the next generation of coders and programmers, I’m surprised by how awful the iOS app functions. My courses never show up on the app and when I do play a lesson, I either get an error or refuses to let me exit fullscreen. It’s a buggy mess with the developers refusing to fix any of them. It’s been months with these persistent issues yet I’ve given the benefit of the doubt, but to no avail of these problems being fixed. Get your own developers to do the lessons they clearly need them.

I tried since yesterday to get my learning courses and the app does not work, I purchased a lot of courses. Can I get my money back back ? You are braking the deals , that you can access for life .

Only a few lectures from my courses get displayed. Same bug between iPhone and iPad. It’s not my internet connection because the browser version of udemy works fine

It’s misleading that they don’t tell you up from that the personal plan doesn’t include all courses and their customer service is poor.
Always stops playing video
Literally everytime I use this the app just stops playing the video I’m watching. Sometimes deleting and redownloading helps it play again but it’s every time I use the app, it’s wild. I end up needing to use my laptop which is not always accessible.

Might as well just use the web site
I purchased a course on the web site and then figured I’d use the iPad app to take it. When I opened the course in the app it only loaded the first two videos and nothing I could think to try made the rest of them show up. For an app that already felt just a wrapper around the website anyway it was very frustrating. I guess I’ll just do the course from a web browser.

Instructor side of the app hasn’t worked in months. I’ve been patient. No more.
Video quality
I used my iPad for years to watch Udemy courses. Yesterday I upgraded my iPadOS to 26.3 and downloaded the latest version of Udemy app. I cannot watch the video any more. It’s all so blurry. Please fix your app so people can still use it. It’s a shame for Udemy to be so behind.
Good platform. Terrible app
For several months now the iOS app has been virtually unusable. Errors loading video, and when they do eventually load, constant playback issues. I constantly have to change devices to even get a lecture or practice exam started. At this rate there’s no point to having a mobile app if the company isn’t going to have their devs prioritize a bug fix. Instead of directing people to a support site, please. Fix the issue.

Half the videos won’t play
I’m having to switch back and forth between my iPad, phone and the website just to watch the videos in my course because the app won’t play them all in order on any device. You play one and the next two or three won’t start, so you have to switch to a different device. Horrible user experience.

Urgent: Unable to Access Account - 2FA Code Not Received

Since the recent login update, I have been unable to access my account. I do not receive the 6-digit authentication code, and the password login option no longer works.
This has effectively locked me out of my account. I own more than 20 purchased courses, and being told to create a new account and repurchase everything is not an acceptable solution.
I have already contacted customer service and was informed that nothing more can be done. I respectfully request this case be escalated, as I need access to the content I have paid for.
Please advise on how this can be resolved.

There are ads in courses that I paid full price for. There was no notice of this and no way to remove them. I’m never buying a course from Udemy again.
this wasn’t always an issue
On a iphone it works properly, on ipad the app will try and force you to download every lecture to play it. Even if you are on wifi or using cellular videos wont stream, Why force ppl to use their space. Deleting from my ipad I will just use the browser.
Latest update created bugs
Just updated and my courses will no longer work properly. I’ll finish one video and when it goes to start the next one it gets stuck buffering. The only work around is to delete the app and reinstall but you can only do that so many times. Really annoying. Please fix!

I got this with the intent of using it without internet - I downloaded all my courses for a long camping trip with no internet, and the app logged me out because I had no internet - therefore, I couldn’t log back in to use the courses I bought, specifically to learn on the trip. Useless app.
