What just happened?
So I started off with Suno and then I read a review of it said this would get closer to my African-American preference… So I punched in the same thing. I punched him with Sueno, except for I answered the questions pick the category is that I chose African-American and it still came out with some white guy screaming rock ‘n’ roll! No, this is like the music industry has always been people who have no consideration for the culture of other people! So this is very disappointing on my first shot. I’ll try again but it’s just very discouraging. I’d rather just write the music myself. Someone just let me onto this type of program, but it would seem to me. It’s too for someone in your development area to recognize Black people.!
Low quality music generator
Absolute garbage. Didn’t follow my prompts, is very limited in what it can do, and sounds awful when the music is generated. Very little credits are given each day to generate music compared to other free plans on other music generating apps. Probably the worst music generating app I’ve ever encountered; the 4 compositions I had it create all sounded low quality and nothing like I described and wiped out my credits for the day. I deleted my account in the app immediately and threw the whole app out. Don’t waste your time; stick with Suno AI or use the music generating potential of Gemini, because those are high quality!

Worst. Just horrible.
I asked for a k-pop style song and it created a 30 second song with the cringiest lyrics and barely any english.
Complete and Total Utter Rubbish
It only generated rubbish songs that were 30 seconds long. I could barely hear the words at all, everything was extremely messy, and it just sounded bad. Would not recommend. Go with Suno.

Due to a lawsuit which resulted in users no longer being able to download any of their creations or use commercially this app/program is pointless….do not waste your money!
Why no downloads is silly
I’m newish I was able to download the mp3 of the song. Why else would I pay premium? I just don’t get it. I mean, is clearly the a swindle.

Full of bugs, can’t get a code to sign in via text, can’t create a username when using email. Don’t waste your 10mins.

I was given an understanding this was a better alternative to Suno. I disagree.
You only get full songs if you pay for an account and the 32 second AI creations asked it for were terrible. I don’t think the first round was even English. I don’t know what it was. It was bad.

Turned into garbage
It was great while it lasted. At least I was able to download all of my creations, since the app only plays 1 min of a song then cuts off. There’s now zero reason I’ll ever use this app, or my account, since remixing someone else’s song in a walled garden is absolutely lame.
Ruined
Sold out to UMG to fend off the frivolous RIAA lawsuit, now we can’t download our own tracks or track stems to work with any more and are losing the rights to our music. Bogus.
Dishonest Company
You cannot download your created music and it did not say anything about that when signing up although there were places on the Internet that said you could. I purchased a yearly subscription to only find out that I could not get my WAV files or stems. Buyer beware.

I downloaded this app because it advertised to be better than Suno. I pasted my lyrics into the app and it generated a song that didn’t have a single word I pasted. To top it off there was no option to type in styles or anything! How dare you compare this app to Suno! This app might be good for goofing around but it left a bad taste in my mouth. I will try again later and see if it is fixed. If not it will be deleted like all the other fake apps out there.

If outputs are original, export should be allowed. If they’re not, that’s a model problem. Blocking export and account migration while allowing only “sharing” shows that these choices are about platform lock-in, not artists’ rights.

I tried this out thinking hey I can make a song and have someone else sing it. Like ai. But no. All that it did was take my song lyrics and use it for talking. Like it was for a poem for stage art. Very bad.

This app made me very, very angry
I looked on Reddit and I found this app. I was using Donna before and I really liked it except it didn’t let me make more than like six songs so I tried this one and it made me very angry for one,It didn’t follow my lyrics at all it didn’t get any idea from it It didn’t follow the lyrics second of all none of the buttons worked I tried to get out of a song, but it wouldn’t let me. I tried all the buttons it wouldn’t let me and it just made me very angry and also it was very confusing and I was all over the place. It just made me very angry and I do not like it. Hopefully, you found this review helpful.

If you want to test the feature where it extrapolates from your solo, forget about it unless you're willing to do a leap of faith and pay before you see what it can do. Surely these geniuses can figure out a way to let someone try it without buying it. I would gladly pay the money if I knew that it worked.

