Issues
I have some issues with this app. The biggest ones being: 1. Safety. People are not require to verify their accounts like many other apps. This is a HUGE issue. There are SO many fake accounts. Including men pretending to be 30 when they are clearly predators in their 50s or older…
2. No monitoring or settings. There are community groups. The “Ladies only” is crawling with men who have no boundaries and are trying to fish for ladies. You can block them but there should be app perimeters to block men from women’s chats and vise versa. The lack of control on this app makes it not safe for women unless you’re SUPER on guard…
3. If I say no, someone can still see me and pop up in my profile. It’s frustrating to constantly click no on profiles you’ve already filtered through.

I’m on 4 dating apps, and this one BY FAR sent the most voluminous and annoying notifications. I deleted it.

So it has brought me nobody and also the distance meter is so off… it gives me people 200-300 miles away even when I change it. The app is by far one on the worst.
Scammers
I paid twice for a week subscription twice they didn’t help me and i couldn’t view my likes or any of the service! i cancelled second subscription and as soon as i got my refund they kicked me out and block me Ill report them to bbb

This app is the worst app I have used. Do not waist your time or money. They charge for you to look at likes and every single guy I saw was either 250 to 600 miles away and I mean every single one.

Dating Simulator
You will not get matches unless you pay!! You might also get quite a few likes but none of them, 0, zip, nada, none of them will appear in your feed. The moment you swipe on someone, you're actually removing yourself from their feed unless both parties payed for premium.
Literally fraudulent
This company I believe is owned by match.com (another totally bogus dating app). You can pay for platinum and still they won’t even suggest anyone within 150 miles of you even if you set your preferences to be within a shorter distance. I’m thoroughly convinced 9/10 profiles are inactive and or bots. I’ve never been on a dating app with basically zero success. This,- out of all the main ones, is by far the worst and honestly a total waste of time. Holy is by far the best Christian dating app, it’s actually owned by good people who actually want you to find someone in the Faith, this app just wants money. Garbage. Wouldn’t recommend.

I’m unable to locate where to cancel my subscription! I signed up for the FREE trial and I wanted to cancel my subscription before I was charged. I was not satisfied with this app because even though I set my distance up to 60 miles the majority of my suggestions/matches were 200 to 500 miles away! Soooo disappointed AND I’m still being charged even though I want to cancel.

I can't sign in
It doesn't accept my birthday, so I changed the birthday and it doesn't finish. Keeps saying an error occurred. Stupid. But that's good, it's the universe saying that my husband would never be on those stupid apps. I hate myself ughhhh
Worst Customer Service
Around 1 year ago, I tried this app, but then changed my mind. I asked them to delete my account and information. A couple of days ago, I decided to try it again and went to sign up for a new account, only to find that my phone number is still attached to an account. This means they keep your information even if you ask them to delete it. I tried contacting them about it. All of their responses were as if they didn’t read the email sent to them. With no solution, they closed the matter and said they won't respond anymore. So beware, THEY KEEP YOUR INFO EVEN IF YOU ASK THEM TO DELETE IT.
Avoid this app.
Inability to change location or search outside your own area. You see the same people over and over and over. Extreme limitations on search filters (they only allow 3 LOL!). Absurd bans on users who have not broken any rules, (absurdly common with dating apps these days). You treat me poorly, you get a bad review.

Wrongfully banned
A couple days ago I put together a profile, got verified and all that. About 30 minutes later I found that I was logged out and thought that maybe the app had glitched and logged me out which understandably happens. Instead it turns out that I was wrongfully banned. I tried making a couple of appeals and they refuse to lift the ban. They banned me for ALLEGEDLY violating their Terms and Conditions or Community Guidelines. I have asked repeatedly for them to specify which of these I ALLEGEDLY violated because I wish to avoid the making the same mistake in the future and they refuse to do so. So Upward, how many of your subscribers are going to wrongfully ban without providing evidence that support your claims? So much for being a Christian based dating site!!!!
Total waste of money - just an ego boost app
This app is terrible. I bought a 6-month premium subscription expecting a solid experience, but it feels like a complete curse. I’ve had three different instances where a girl initiates the conversation, messages me first, and agrees to make plans. But the exact second you try to lock in concrete plans to meet up, they pull a total vanishing act, flake, and unmatch out of nowhere. People are only using this app for quick validation and an ego boost, not real connections. Do not waste your money on premium here; the user base is not serious at all.

Do not trust any app from match group. Just read the reviews about how dishonest and manipulative they are. Good luck with your endless swiping. I have absolutely o issues with a woman in real life. Use an app by the match group and you think something must be wrong with you because you rarely get a match that’s not a fake account.

Be prepared to never see any profiles that like yours. I’ll constantly see profiles from people hundreds of miles away, but when I bought the “Elite” membership for a month, I found that most of the women that liked me were in my area.

Too Strict
From the moment I had downloaded the app it was so strict. They gave me a violation less than a half hour in to making my account and didn't tell me what it was for or why and that I had one more time before I they would permanently remove my account. They gave me a snippy response back to me asking a question and I had deleted my account. Plus none of the men respond to you and I only had three matching the entire time I was on the app.
Feels like a bait and switch scam
It shows me that I have 50 hidden likes and I am enticed to pay for a membership. Then when I pay for a membership at LEAST half of the people are way outside my dating range both in age and distance. Why show me a like from someone 350 miles away?

App is saying my DOB isn’t valid
I’m trying to sign up for this app to check it out but I can’t seem to get past where it asks for my birthday. I put it in the order it requests but for some reason I’m being barred from going further in the app. Please fix this issue.
Resends same people all the time
This app will resend matches of people you’ve already swiped on, lack of variety in people, basically you swipe on the same 30 people every other day. Hopefully there’s a better app that works.

Worse than secular apps
I’ve been extremely disappointed in this app. Considering it’s marketed as a “Christian Dating App” the fact that “not religious,” “agnostic,” and seeking same sex relationship are options is a major red flag. The nail in the coffin is the overwhelming number fake/spam accounts. Having a real conversation without people asking for gift cards or Cash App is nearly impossible. Don’t waste your time.

I had 20 year olds and 19 old old s add me and they give me their number or ask for mine and we talk for about five minutes and already trying to some nude pic and then am like so much for a Christian app

Let’s be real. It’s hard Christian dating. It’s even harder when the app will not take into consideration the few filters you’ve set (like distance for example). I constantly get people 100+ miles away from me when I am not interested in long distance. I would rather have no one on my feed than have to filter through manually.

Stay Vigilant
Upward selling out to Match group is a big downfall. They have pretty terrible customer service. I reported a guy who had two account under different names and they couldn’t find my report or the guy to address it. Also, I’ve never come across so many fake accounts as I have on Upward. They are not keeping up with the times when it comes to security measures so you better enjoy wasting time trying to verify that someone is even real. Lastly, I’m really disappointed with how glitchy the app is. I frequently have to close it and open again as things don’t load and the message notifications are incredibly slow.
