In just two weeks of testing Voicenotes, I've lost approximately three hours of very important recordings.
First incident (March 11, iPhone): I was recording a note that reached 54 minutes when I paused it. I checked back twice over the next 25 minutes and the paused recording was still there both times. When I went to resume it the third time (roughly 30mins after pausing), it had vanished completely. The company acknowledged this as an "edge case."
Second incident (March 25, Mac laptop): I recorded a critical 2-hour meeting on my Mac laptop. The laptop remained on and active throughout. When the meeting ended, I pressed stop and clicked the arrow key in the Mac app (that takes you the dashboard/site). The recording disappeared and I couldn't find it anywhere.
Apple Watch reliability issues: Recording on the Apple Watch never worked consistently. Recordings would stop abruptly and disappear into the ether. I didn't even report this because I gave up on that feature rather quickly.
If one user can encounter two "edge cases" in about two weeks, this app is not for me. I can't trust an app that loses important content, especially when those conversations can't be recreated. Three hours of critical recordings is too much to lose.
To potential users: If you're recording important content you can't afford to lose, I'd recommend testing thoroughly with non-critical recordings first, or considering more established alternatives.
To the developer: The core functionality needs to be rock solid before adding features. Focus on ensuring recordings are reliably saved across all platforms.

Other apps are FAR superior
I’ve used this app several times all it does is record - it just spins as if I’m supposed to get something more. I’ve used Ottr and found it FAR superior. And this was recommend by a trusted course. Very disappointed.
Unreliable and hard to use
I really wanted to like this app, but it ended up being frustrating and unreliable.
First, organizing notes is a mess. There’s no clear or effective way to categorize recordings, separate meetings, or keep projects distinct. If you record frequently, everything quickly turns into an unmanageable pile.
The meeting summary and output features sound great in theory, but they don’t consistently work. I’ve had recordings sit there indefinitely without generating a summary. In one case, I had to wait until the next day and try again - and because of that delay, I ended up paying for an extra week of the subscription just to access notes that should have been available earlier.
Exporting is another major pain point. There’s no bulk export option, so you have to download files one by one. On top of that, the file formats are inconsistent - some export as MP3, others as M4A - which creates extra work if you need them in a uniform format.
Transcription is also unreliable. The app claims to auto-generate transcripts, but sometimes timestamps are included and sometimes they aren’t. For meeting notes and professional use, timestamps are pretty standard and often necessary, so this inconsistency makes the transcripts less useful.
Overall, the app has promising ideas but poor execution. Between the organizational issues, unreliable summaries, inconsistent exports, and unpredictable transcripts, it just wasn’t worth the subscription. I canceled.

On my first Apple Watch it failed right away
I just installed it and tried it then it failed the very first time I tried to record from my watch. This is hard to buy if it can’t work. Sad because it seems perfect for me with all the other features

Impossible to stop charges.
The app works fine, but I’ve been trying to cancel paid subscription for a few weeks. Contacted support several times. No success. They keep charging me weekly. Terrible service.

This is not it
Well this is garbage. I made my first voice note recapping an earlier meeting today. After viewing meeting summary it added all kinds of hashtags and asterisks behind odd places and bullet points. I looked at the “Welcome to Voicenotes” sample they had posted and the same odd hashtags. What’s the point of this app if you have to clean up behind it.
Refund impossible
Tried to request a refund and there’s no way to do it. It suggested going through my settings and reporting a problem but I’m just “ineligible” and there’s no way to talk to anyone. I was charged $89.99 for an app I tried and couldn’t use.

I don’t know what people actually paying for that app cause built in Apple voice recorder, covering all the needs what I have.
Losing Recordings
Between “error in transcribing” and disappearing/nonexistent notes, I’m reminded why I loathe ANNUAL subs in particular. Works well enough to pull your dough, but ongoing function? Roll the dice. Just turned off auto renew. This is not a dev I’ll ever trust again.

This app promises so much…a few things to be aware of:
The rendering time of meting summaries is awful.
The content is not good. I started a healthcare project meeting and it came back with an analysis of heavy equipment.
ChatGPT and others tested are better and more comprehensive with summaries, takes seconds.

