Bad airline and bad application
Seats are as hard as a rock with no leg room, need to pay more for extra leg room and even those are uncomfortable and not much difference in leg room. When you try to change your flight date through the app it gives you an error code at the time of payment and when you call they charge you double to what you originally paid. Since it’s the only airline with direct flights from Fresno to Leon they take advantage of it. Definitely not traveling with them anymore. Prefer driving or taking the bus to another airport to travel in a different airline. VOLARIS SUCKS!!!!!!!!

Entonces ya no quise esos servicios adicionales e intete quitarlos del carrito de compras pero la app y en general Volaris me está obligando a pagar todo el monto de esos servicios para poder completar el checkin a pesar de que ya no los necesito por qué ya no tengo a mi perro conmigo. Es como si Amazon te obligará a comprar lo que agregas al carrito de compras. Es un robo a mano armada
camera needed to check in
The ONLY way to check in for this airline is through the app and you MUST have a camera on your phone. Makes it super different for people to check in. The camera setting SHOULDNT be the only way to check in and having too download that app shouldn’t be the ONLY way to check in as well. The should make it an option to check in through website desktop.

Yo page mi maleta en el app y en el momento de ir a imprimir el boleto me dijeron que no aparecía nada tuve que pagar una maleta adicional para que usted su app si en el sistematizara del aeropuerto no apareció y la señora que me atendió también nada amable ni porque le dije que si fue pagado.. Estafaron a una pobre señora en sus 90 años

This app is awful you cant do a check in without scanning, so if the passport scanning fails there is no option for manual input. The volaris customer service already sucks, and the app.. get it together people..

Option to add passport manually taken away
This is awful. I am trying to check in a family member abroad, but only option is to scan the passport which I don’t physically have. Trying to check in online the only available option given is to check in via the app. So I am back where I started. Please fix this and place more thought on allowing flexibility in your check in process to accommodate similar situations in your next rollout.

App does not let me type passport number it only wants to scan. I cannot check in on the web it is forcing me to download this useless app. I am tired of app.

This is the worst airline app I’ve ever used. It does not allow me to check in. It just says that it could not connect to the server.
Passport Scan Error
Currently I am unable to check in. When scanning the passport it says that there is an error with the expiration date, however there is not way of manually putting any information in. This bug needs to get fixed!

App does not work
I have been trying to use the app to book my flights for convenience and do not allowed me to finished the payment transactions. I have to make reservations directly on the website all the time. Now, the website does not allow me to check in, ONLY on the app WHICH IS CRASHING OVER AND OVER again, unable to get my Boarding passes, redirects me to WhatsApp with Volaris and is useless since is AI.

CANT EVER CHECK IN
I bought the annual pass for Volaris, and each time I have to check into the app because I fly internationally it always can’t connect to the server and makes me restart the whole process again, I tried with various devices and I still have trouble to check in, and I can’t check in online because I always fly internationally. SUCH A HEADACHE !!!!!

I updated the app and now I can’t even see my seat number
You cannot enter data manually
You DO NOT have the option to enter your document data manually. In order to complete the check in, you have to give access to your camera, otherwise you can’t do it. I have booked a flight for a friendo of mine and I cannot proceed with the check in until I see him. This is absolutely ridiculous.

Unfunctional App
Every time you try to download your tickets or seats. This app gives you error messages. It’s worthless, I don’t even know why they make an app that doesn’t function at all.
Terrible
This app is a complete dumpster fire. It’s always freezing and constant updates only make it worse. It will not allow me to check in and it keeps freezing on the seat selection tab. The app cannot register more than one tsa precheck number if you’re traveling as a pair so good luck with that. This company is cheap but they should at least invest a little more money on their app development and website Jesus Christ.
Perm Mex Res 🚫 Registering
I have permanent residency but I haven’t been able to check in using the app for quite some time. Therefore I have to check-in EVERY TIME I fly which is often. I’ve tried reaching someone to help me but I’ve yet to find anyone willing or able to address the situation. Can someone PLEASE respond to my request for assistance. I shouldn’t have to stand in line every time - my documents are in order and valid.

Al descargar la nueva versión e intentar abrirla aparece un mensaje que dice que no puede descargarse en este dispositivo, por razones de seguridad. Es un iPhone 16 Pro con la versión más reciente del iOS que no tiene problemas, excepto con Volaris. Funcionaba muy bien la versión anterior.

