I’ve been a user for over a decade. Have 100+ bottles in the cellar and almost 2k reviews. When Vivino first introduced a paid version a few years ago it hid useful and formerly free features behind a paywall. Today I just discovered that I have been blocked from adding any new bottles to my cellar without becoming a premium subscriber. This is extortion. I placed my trust in this app and this company to keep my data safe and accessible for over a decade, and then they effectively block me from managing my cellar in the app. For shame, Vivino. You have let greed spoil what was once a great app, and are harming your longest standing users. Truly disappointing. I will have to look for alternatives unless this cap on cellar size is removed (or for heavens sake, set it higher than a measly 20 bottles… your most engaged users will all have more than 20 bottles in the cellar and the cellar feature keeps them coming back to your app regularly which is a flywheel that drives engagement and product metrics for you… this isn’t just breaking user trust, it’s a poor product and business decision to boot).
Not worth it, paywall
They ruined this app with the premium features. They now hide everything behind a paywall so the app is useless. Time to find a better app.
Big change makes this app not worth it
Used to love this app, but now that the cellar feature caps out at 20 bottles it’s unusable for me. Very disappointing.
World and regional rankings are GONE!!
Why would you get rid of this feature!?! It was undeniably the most reliable thing this app offered! A wine ranked 1 in the world and 1 in the region was ALWAYS an excellent wine. Terrible idea to get rid of this! Plus why do you not show the grapes for each wine? This new app lost its main appeal it had for me!

Do not get this app!!! Things have changed for the worse.
Now Vivino shows you the price per case for your pick. If you only want 3 or 4 bottles the price is considerably higher.

New Rules suck
I had a membership and midway they changed the Premium Membership from no minimum purchase to $100 minimum for free shipping. I don’t even think that’s legal to change that midway through.
Very disappointed and frustrated customer. I cancelled my membership and moved to wine.com. You should too. Vivino isn’t the same anymore. Go elsewhere!

Disappointing update
I have used this app for many years and was very disappointed to see that the most recent update removes the ranking of wines in the world. I found this incredibly helpful in restaurants for working out which wine I would select from a wine list when I was unfamiliar with the wines on offer. Is there a reason why this was removed? If not, please bring it back or I will have to cancel my premium membership.
App not what it used to be
I used to love this app. But it has definitely gone down hill in recent years. I have over 1000 ratings but now when I add a wine it will tell me I haven’t had this region or this grape when in fact I’ve had dozens and in some cases hundreds. I’m considering deleting this app and seeing what else might be out there.
Most of the time updates are welcome...NOT with Vivino!
I'm using the app since the beginning and the last updates ruined an almost perfect app! Especially the tracking of my own ratings is impossible now as I can't find previous reviews of the same wine and vintage. MAKE VIVINO GREAT AGAIN!

i succinctly remember when this app was used by like 20 of us, i remember how simple and functional this app was. i succinctly remember this app was primarily to identify wines and to create your own digital cellar. this app was my rock, i learned so much about wine as an amateur. at some point this year maybe in March? the app updated to include ai and therein led the downfall. sometimes i open the app and it’s still the version before ai, i’m able to see the temperature recommendation window for all wines, other times it’s this ai filled app that’s moved everything elsewhere and is so insistent on asking for your location so you can find wine near you. why?? my interest in this app was never to buy wine, yet that’s all being pushed! you can even forget about wanting to learn more about tannins and grapes because the best of that info is now hidden being a paywall. another thing! this app was flawless and free, i truly didn’t mind the ads because i knew i was getting a good deal. now that you guys have introduced a paid version of the app, all of the info that was on the app, for years (for free!) is hidden. this is sooo frustrating to take an app that worked so well and turn into another app ruined by ai. honestly vivino owners can you well and truly tell me that ai has improved the experience? because from the convos i’m having with wine friends and the reviews i’ve seen on here, it’s very clear i’m not the only one frustrated. ai has no place in a wine app and it’s pure laziness to introduce it. i miss what vivino once was, i place where i could always get a recommended temperature window of all the wines i scored, now no one knows if it exists anymore :(.
Stupid App
I constantly get notifications regarding wine I made for be interested in, but when I click the notification I am taken to the general home page and have to search for the wine that was advertised. This morning I was unable to find it even with a general search. I’m deleting the app because it is too annoying.
Vivino ruined the app on my iPhone
The last update took away the ability to search friends reviews & took away the ability fine tune the wine scan of the label gets it wrong. I can no longer see the reviews of other vintages I wrote previously without a less specific search of my wines. I’ve used the app for 7 years & have relied on it. I’m going to have to consider deleting it if they don’t fix it. I’m a top 100 user…
Ai slop now
I’d been using Vivino for years and it has been one increasingly more of a wine purchase app than one to track your wines. I hadn’t used it in a while and when I tried to open it to find a bottle I’d enjoyed in the past it had wiped my entire wine history. I had to go through so many popup screens asking me to register and active their ai feature none of which I want. I just want to see the wines I’ve enjoyed in the past but it’s clearly not for that anymore so I’m deleting the app.

