Do not trust any app from match group. Just read the reviews about how dishonest and manipulative they are. Good luck with your endless swiping. I have absolutely o issues with a woman in real life. Use an app by the match group and you think something must be wrong with you because you rarely get a match that’s not a fake account.

Paid for platinum and it’s still charging me for everything…tf is the point???
Too Strict
From the moment I had downloaded the app it was so strict. They gave me a violation less than a half hour in to making my account and didn't tell me what it was for or why and that I had one more time before I they would permanently remove my account. They gave me a snippy response back to me asking a question and I had deleted my account. Plus none of the men respond to you and I only had three matching the entire time I was on the app.

Worthless
Complete waste of time and money. After months of putting in effort the only people that ever respond only interact a time or two and put in no effort at all and for sure aren’t interested in actually meeting up in real life. Totally giving up on dating and marriage after this. Thought maybe a Christian/ serious relationship focused app like this would be better than the run of the mill dating apps I tried before with mixed success but it’s an even worse experience. I do not recommend this app at all!!

Don’t waste your time. They hold your matches hostage until you pay to see them. And only show people out of your range. Hundreds of miles away.

I have used a lot of dating apps. This app has been so glitchy. On top of that, I went to go cancel my subscription and the app won’t allow me to do so. I’ve been on the phone with several customer service reps. No dating app should be this difficult. Also, I was being matched with guys in their 40s and 50s and I am in my 20s. I had set it to a certain age group but I guess that doesn’t work.

Distance feature doesn’t work, you’ll only see people 125-300 miles away
Waste of time
Honestly, what a joke. Dont even download this garbage. They'l spam you every few hours as if you have a match and then ask you to pay to see who matched with you. Garbage. 1 star. Total filth.

The app is not clear on fees and the different “levels”. It’s very expensive to access actually seeing who is interested and actually chatting. Not worth the money.
I don’t like it
So there’s a couple of things that I don’t like about the app. It offers three subscription packages however the most affordable package doesn’t doesn’t really include the features that would make me want to open the app and use it consistently. Another thing that bothers me is that they would like you to pay for the subscription in full upfront instead of offering a true monthly payment option like it initially suggested. maybe that’s OK with some people but I am uncomfortable paying $119 upfront without knowing whether the app actually works for me. I’d much rather pay $20 a month to try it out and have the option to cancel if it doesn’t meet my expectations.
Overall
Terrible, likes won’t ever appear even after 200 swipes unless you pay an absurd $22 a week premium. Makes dating apps feel so worthless.

I live in a city with 1 million people, paid for platinum, I’m a decent looking guy with a great job, cute dog and am vocal about attending/serving with my church. I’ve been on it for 6 months off and on. Upward is just another trap made by Match Group who owns tinder and every other dating platform. Shame on this disgusting company.

Why does it give you the option to date same sex? I don’t even need to explain. God made men and women for each other.

Bots not real people
This is the worst dating app I’ve ever used. It is FLOODED with fake profiles. There is no filter to find people who are local to you. It’s glitched and always takes me to my indeed profile when opening? Something is not right…
Rude
I had an issue with my account and when I tried to contact customer service they were very rude to me and not willing to help at all.
Bugs in the app and no way to contact support
You do not have a support page and trying to contact support in the app results in an “email error”. Lastly, I paid for platinum and the features are not enabled. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Problem remains.
Non Christian Developers
Filters do not work at all, if you want to find someone 200 miles away you’re in good hands. You can not mention the Bible or Bible verses, their bots who listen in on all conversations send flags recommending you do not offend anyone. They changed the filter word “Marriage” to “Life Partner”. Thousands of scammers, it’s difficult to tell who’s real. The Match app seems easier to find Christians who are local.
Pay to See Who Liked You???
Are you seriously telling me that I need to pay money in order to see who liked my profile? Trying to find a Christian to date in Utah is hard enough. That’s worth deleting the app entirely.