Avoid this airline at all costs. They change your itinerary whenever they want, but the moment you try to make a change-even after paying extra for a “fully refundable” ticket-they penalize you.
I tried to change my flight today, but the new options had outrageous prices and ridiculous layovers. So I decided to request the full refund I specifically paid for. Turns out, because I had previously rescheduled my flight (due to their changes), they now refuse to honor the refund. So my only options are to sit through a 7-hour layover or book with another airline and lose my money entirely.
For context, I have permanent nerve damage in both legs, so flying is already painful. Now I’m stuck dealing with an extended layover on top of that.
To make matters worse, they changed my itinerary more than once. My original layover was a little over 3 hours, which they shortened to about 2.5 hours. I rescheduled because of that-and then they changed it again. And here’s the kicker: if you miss your connecting flight and your layover is under 3 hours, you’re not entitled to anything.
Anyone who has flown through Guadalajara knows how chaotic it is-you have to collect your bags, recheck them, go through immigration, and then security again. Missing a connection there is a very real possibility, and they take zero responsibility.
On top of all of this, the only way I was able to reach customer service was through WhatsApp
I’ll never give this airline another cent. I’d rather pay a little more for a reputable airline than deal with this kind of shady, unreliable service.

Payment Details - First/last name boxes not working
I’m trying to add a carry on bag to my flight. On payment details, I cannot enter my first name or last name. Text input is not working for these fields. Very frustrating

Forces you to check in through the app
Unlike every other airline in the world they don’t let you just check in online, so I had to download the app since the only other option was a WhatsApp that didn’t work. All to check in my elderly mother who cannot use this technology. I don’t need to want one more app and the fact they force you to have it is very annoying!

Recientemente hicieron un cambio y no es posible obtener pase de abordar en web en computadora o web móvil, es indispensable hacerlo en la app y NO SIRVE!
Hay un bug: la app se queda en un loop, no marca error ni crashea, pero no avanza y se puede quedar 10 minutos o más. Intenté en 3 celulares diferentes y el error sale igual. Los canales de soporte son lamentables, no contemplan casos no controlados y es prácticamente imposible recibir ayuda. Bot virtual Vane no entrenada, agentes humanos peor (después de encontrar cómo contactarlos, lo cual no es sencillo). Demasiado frustrante!!

Que mal actualización es muy lenta y es muy difícil hacer check in sin que te saque de la aplicación o que solamente no continúa y hay que hacerlo durante varias veces para hacer un solo check in, muy mal aplicación

The updated app worked for about a week. When attempting to check in which is ONLY allowed through this app, the process stops working at the 3rd prompt.
Doesn’t work
Open app and an immediately there is error cant load Scammy service force you to download there app to check in only and now that doesn’t work. They want you to pay a fee at the kiosk don’t bother with this airline may seem cheap but with everything you don’t get is just to get you to pay more.

This app sucks. When you check in, there are times when the app doesn’t give you your boarding pass so you have to wait in line at the airport to get it. Other times, the app says it literally cannot open for “safety reasons” and you can’t check-in. You can’t even check-in on the website because it redirects you to their glitchy app. Is an app that actually works too much to ask for? (Especially when they give you no other option for check-in)

La app logra algo que pocas piezas de software consiguen: convertir una tarea trivial como hacer check-in en un ejercicio filosófico sobre la naturaleza de los loops infinitos.
El check-in nunca funciona. Intentar pagar por servicios extra es aún más entretenido: los campos de facturación existen, pero como concepto abstracto, porque introducir datos en ellos es aparentemente una feature planificada para una futura versión (tal vez Volaris 3.0)
Cuando finalmente intentas introducir tus identificaciones para completar el check-in, la aplicación entra en un loop infinito tan elegante que sospecho que alguien decidió implementar recursión siendo el caso base el pago por un asiento. La pantalla se queda congelada contemplando el vacío, igual que yo después de intentar usar este bodrio binario.
Honestamente, he visto prototipos hechos a las 3 am durante un hackathon con pizza fría y sueño acumulado que tenían un pipeline de desarrollo, testing y QA más sólido que esto.
Recomendaría revisar su proceso de desarrollo, sus pruebas automatizadas, su QA… y posiblemente el concepto mismo de “software funcional”; si el equipo es de vibe coders, por favor utilicen TDD.

Bad app
One of the worst apps I've ever had. I can't use it on my phone, and it's a high-end device. Previously, it wouldn't let me do anything at all when I wanted to search for or buy a ticket. Definitely one of the worst apps.
