The country and region were identical on both phones. I also noticed that the reviews differ slightly even though they use the same words - it feels like they were written by AI or are fake.

Not very well done
There are no addresses to the wineries in the app. This is very useless.

App sucks
Downloaded the app tried to login with multiple different ways Facebook, Apple Google. None of them aren't really login or subscribe friendly at all zero friendliness on that end. Literally couldn't even use the app because I was just stuck on the sign in or becoming a user login page.

Good app, but paid Support is terrible
I have being a subscriber for years and bought many thousands of $s worth of wine through them. I recently started running into issues ordering wine from a major winery. First their automated chat support is completely inadequate. Even hooking up a simple LLM model to their chatbot would be a major improvement over what they had today. Second, their human support is just as inadequate. Taking days to respond on each turn of the message. After not having my issue progress in months, I cut my losses and stopped my subscription. I now use the app to lookup wine ratings - but no more buying or subscribing to Vivino Premium without them overhauling their Support.

Poor execution
Great to have a wine enthusiast app. Unfortunately this is a very poorly executed one. Wine classification, region and style identification , filtering, basically all functionalities are subpar. It is not on a level to justify a premium membership. And when are they going to fix the bugs? Too many to list, but for starters, when you chose to display your wines from a particular grape of region, why do you get everything that you scanned? Who and how gives app choice awards?
Something changed - not in a good way
Logged in as I always do, and years of reviews and cellar entries are no where to be fount. Instead the app asks an unending number of questions about tastes - clearly trying to sell me wines. Was useful. But unless it reverts to what they had, I will part ways and don’t recommend others jump on board.
Latest update broke login capability
With the latest update, can no longer login with Facebook. Endless loop
Ads despite paying for premium
I am getting constant and obstructive ads despite upgrading to premium. They justify this by calling them sponsored listings, but receiving 4 sponsored ads on one page is insane for an app that says that premium will get rid of ads. Poor taste and dishonest.
Expensive
They charged me $48 and I don’t want this app. They should let people cancel on the day they charge you. Another good idea would be to let people know a week before the renewal. Now I’m stuck with this stupid app.
The application doesn’t have a subscription cancellation option
The bot tells you go to the application but there is no way to cancel a subscriptions. I am going to call my credit card company as this is a rip off.
Total scam
DONT FALL FOR IT! You scan the wine, they will send you an advertisement claiming to offer that wine at a deep discount. You will happily buy it only to receive a ‘comparable’ cheap wine that you can buy at your local grocery. You’ll feel like you just got scammed!

Why
Been using the app since 2014. The UI has gotten worse year after year, with it being harder and harder for me to find what I need. With the last update I can no longer see a list of my separate ratings with a click of a button. It’s openable under a different general ratings button which includes all my scans. It’s so weird, why bury functionality?
Every Update Makes it Worse and Worse
I’ve been using this app to track my cellar and wines for 6+ years. It used to be enjoyable to use. I loved logging in with each new wine, but now I loathe it. I’ve found myself leaving the app for chatgpt and my native notes app. Why update their UI, wasting time and money on a new design that enrages long time users? I know not alone.

All of a sudden my monthly for premium is not good. And I can’t sign in to figure it out.

For a long time, Vivino was going in the right direction, and I even got used to paying for the premium features. But now the updates keep bouncing formats ba k and forth - better, worse, even worse - glitchy - no keyboard to rate, can’t add a place or a price! Stop it already!!!!

You could do so much better
Good wine ratings and details. Lacking leverage of friends recommendations and other social amplifiers. Doesn’t really tell me what my taste profiles are. Very wine focused, not very user focused.
The lack of sorting features, a major weakness of the app
The app lacks any sorting feature, hence it is too cumbersome and time consuming to find wines that may fall in a preferred range of price or ratings.
Basically it is unusable for that. I limit the use of the app to finding the ratings of the wines I see at the stores I visit.
I have not subscribed to buying wines through the app exclusively for that lack of feature.
It would be too time consuming otherwise and while the suggestions provided by the app are ok, they are not sufficient, for me, to choose what I may prefer.

Extremely difficult to get help
I bought a dozen bottles of Caymus. I selected the yellow labeled bottle (usually $80-$90/bottle retail) that showed $37 if 12 bought. I knew that was almost too good to be true & that's what our ended up being. 12 bottles of the brown label Caymus ($50-$55 retail) showed up. It was an absolute bait & switch. Never did it reflect the brown labeled bottle during my purchase, but street using the chat to get support, they changed/updated the app so if you clicked on the yellow label to purchase, it showed a split screen with the brown labeled bottle.
Their proposed solution was for me to ship all 12 bottles back for a refund - and I guarantee you that would not have included my expense to ship them back. I no longer trust this site to order wine or to resolve a fraudulent situation in a satisfactory manner.
Lastly, the app is not intuitive and won't easily allow me to cancel my $4.99/mo membership. The support is chat only and are no longer supporting voice Support - so support is horrible.

Rarely works
It rarely works it often give an error that it cannot connect to the server or does not work at the moment
No longer showing price
I loved the app, would give five stars in the past. But the experience of recent use is bad. It stops showing price of the wine. I don’t know if I have to pay to see it, but I won’t try to figure it out. Uninstall is the easy option.
Cannot cancel subscription
While I have always liked Vivino to purchase wine as I thought pricing was transparent, I must say this is no longer the case. I signed up for the free shipping subscription which has a monthly fee. Turns out there is nowhere on the app where I can cancel the subscription. I am now in some bureaucratic process where they have opened a case file on my request and someone will get back to me. BTW - the app allows you to sign up for the subscription. There is also no place in the profile that it shows whether you are subscribed to anything and no place to cancel either
Stagnant, past peak
Vivino was fun and useful years ago. It has not improved and is no longer impressive. More reliable label recognition and better backend databases available elsewhere
Good app but now buggy
Used to be super reliable but it crashes when you try to add a cellar note and it consistently doesn't have prices for the wine. Hope this can get fixed

With the last update, the main feature of the app: rating wines, is not buried under 3 différent menus. What is that?
