Tried the free seven days to see if I liked the app and I didn’t need it for my business practice. I tried to cancel the membership they continue to counter to my bank on this and won’t refund me. Zero usage and I paid well over $120 for the year on an app that won’t be used. Bad customer service.
Pay walls
Just another video editing app that will stop you from trying anything with paywalls. I’d advise trying on a different platform or laptop if possible on one of the many free platforms.

They turned into a huge scam
Also. The Developers lie like crazy when they say they want your suggestions. They actually don’t and they blatantly ignore it. They are greedy, and their responses are all written by AI. If you can find a better app for editing, then please do. Don’t give these guys any money. They don’t deserve it for their greed.

Charged me twice
This app has been charging me at the beginning and end of each month even though I only have one subscription. As far as editors go this is even in the top 1000.
Voiceover should be free
Also I should be allowed to screencap my videos.

Canceled this through apple subscription and they kept charging me.
Daily upload limit??
I used to use video leap for EVERYTHING- but they’ve been getting totally greedy. You can only export 4 times if you don’t have “pro” when before that didn’t matter. It’s turned me off, I’ll be continuing to use CapCut instead.
Disappointing
I used to use this app all the time to edit my YouTube videos and LOVED it and now they cater to TikTok and reels so long format videos are almost impossible to edit on this app. Once you add more than 1-2 minutes of footage the glitches start occurring. The video lags as you edit and now none of my projects will even open to view. So disappointing due to the fact that this really used to be the best software to edit my videos and I even was a premium subscriber! Shouldn’t have added AI…

Free features locked over time
I began to use this app a lot around 2019ish, mostly for fun memes to be shared with friends. Over time more and more features have been watermarked or locked behind paywalls. It was possible to screen record the edits but that got fixed. Not sure when that happened but the app is dead weight now considering there are free-er and better options literally everywhere.
App crashes for no reason
Anyone else having the same issue? I updated it, I have upgraded a new phone and the app crashes within 5 seconds.
Literally tries to milk your money
Here are some Horrible money hungry additions They added throughout the past couple years:
- Mandatory watermark
- Inability to record
- LIMITED EXPORTS
- Adding features then after some time locking them behind a membership
- Countless app breaking bugs that’ll make you either have no choice but to restart your phone or even **RESTART YOUR PROJECT!!!!**
(and the problem is that these bugs have been in the app for YEARS!!! But instead of fixing stuff they just choose to add unnecessary and sloppy AI features)
And they removed my *150 DOLLAR lifetime subscription* in favor of **not monthly** but 5-10 Dollars a ***WEEK*** for a membership. Yes, that’s 260-520 dollars a YEAR for a **PHONE SUBSCRIPTION**
It’s really sad how predatory all of these editing software companies. These guys saw Adobe and were like “yo hold my beer.” If you can find another editing software I’d highly recommend anything else!! It’s not like people could see this review because the 5 stars are one hundred percent botted.

Awful. Audio clipping prevent through audio splices, can't have empty spots on timelines to make room when editing, only one row moves down at a time after deleting a clip, frequent crashes, have to close and open app to get it to remember the correct clip being played, and overall editing behavior is not intuitive.
No access Ai voices ????
I paid for a bunch of ai voice profiles individually.

Do not enable the free trial, even if you cancel 1 minute later it will charge you a normal subscription rate a few hours after. I contacted Apple. Tomorrow I’ll report it to the bank. I don’t like dishonest apps like this.
Greedy
I’ve been on this app since like 2018 the amount of useless changes that have been done is insane. Then the audacity to just be money hungry like this app was better than CapCut is insane to me. I’m a YouTuber I’ve edited on this app for years and god forbid you have to edit a video that is 10 minutes like the app will just start lagging like crazy making it impossible for you to finish. How does technology get better over the years yet this app gets worse now I can’t even export a video with out that trash logo popping up dude get outta here man

Erase Disabled by Videoleap! Booooo!
This app USED to work well, but after reaching out repeatedly to Videoleap for assistance with their erase feature not working. They said they’ll get to it when they get to it. It is still not working!! Awful! Just awful!
The worst in the world
Whenever I’m trying to make an edit for my YouTube channel I save it in Videoleap I exit out of it to get my videos for it and it just deletes the entire thing my videos are gone and I just happened like twice and I spent about 3hours on this and it’s so annoying for it to delete my videos I want this patched or I’m just going to switch to Calcutta which is way better

Used to be free
Three to five years ago it was an amazing app, but recently the UI is becoming oversimplified and harder to use, since things are being moved around into categories. Almost all the features that used to be free are all premium, plus every video is watermarked by default now. It used to only be when you used premium things. Overall the quality has gotten worse compared to that of Capcut or something, which has more options with the same type of watermark. The forced sign in and turning it into a social media style app doesn't really fit how it originally was, where the focus was actually usability and video editing.
THE APP DELETED ALL MY VIDEOS OUT OF NOWHERE DO NOT USE
Had to grab an old video of mine after not using Videoleap for a while, only to find out ALLLLL my videos have been deleted out of no where. I still have my account but no videos to speak of. Absolute trash, DO NOT USE

This app is not worth the money. CapCut is free and does the exact same thing. Additionally they are predatory when it comes to billing. I purchased a subscription which automatically renewed without even and email of the upcoming charge. I emailed customer service before the charge even cleared on my credit card and said refunds are not in their policy. Unacceptable and predatory

It’s really frustrating.
FB claims music is copyrighted
When I post a video with music added from Video eap, I get a message from Facebook that I don’t have the rights to use this music. Very frustrating. Why am I paying Videoleap for music that I cannot use?

The best troubleshooting option that the support team offers is to "duplicate" the video, which doesnt work.
Its just frustrating because so many new features have been added that are actually cool, but this app fails at so many basic things

Lots of bugs
Just updated it and I can see everything fine except my videos. Trying to edit a video and it gets stuck on a clip then it freezes or it doesn’t even show me the video clips in the project. I tried closing out the app, and then reopening it, but that doesn’t help either. Very frustrating because I paid for the lifetime membership.