I used to love this app, gave me lots of useful information and was very user-friendly, now it just feels like it’s barely giving me anything and the taste characteristics look like a child’s button you could drag and drop to the side. Very lackluster, non-exquisite. Not something I would pay for for sure.
Overall, the app has completely lost my trust.
Disappointed with the app. I scanned the same bottle of wine with two different phones and got a rating of 4.1 on one and 3.3 on the other. How is that possible?
The country and region were identical on both phones. I also noticed that the reviews differ slightly even though they use the same words - it feels like they were written by AI or are fake.

There are no addresses to the wineries in the app. This is very useless.

App sucks
Downloaded the app tried to login with multiple different ways Facebook, Apple Google. None of them aren't really login or subscribe friendly at all zero friendliness on that end. Literally couldn't even use the app because I was just stuck on the sign in or becoming a user login page.
1 star for the update and redesign.
Cannot find things easier. Still have extra steps. Don’t like the layout of my wines. Make it more condensed. The was good before. The cellar is hidden. The new design is bad and not user friendly sly.

Good app, but paid Support is terrible
I have being a subscriber for years and bought many thousands of $s worth of wine through them. I recently started running into issues ordering wine from a major winery. First their automated chat support is completely inadequate. Even hooking up a simple LLM model to their chatbot would be a major improvement over what they had today. Second, their human support is just as inadequate. Taking days to respond on each turn of the message. After not having my issue progress in months, I cut my losses and stopped my subscription. I now use the app to lookup wine ratings - but no more buying or subscribing to Vivino Premium without them overhauling their Support.

Great to have a wine enthusiast app. Unfortunately this is a very poorly executed one. Wine classification, region and style identification , filtering, basically all functionalities are subpar. It is not on a level to justify a premium membership. And when are they going to fix the bugs? Too many to list, but for starters, when you chose to display your wines from a particular grape of region, why do you get everything that you scanned? Who and how gives app choice awards?
Something changed - not in a good way
Logged in as I always do, and years of reviews and cellar entries are no where to be fount. Instead the app asks an unending number of questions about tastes - clearly trying to sell me wines. Was useful. But unless it reverts to what they had, I will part ways and don’t recommend others jump on board.

Expect to be spammed
The app requires you to give them your email address and create an account. I can’t comment on the features of this app as I never got past the sign in screen. I don’t want to receive a bunch of spam emails trying to sell me wine.
The app is getting progressively worse
In theory a wonderful app, but every upgrade makes it less useful. You can no longer even save your own review or rating. There’s no way to get back into your own review either - clicking back onto “review” brings up a blank screen. The only thing that saves is your location and your personal note, if you can figure out how to add those any more. This used to be my favorite app, but it’s not functional anymore.
Cumbersome
Switched to Vivino after Delectable stopped working. It takes forever to find and add each wine review. In my town, the four independent wine shops I go to aren’t listed in their lookup even though they’re legitimate businesses present on Google Maps and Apple Maps. After entering reviews, it takes forever to get back to a home page. The back button has to be hit twenty times to navigate anywhere. Awful app.
New premium service loses its appeal
Helpful to see what others think. But the upgrade lost a key feature - a quick look at professional ratings for wines within an appellation

What happened to ability to add a wine? Every time you you make a change I swear it gets worse.
Not as good as it used to be.
I was one of the early users of Vivino. The app has deleted a decade of my history and over 300 wines 😤🤷🏻♂️so much effort to support them, and this happens. I used to get invited to local tastings as well but that has also stopped
You could do so much better
Good wine ratings and details. Lacking leverage of friends recommendations and other social amplifiers. Doesn’t really tell me what my taste profiles are. Very wine focused, not very user focused.
The lack of sorting features, a major weakness of the app
The app lacks any sorting feature, hence it is too cumbersome and time consuming to find wines that may fall in a preferred range of price or ratings.
Basically it is unusable for that. I limit the use of the app to finding the ratings of the wines I see at the stores I visit.
I have not subscribed to buying wines through the app exclusively for that lack of feature.