When you set a distance, it dosent care. All you receive is matches from , 200, 400,600,1000 miles away. I thought paying for this app would help. But nope, I thru that money away, also when you set preferences, its like you never did. I set age preference , from 49-68, Im getting 23, 32 or 40 year old people. I WANT MY MONEY BACK. Plus ALOT , Alot of scammers. More than real people

Horrible customer service
I have had this app for 24 hours. I subscribed for a month with the Elite membership. And I can’t see any views, no likes, it continuously crashes on me with a “oops” popup, the ads are still coming up. I’ve reached out to customer service twice and they have no responded. This is really disappointing. I can’t seem to get a refund either.
Just use Hinge, Holy, or Ark
at least you can see likes on these platforms ^ all this app does is suggest paying to see likes. No different than Tinder wrapped in a Christian facade. Shameful from Match Group. Not to mention the filters DO NOT WORK...suggests users from 300+ miles away, when there are plenty of locals under 100. smh

Worst algorithm
Algo doesnt ever let you come across 90% of your likes to even get a chance to swipe on them. Instead they hold them from u in order to force monetization. This app is disgusting.

App freezing even after I paid
So through the suggestion of my daughter, I downloaded this app. At first, I thought it was just me and the App was freezing. I then ordered a weak trial just to see if that would update the app and it didn’t work. Apparently this is not the app for me. Sent an email for customer service and still have not gotten a response as of yet.

FILTERS DO NOT WORK!!
Part of the whole way they try to get you to pay for this app tell you that you can filter. They say you can filter by denomination, by location, by 20 different criteria.
Guess what? The only filter that works by age. This is a Christian dating app and you cannot even filter by denomination even if you pay for it when they say that if you do pay for it, you will get that.
If you don’t believe me, google it, and it has been a problem for the last year or two. I even made a post on the app and so does anyone else have a problem with this in about 20 people responded and said they are quitting because none of the filters work.

Scammed
This app scammed me out of $59.99. I never used the app. They can see this. They said they can’t get a refund because I deleted my account. Well that doesn’t quite make sense. I had to cancel my debit card and file a report with my bank to keep them from taking more of my money.
Trash
Just like every other dating app this one is horrible. They have fake accounts they bombarded you with so many ads to try to get you to purchase a subscription. The app is straight garbage. Save yourself some time and try to meet a partner the old-fashioned way.

Scams and Bots
This app is set up that if you don’t pay for each match they will only show you “people” that are 100+ miles away. I say “people” because they are about 75% bots you’re interacting with. I used it for about a week. I have 15 conversations going and they are all “in financial services, or business development and what is your profession if you don’t mind my asking?” Oh and “I came here from Milan or France or Germany, by way of Los Angels CA and am recently in Denver.” No one talks like that. They all are bots with the same story.

My overall review of this app is scathing. You can only write 120 characters for your profile. Which that doesn’t give anyone any kind of idea of who you are, or what you’re about. You can’t read or write messages unless you upgrade to a paid membership. Which that is utterly unacceptable, because what if you don’t find anyone? Should you be forced to buy something that you may not like! The app dev loopers are terrible! And I hope their app goes bankrupt!

Fake profiles
Hundreds and hundreds of fake profiles. All with the same story. “I’m from such and such foreign country but I grew up in L.A.” They’re starting to change their story now though lol. One said he’s from Havana and grew up in Miami and doesn’t speak Spanish. Possible but I’m not falling for it bc in my part of town we have no such people.

Hope you’re okay with long distance relationships
For some reason, Upward will show you profiles of people in your distance range for your first day on the app. After that, get ready for every profile to be 150 to 300 miles away from you. There’s no way I exhausted every local user profile in half a day. The app intentionally shows you people far away from some reason. I’d say it’s worth using for free I guess, but don’t waste your money paying for the upgrades. Knowing who liked you isn’t beneficial if you’re not into long distance and they’re 2 states away.
Filters do not work
I have my filters set to only find people within 20 miles of me. Upward is showing me people who are 400 miles from me! It’s like the first time I login, I’ll see someone close. But every person after that is hundreds of miles away. I have to constantly scroll to see their distance, and then swipe left because that’s just too far.
