Does not update your subscription
This is the second time I have purchased the iVIN Lite subscription and after just a few then VIN checks, it tells me I have ran out of free reports when I have made the purchase. Do not waste your time or money with this application.
Must pay premium for all features
I used to use this app a couple years ago, and it used to have a comprehensive list of features, accidents, owners, maintenance…. You have to pay to see the info now. Uninstalling immediately.
Useless app
Used to be a good app but now all basic information is behind a pay wall. Only information “free” is found on the external badging from factory. No engine size. No factory options. “The only report you’ll need” (with per-use fees).

Update: Still shopping for cars and I run into a paywall?? I saw some old developer responses to people’s reviews stating that they determined that 10 free reports was adequate but I’m seeing now that it’s been shortened further to 5. I’m disappointed. I really thought this app was a game changer, but it’s just another cash grab. Deleting.

Not only does this app provide you with tons of free info to help you make decisions on used cars, but it provides the links to legitimate and reliable sites that provide the info you’re looking for. I learned quite a bit from this app within the first 5 minutes of using it. THIS is how VIN lookup apps should be made. THIS is how you help people.

this is a great app, when it works. I started using this app on my phone and I was using it so much I reached my limit so I upgraded my subscription to the unlimited. However it didn’t work and it still charged me monthly. It kept wanting me to sign up for the reports when I’m already paying for them through Apple Pay. Apple did credit me back one of the months that I lost. However, that’s not what I wanted. I actually wanted the app to recognize that I’ve already paid and let me continue to use the application.

Only gives you 5 scans free a month. Wasted two of them testing.

Pay Wall Nonsense
As others have said in their reviews, this was a great app a few years ago. The functions remain good, but now everything is locked behind a Pay wall in the worst way. I understand that app developers should be entitled to income of some kind for their work, however; the way they set up the Pay wall and the options for paying are lousy to say the least.
