I had been using wakie for months and had a 5 star rating, always reported when I saw things that violated behavior. I would sometimes change my birthday in the app in an attempt to not be matched with people 20-30 years older than me, and that had been fine for months until last week it wasn’t and it permanently banned me. I talked to the wakie support, told them this was a mistake, and was willing to provide legal documentation verifying my age. They wouldn’t do anything!! I talked to some girl named “Anna” for Wakie support, and she didn’t help at all and basically just told me to move on cause she wouldn’t do anything. So sad that they’ll let perverts on this app but not protect the good people who actually use it.

90% of what you see on here is sexual, 50% of that is involving minors or even worse, adults asking specifically for minors. The mods however are completey okay with this and will disable your ability to file reports if you call them out on this.

BEWARE there are catfishes on this app. There are men pretending to act like there’s someone that they’re not. I will never be using this app again. This app is absolutely horrible and it’s disgusting full of weird mentally unstable people this app made me feel unsafe and I hope that you guys take serious comfort for this and protect your community because this is not ok.

It's a joke app they ban you for no reason
I got banned for no reason I got banned twice in the stand two weeks for not doing anything. Y’all are strict as heck. I hate this app. I hate whoever made it because I did nothing to deserve being banned permanently or even temporarily y’all need to fix this app.

It’s hard to enjoy this app because of the amount of scammers that message me everyday. Every time I show my card to let people know I’m available for a call, floods of bots and Nigerian scammers are contacting me. Yet Wakie doesn’t do anything about this. Also there should be a setting to where You should select the age group that you want. And hide your profile to the age group you don’t want contacting you. Too many minors contacting me and flirting as well. Also Whenever I try to call someone directly, it doesn’t work. this app needs a lot of work.

No Monitoring of religious extremism
I have been on this app for a while now and what I have seen is completely unacceptable. There are a bunch of users who post hate mongering topics which include religious hate , national hate etc and they are openly promoted and no action are taken against them. In fact people who stand against them are banned. Look into this before this becomes a big deal

You could definitely use the app to talk about deep topics and I have come across people who use it for that reason. It’s inevitable that there would be people only attracted to the app for NSFW activity but it has taken over about 80% of the app that it is almost unusable. The features are great and would be fun for actually conversations but the mass amount of NSFW people ruin its potential.

I signed up last year, first, it seemed really cool until their moderators started to report people for silly reasons!! Their moderators are biased, if you are a female, and know any of their desperate-for-women moderators, you got all you want! Users are being banned because some female told their moderators that she doesn’t like you and the next thing you see is a warning from Wakie (lucky if you get one though) or immediate ban LOL I had a subscription and few people that I know and we all decided to end it since this chat is basically: who you know!! Not to mention the heavy amount of hatred towards minorities and religions, yet Wakie does nothing. Also, there are teenagers on this app, like 11 years old kids chatting!! Wakie is a great place for pedophiles who hunt online and I witnesses that in some pf their clubs however, you cannot report clubs and I am positive even if you report clubs, Wakie won’t do nothing. The creator of this app just doesn’t understand the burden and the danger that his app can do, the damage to some people that can cause. This app should be banned.