Awful Scam
I cancelled this weekly subscription early October and I am somehow still getting charged now early November. I was already angry that I let this subscription lapse for a month longer than it should have. I don’t know how this is legal but I’m not happy.
Insane WEEKLY payment.
$8.99 a week or $99.99 a year is ridiculous. You won’t grow like that when ChatGPT is $19.99 a month.

Unlimited?
Funny how after I paid for the annual subscription I got notified that I hit my meeting limit for the day today. This is really confusing when the first line of their marketing is UNLIMITED MEETINGS! Maybe have the fine print a little more accessible if you’re not going to live up to your marketing. And no, I’m not saying I hit the limit on a meeting. I’m saying I can’t record anything else for the day.
Bad first experience. Please help
Was really excited to try this app after researching AI note takers, but never even got the chance. Registered for the free trial, but every time I tried to record a note, it immediately brought me back to the page to pay for a subscription. Tried exiting out of the app, tried signing out then signing back in, and eventually gave up. If anyone on the team can help with fixing it so I can access a trial that would be great!

Major design flaw

App does not automatically continue recording after it stops and it stops recording far more than every 60 minutes. You have to monitor it which renders it useless.

Lost my recorded meeting
I will try this app again tomorrow for another meeting. Unfortunately, I did not realize (PLEASE add this info to the record screen) until after my meeting was lost, that you need to leave the app open on your screen for a few minutes after the meeting ends. Not realizing, I opened up a second APP after my meeting had ended and it appears my recording disappeared. I had to search Voice Notes help through ITunes to figure this out. I will update my review in a week or so.
Terrible do not use
I downloaded and signed up for. Decided it didn’t have the features that I needed and went in and canceled my subscription immediately. Now now I am getting daily charges of multiple times a day of them trying to run my card for the full year sub subscription. Today 9 12 25 alone. It was trying to run a charge for $124 in my App Store at least 8 times . I’ve contacted both Apple voice notes and neither can help me all they said is I have to pay that amount and then ask for a refund. Why do I have to pay for a subscription? I immediately canceled.? I am livid. Do not use this product. They don’t even have actual people for you to speak to. The features on the app is not what I was looking for personally. I don’t know if it’s a good product or not because now I am blinded by the fact that they’re ruining my experience when I canceled and now I can’t use my App Store till I pay what charges they are sending over . 👎👎👎 I have no resolution at this time except to say eff you .

I’ve been on a mission for two weeks to cancel my subscription and have found it nearly impossible. I’ve gone through the app, which says your subscription is through the website, and you must go to the website. When I go there, the buttons don’t do anything; you see a circle within the button, and then nothing. I’ve been stuck paying for a subscription I no longer want. I found three different support emails for this company, and as of this date, no one has replied. It’s obscene that I now have to go through my bank to stop payment.
No iOS calendar integration
Most of my notes relate to meetings and appointments. This app will only integrate with Google or Microsoft calendars. I use the native calendar app on my Apple devices. This is a big disappointment. I’ll watch for future seamless integration.
Very disappointed
I loved this app at first. I tried multiple AI note apps for their free trials and actually paid the annual price for this one. Since doing that it takes more than an hour to get a meeting summary all of a sudden. And it’s now been 3 hours since my last meeting that is still processing. Unfortunately I can’t cancel since I paid for a full YEAR. But I will definitely not be renewing.
Not good for long calls
For a 15-20 minute call this app isn’t bad . However it doesn’t generate enough data and feedback when going on a call for 25+ minutes. For what this app charges a week it should be much better at providing recaps
Decent App
Decent app that records well and provide a fair summary of my meetings. Unfortunately after paying for the year long subscription and using for about a week now I’ve hit a daily time limit, and I’m no longer to record additional meetings. Not very conducive for my work and will probably be looking to utilize a different app.
NOT better than chatGPT
Saw ads on fb & instagram claiming this AI was better than chatGPT. It’s is SOOOO not better. What it has is a programmed vocabulary that makes it sound more human but that’s it. It has no real info doesn’t seem to scrape any real data. And everything it replies sounds scripted. If I wanted a fake scripted reply I’d call a customer service agent.

The watch app doesn’t work
The watch app does not work. It keeps telling me to log into the mobile app and hit refresh. When you do that, nothing happens to watch out would be very handy to be able to use. I wish the developer would fix this

Everything else is good the AI and the auto titles but you can only record one minute which is like what’s the point so I had to uninstall this
