The pet design and skills are well made but that’s about it. It’s not much of a “game”. After about stage 150 there isn’t much to do except waiting for idle reward to upgrade pets. There is nothing you can do to get the key resource to upgrade the pets except idling.

It sucks, could be good but too expensive and boring if you don’t want to spend hundreds of dollars.

Everything is unreasonably expensive and its nearly impossible to get any legendary voidpets without spending money on astral eggs which only guarantee epic plus and its still hard to get legendaries from them which makes 15 dollars per egg completely not worth it but at the same time its kind of your only choice

They don’t give you enough of anything so you get stuck for a week or two while you slowly get resources just to immediately get stuck after another ten levels.

Seriously what’s the point of cringe dialogue every 2 floors? This is an auto-progression auto-battler except that it constantly interrupts your auto mode for conversation with characters that literally hold no value other than some dumb storyline that doesn’t matter at all.
Some types of games simply don’t and shouldn’t have lore, man. Especially when it’s written by a disneychud. “Erm that just happened” “can we talk about that” etc

If you look at the subreddit for this game you can see how obviously rigged this game is. There’s no luck consistency from account to account and legitimately unless you’re spending money on this app you will never get any of the things you grind for. The devs overprice everything to the point that it’s egregiously pay to win, and even if you check in every single day for the better part of a year you’ll never get anything you farm for. Not worth the effort and definitely not worth the money. I think if playing the game actually rewarded you for playing the game, it could be really fun. Sucks that the dev team seems to care more about skibidi toilet jokes and awful “dialogue” than actually making a game that the community enjoys.

I was a member of the official Voidpet dungeon community for a decent amount of time (215 days exactly) but after the 1 year anniversary event, making multiple comments and suggestions about their game with ways to improve it and ways to make it more F2P friendly, and even receiving an unfair ban from their community server after writing “I could write a review” in their suggestions channel as a reply to another player about the state of their game, I can confirm that the developers do not care about their players no matter how hard you pretend they do. The actions the developers have and still take to silence and ban their community is astounding to say the least; especially when considering the cost of their in game items such as gems, eggs, dream reapers, and Evolution stones. Their most expensive Gem pack is $100, Dream reapers are $31, Eggs are $75, stones are $75+ and the “deals” are $70 USD. And these are just the shop prices! To make matters worse, the pity cost for Legendaries is a whopping $900 for 300 consecutive pulls on both Astral and Mystery eggs. For a game that’s supposed to be advertised as “Mental Health Meets Pokémon” in reality it meets the expectation of “Insane prices and slow progress meets unfair bans & Ragebait” Why? Simple, If you ask your bank for a refund; your game account gets banned. Ask the developers a question about their potential use of AI for content creation like songs or Voidpet designs, the channel you just commented in is now archived, even if thousands of players just like you; begged for the channel to exist in the official server over the course of several months. Mention Geddar (one of the devs in their official server) as Cheddar as nothing more than a lighthearted joke? Congrats, you’re also banned from the server! Question the devs as a moderator member and a part of their staff? Your moderator status is automatically revoked. Ask the developers about their font known as Delulu for a game involving mental health awareness? Your name gets doxxed by a developer in a public server announcement. This incident has not only happened once but twice and one of the victims was a minor when the doxxing occurred. Not a good look for your company if you asked me. Now at the beginning of my review, I mentioned the 1 year anniversary event…. For context, players, including myself at the time were given something known as vivid dust, which is an in game currency used to upgrade your legendaries and even acquire; A higher form which is available on three SSS ranked pets: Lust, Sloth and Greed. The cost of the Higher form was raised from 8,000 vivid dust to 16,000K and the odds of you rolling for the Higher Forms was cut in half on all three tiers of mushrooms, with ghost mushrooms going from less than one percent to 0% chance of a Higher Form, Cosmic Truffles odds going from 0.2% down to 0.1%, and Dream Reapers from 1% chance down to a 0.5% of getting the Higher Form. The players who spoke up about the change…. Were also banned from the server and half of their top spenders of the game quit the game, as playing wasn’t fun anymore and took a huge amount of time to grind for the Higher Form to begin with. Not to mention after the 1 year anniversary, another nerf was given to the game’s SSS ranked mascot; Higher Form Greed because it’s 2nd ability was doing five stacks of damage instead of it’s two. The devs saw this as a bug, and nerfed it. The issue? Players received an announcement prior to the patch promising that no more nerfs or reworks would be added to items and pets, and then the devs decided to nerf Greed (albeit by a little bit) but this still caused a huge uproar because players spent a ton of money on greed for its Higher Form but essentially it’s broken ability. This also resulted in a few bans as well. So for a game that promises itself to be a mental health support program, it’s honestly a huge scam and not worth anyone’s time or money.

Game is super fun at first, but once you reach 6th tier it is sooooooo slow you have to wait weeks before you can catch your pets up and get them strong enough to move up in floors. Money is a lot for very little you get out of it. Honestly, wish you could earn more things quicker or other ways besides waiting.

Bad really just terrible game feel like to really get anywhere you have to spend money to pull anything I’m so sick of games like this literally play anything else unless you just want to throw away your money

I started around launch. I been stuck for idk months maybe on floor 140ish. Finally best a floor or two yesterday. I dont log in daily for a bit now. Its hard to log in just to claim a daily bonus n be like well im still stuck. My voids r stuck at 40 and thus i cant progress without spending cash it seems . I was so excited to play it but it became a joke of ur stuck unless unwallet flex within 2 weeks

The chances to get anything other than a base rarity pet out of eggs is abysmal

Fun, but limited. If you’re playing for free, progression is *extremely* slow. Had to wait 4 days on chest items to make it to the next tier of levels. Will need to do the same for the next as well. Paywall prices for battle passes and quests seen very high - same with egg purchases for real money. Would I spend a couple bucks here and there? Sure. But I’m not dropping $15 per purchase. Four of those, and I’d have spent enough for a physical Switch2 game.

I recommend making the levels a lot easier to beat and not have them feeling like the only way to beat them is by buying evolution stones. Some of these levels are nearly impossible to beat for people who don’t wanna pay-to-win. It’s not fun at that point. That being said, the prices of the in game store should definitely be cheaper. Also make the chances of getting better rarities from the eggs higher. Out of all the games I’ve played with a system similar to this games egg system, this one is by far one of the worst. Like what do you mean there’s a 0.5 percent chance of a legendary!? This is a good game, but there are somethings that need to be improved.

Levels are super easy but then a random level hits this huge difficulty spike

Evolution stones should not be only obtainable through chests and daily gifts. It turns it into a waiting game, where I have to wait days at a time before I can battle. The only other way to obtain evolution stones is through buying them from the overpriced shop, turning the game into a pay to win as well. it’s fun, when it’s playable, but having to wait over and over has made me loose interest.

The game is okay until you reach level 300 or so and realize you still haven’t gotten a water attack unit, and there’s no way to reliably acquire one. So then in a moment of weakness you look at the in game mtx store and get shocked back to reality with prices that would’ve made characters in the Bible faint on the spot and die. $15 for 4 eggs with basically a 0% chance of something useful. Hilarious
