Most of the reviews are fake.. app and company scams people … wouldn’t stop sending me emails to “verify my account” when id never even heard of them…. Now im here and see… Uphold is 100% scam and trash, stealing money from ignorant people
Uphold robbed me.
My account was held in review for four days without notice. So I was unable to make the necessary trade after converting my money. I send a ticket, with messages. Called their complaint line, with messages. But no one got back to me. Not only are they not going to reimburse me. They took $300 from my already reduced funds after I converted it back. Do not use this sham of an app.
User friendly
The app is not user friendly. It’s difficult to figure out what the screen is asking for. As a novice, I feel the app is very difficult for a beginner to use and is not user friendly at all.

Predatory Practices
I was offered $30 in BTC bonus if i deposited and bought $10 worth of BTC. This bonus was never given to me. Absolute scam.
very bad experience
This app appears to work fine initially, but after making a few deposits, my account was blocked for “fraud prevention” with no opportunity to appeal. They held my funds for 65 days and prevented me from making any withdrawals. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience, and I would not recommend this app to anyone.

Scam company that tries to steal your money
Have phone authentication as they require two factor authentication. But they refused to accept phone authentication and required app download to access funds. Then after app was downloaded they still refused to let me in it to several go arounds to get in and they violated Apple app terms enabling all items despite me denying permissions. Then after manually disabling them again they reenabled them the next time I started the app without asking.
Took my crypto
Get your crypto off this exchange. They took some of my crypto without my authorization and will not refund my wallet. Been a customer with them for 5 years and my business and loyalty means nothing to them.

Well, announce you are no longer supporting an asset and then have issues as I try to sell it. Cost me 20%.

They will take your money just fine but never let you transfer it back out!!
Don’t use
Expensive fees and terrible service. After they decided to stop supporting the coin I was holding, they charged me $3 just to withdraw $14 worth of crypto. Their sudden decisions forced me to keep dumping my holdings. Worst service ever.
Bad don’t use
The fees are incredibly high. They keep adding more and more unnecessary kyc and then they’ll list coins and then randomly delist them later on. The user interface sucks. Just use coinbase instead. The one cool thing they ever did was leave xrp on when the lawsuit hit. But that was it.

not a great experience customer service takes days to respond even between updates. walmart took money out of my account when i was duppped into swiping my card again after a seemingly failed swipe they investigated and i was told money did not leave my account when i clearly know it did they just suck!

I see you guys have deleted my last review. Not sure why you are allowed to do that but whatever. I just requested that you delete my account because I most likely will never be able to afford 99 cents for absolutely every single transaction you make in uphold!! You can keep the little $1.00 worth of LTC that took a really long time to build up!!!! Hopefully you can’t dele this review so other not rich people like myself see that you charge 99 cents for anything you do. Cannot withdraw my own money “read before you invest”
I invested $6,500 into this app, and when I decided to withdraw my own money, my account was suddenly blocked for “potential misuse.” It has now been almost a week, and I still have not been able to access or withdraw my funds.
What is even more frustrating is the lack of communication and transparency from support. I offered multiple solutions to help verify my identity and speed up the process, including providing my ID, passport, or even participating in a face-to-face verification if necessary. Despite my efforts, I have received no clear resolution or timeline.
To make matters worse, I was told that continuing to email support could actually delay the process further. Having your money locked with no proper explanation or urgency is extremely concerning. I hope this issue is resolved soon, but based on my experience so far, I cannot recommend this app to others.

Stay away fraudsters 100 percent stole my deposit
Absolute nightmare company stay far away far better option than company that steals your money and then uses your deposits to falsely invest.

I transferred 3.4 ETH that I bought through uphold at an insane 2% fee (Coinbase charges .6%). Was okay with this for the convenience of their integration with SaltLending. Then, after using their integration, they restricted my account (blocking me from withdrawing my OWN money) for over a week without explanation. I followed up every other day which they responded with “we’ve escalated this” and then finally sent me a “we’re closing this account” with no explanation. Do not do business with them. Their support, fees, and crypto integrations are worse than having your own wallet.

8%fees on selling
Will not buy or sell on this site again. Cost 2-3% fee to buy and 8% fees to sell. 11% goes to uphold. How can you trade and be profitable? You can’t coinbase is way cheaper and more user friendly!

If you have a problem and open a ticket you can’t get help because they send you a notification into the app and if you can’t log into the app, you can’t open the notification so you’re in this constant loop of going back back-and-forth because you can’t reset your password and you can’t get to your ticket, make it make sense
Uphold Support Wrong
Uphold app and Support are useless. They’re insisting I can deposit $15,000 /day using a Visa or MasterCard Credit Card INSTANTLY. Instead my Visa Credit Card was denied and Visa Support said I cannot use a credit card but can use a Debit Card. Uphold response says there must be something wrong with my Card but Visa said there nothing wrong with my Credit or Card

SCAM APP DO NOT USE AT ALL
They held my money for 65 days due to an ACH deposit after my account was restricted. I patiently waited the full 65 days as instructed, expecting my refund to be processed, but up till now-68 days and counting-I have received nothing.

Data Not Safe
A recent update required biometric usage in order to access my account. I do not want to release such information and now there’s no way to use the app without it. If you value your data personally and professionally do not use this app.

No support for new investors
I was hopeful that I would make something out of the investment I made. However that was not the case here. It only took a day for my initial investment to drop! It continued to drop and being a new investor with little to no help, I had no idea what to invest in to being making a profit. It seemed like every diversification of in my portfolio that made for me were a duds. Then when I tried closing my account and salvaging what money I had left I would run into minimum amount problems. Customer service was not a help so I googled the information on how and had better help with them than customer service in this app.
Disappointed
Was very pleased with the app till recently. Tried selling lab at $16 per share, but I kept getting an “error message.” It wouldn’t let me sell. Later in the day they liquidated lab at roughly $9. Cost me around $800.