Paid $10 for gibberish vocals, wrong voices, and 30-second fragments pretending to be songs. Extensions are a joke, customer support is nonexistent. Udio is a rip-off - avoid at all costs. We need a negative star option.

This app is horrible! It’s not easy to use at all. All my songs sound like gibberish. Why is it so difficult to use? How can anyone make anything on this? I’m so confused on how people say this is a good app. Every song sound like horrible singers. Its like the singers and rappers I prompt have not talent.😭😭😭😭I even tried to use ChatGPT to help and it just waste my credits. Will not be using this. Suno is way better and easy to use. I can’t do this goofy app. It’s trash!

Terrible Voice Over Accessibility Support
This app looks like a lot of fun but accessibility with voice over is nearly impossible. Many buttons are not labeled, others are not even clickable, and the app will not allow text entry from an external keyboard. Even voice dictation of text is unusuable with voice over enabled. After managing to create a song I could find no way to listen to it or edit it with voice over. I finally gave up out of frustration…, definately not worth paying for anything here.
Maybe I just don’t know how to use Udio…
Since I’m not the best singer, but also not too shabby, I figured I would record my song with my voice, and using one finger to play the melody on a piano, and upload that audio to Udio, to see if it could remix it into something that sounds awesome. I wrote in the prompt box that the remix should include a full ensemble of instruments and drums, and the singer should sound better than me. Pretty simple, right? I used all the default settings, and clicked “create”. And the result was so bad, I literally busted out laughing. It kept my one finger piano playing, only it managed to make it even worse. And the male vocal sounded exactly like my own voice, with a really wonky auto tune added, so it was bending and warbling the voice. And neither did it keep the unique jazz-style timings of how my lyrics land on the downbeats in a unique way, and instead, it moved the lyrics to land very squarely on the down beats, like a robot. I mean, it honestly could not have done a worse job. I just had to laugh. So I tried again about 15 times, with different prompts and settings, and no matter what I ask, it just ignores everything I type in the prompt box, it just does the same thing. I honestly do not believe this Udio has the capability of taking a simple one finger, piano, tune, and turning it into anything more complex. If you upload that, then that’s what’s gonna be in the remix, only it will make it more robotic, and that’s about it. And whatever allows, the voice you have, it’s only just gonna make it even worse. I honestly don’t think this thing can improve an audio that you upload. It’s just gonna give you back the same thing you upload, only more robotic sounding. And changing any of the settings to anything different than the default, only makes it even worse. Also, I took the seven day trial, but I was forced within literally three minutes to upgrade to the paid version, without really even being able to test it first. I would not have upgraded to the paid version if I could have tested it more thoroughly first. but it only lets you do two minutes of music creation, and then demands that you upgrade your trial. But two minutes wasn’t enough to convince me. I mean, it was terrible. But I thought surely if I tweak some setting, I would get better results. so the trial was enough time for me to see that it was bad. But it wasn’t enough to convince me, but it wasn’t simply an incorrect setting of mine. So I ended up paying for the paid version, just so I could try a few more settings. Which I did, and nothing improved. Then I immediately wished I had my money back, but of course, they don’t do that. So my advice to anyone reading this is, if you use up the two minutes of your trial, and you didn’t like the results, don’t pay money just so you can try a few more tweaks. Because it won’t help. There’s nothing wrong with your settings. If it doesn’t give you good results on the default settings, it ain’t gonna give you better by tweaking.

App Crashes
I love generating Udio music, but the app keeps crashing in under a minute of playing songs, which is the reason I’m giving it 1 Star right now ow.
Please fix it
I know it was just released but please work out the kinks. I can’t listen to my tracks without the app just crashing out of nowhere. How can you release an app that is broken. One star until that issue is resolved, I literally haven’t even bothered trying to do anything else on the app. I’ll continue using the web browser.

I just bought the $10 standard plan and the music doesn’t even sound like real music. The AI sounds robotic and compared to Suno. This is not even close.
