So like 2 days ago I renewed my subscription for video star. My app was laggy so I ended up updating it and turns outs my subscription got cancelled????? Please help I have no idea what I did wrong

To the Video Star Team,
I am beyond frustrated, and frankly shocked, at how your app handles user data especially for paying subscribers.
I renewed my subscription two days ago, Two days. After attempting to offload the app for storage management, the app disappeared and every single in-progress project was permanently erased. There was no warning, no recovery option, no cloud backup, and no account system to protect the work I invested hours into.
How is it acceptable in 2026 for a subscription-based editing app to have no account login, no cloud sync, and no project recovery system? Users are paying real money for your service, yet their work is treated as disposable the moment the app is removed from a device.
Creative work is not temporary. Time is not refundable. And a paid app should not function like a risk gamble where deleting or offloading it wipes everything without protection.
This is not just an inconvenience it is a serious product design failure.
I want a direct answer to the following:
1. Is there any possible way to recover deleted project data tied to my device or subscription?
2. Why does a paid subscription not include secure cloud-based project backup?
3. What steps are being taken to prevent this from continuing to happen to paying users?
Subscribers deserve a system that protects their work. At the very least, there should be clear, unavoidable warnings that deleting the app permanently destroys all projects.
I expect a detailed response addressing these concerns.

UPDATE: What happened to the Mimi library I had in Video Star??
I updated the app. I do not like the updated version of the video gallery. The older version was much more organized and cleaner than the newer version. The older version had its own category/section on Video Star, where I could click on the plus button to select which video I wanted from my own personal gallery and put on your guys gallery (video star).
To me it was much more easier and organized because my personal gallery is all over the place, and so it’s harder to find the videos in the newer update version. Please hear me out and bring it back please, I really would appreciate it. I already talked to the support team about it. Thank you.

Why force a subscription?
I’ve used this app for like 5 years to make videos and it was my go to since it was easy to learn. Now it changes to subscription based? Limiting everything we had before- number of layers, amount of QR codes, access to effects... That’s bs. Why force people to pay for a subscription when paying for packs worked just fine before? It seems greedy now. It was a great app before this update.
Recent update
The recent update is not the best when you go to pick an audio it has you selected it is super confusing. Nothing like how it used to be. The old version was way better. This is just stupid because sometimes it will select it and won’t even play the audio.
My video star was gone the same month I got it
I bought video star on like the 8th and it said it expired of the 14th mind u I bought it for a month and it expired the same month and I barely got to use it please fix I don’t know if it’s a bug or glitch but fix it please and thank you.
Horrible updates
These new updates are so frustrating. It won’t even let me load a video I loaded a week prior! Ugh I used to love this app but it’s gone downhill lately

Been on this app for 3 years and I’m just wondering when is the quality gonna get better. I upload 4K clips into the 4K quality setting and once they’re imported it’s no longer 4K..? And also when using 4K quality settings it COMPLETELY CRASHES my entire phone when I’m editing on multi layer. Yes, I’ve checked if I have space and updated the app multiple times and there’s still no solution to this problem. I really hope you guys can get this together soon because this is really an inconvenience.

Didn’t now receive my subscription!!!!!
I brought video star pro, edited like I normally would with it. I took a break after editing for a few hours, when I came back I tried to use an effect but it said I did not have video star pro. Which I was confused since I just edited with pro, I went to check and it was said not active. Maybe my payment declined? I thought. But when I checked my transaction it had been bought for $5.33 like it usually takes. I am now out of $5 and my video star pro I was reallly looking forward to finishing my edit too..😕💔
used to love this app, until ...
i have been using this app for YEARS with no issues when it comes to editing, even when not paying for pro. until now, when you for some reason, out of nowhere, can't have more than 1 layer per scene in your projects without paying for pro. what the heck!!!?? yall are so money hungry all of a sudden. dont use videostar unless you're willing to pay for pro, or else its unusable.
