Predatory monetization! They will constantly try to force you into buying more and more and more. It will never stop! You will never get ahead of “the game!” You will regret playing.

After about three months they slow the server speed and everything becomes very laggy to the point you can’t play the game as intended. Apple knows and doesn’t care. They just pry on new players getting as much money as they can and continue creating new worlds. Redirecting the server speed to the new worlds.

Waste of time
This game used to be fun, actual wars between players, now it is manipulated by the richest players, “they control” game. And war and order does not care as they benefit monetarially from these game abuse, the rules are not the same and you have too spend money to not loose the little progress you can make. They DO NOT answer questions or concerns at ALL!! They just want you to keep spending your money without addressing their scheme. You join an alliance and you are left on you own to defend yourself from people in your own realm, having to buy and keep “buying” WAO defenses.????? Or get “purged”, what’s the point of growing? Unless you spend $$$$ not a good gameplay!!

This app is terrible. They are dishonest. They will not release your data after you spend tens of thousands of dollars on an app and you stop playing because you’ve come to your senses that they’re they’re robbing you blind and I asked for my in game, chat data only from the beginning of the time when I started playing the game to the end and they made it a months long battle. They only gave me half or a quarter of what I’ve asked for they will not give me what I deserve and what I own, and I plan on, pushing this to the furthest extent that I can I will never give up. I have plenty of time on my hands.
Fake ads. Cash intensive.
Foremost, unless you are willing to shell out a few hundred dollars every couple months don’t bother getting involved. Very Pay2Win. Even if you do there are people who spend thousands on every server so you will never stand a chance against the top few.
That being said I have played for 2 years spending only $40 but it involves an incredible amount of time as well. Obviously since I have played so long there is some level of fun and addiction even for non-spenders but I recommend not wasting your time getting involved.
Lastly, I would have given this game a better review. 3 or 4 stars. But I will not support any game who places fake ads involving fake gameplay. Everyone needs to give 1 star to all apps with fake ads

The worst kind of city builder
It’s pretty clear from the front page that this game is so bad that they don’t even want to show you what kind of game it is! Is a hord clearer like bullet.io or is it a CoC style settlement builder. Could it be that the game is a turret shooter that completely ignores the idea of medieval settings for machine guns and helicopters? God only knows that’s for sure! The answer is it’s a city builder like CoC but it’s so bad they can’t let you know that or you won’t download it!!!!
Not a real strategy game
The only strategy to do with this game is spend as much money as you can so you can be on top of everybody elses game. It’s not built for leisure and relaxation.

I actually hated it, I played it for several days, but it is absolutely nothing like the advertisements. Why can’t they give you games that are like the advertisements those games look fun this game sucked.

Only allows in app purchases using w coins. Packs won’t load with a dollar amount so I can make purchases through apple. Extremely frustrating.

The game itself is unrealistic, and stupid. Very expensive and they keep making it a lot more expensive or making it a lot harder to win anything. The game is rigged and the fact that people just shield, attack, shield again is stupid as f . Some players never get attacked because they live under shield 24/7 as long you pay . That is not a strategy game, this is a money grab game

I have been playing war games for a long time. I personally wouldn’t consider WaO a war game. It’s a wallet warrior game. Now don’t get me wrong all war games have wallet warriors. The difference is on other war games it’s requires strategy. A long time ago on this game to beat someone you had to rally. Troops died and wounded were considered kills. It’s the only game I’ve seen where wounded are kills. When the introduced SOS and Slaughter the attackers troops can’t be killed if it’s a solo attack. So an alliance will do speed solos one after another until they zero the castle. No strategy needed, just a bigger castle with higher level troops. Then they wonder why people quit.

Only the bonus game let you actually play a mob game. You have to level up your castle to level up your castle to unlock stuff to level up to level up to level up. There’s way more farms and other things than usual and they have to be leveled up it seems like they also have a cap as unclear and Other than that you can’t set what kind of troops you want raise every single time I clicked on it it would accidentally go back to infantry and so I 1 or none buildings doing what I want and they don’t work. It’s very unusual to see something where you both build to train the same type of unit anyway the presets or have better pictures also, I can’t read it what it says it’s unclear there’s kind of a golden glowing thing and a thin no high contrast behind it and so it’s almost impossible to see what the level ups are or the times have until my troops are done I think that is no way was fun and it was unclear as to when ever ever I was going to get a set of troops for the world and I would have to login almost every single 30 minutes to raise more troops, which seems excessively more than other games specially when they’re the wrong because I wanted Calvary and I couldn’t find the search button at all and then one day it just showed up when they told me to kill a level five troop so I was struggling with finding any wood on the map together, and I felt like I was running out of resources almost immediately in the game sending all my guys gathering for days on and made very little difference

I have spent thousands of dollars on this game and I am still very under powered compared to super spenders that spend $100k or more. This game is an endless money pit and the rich will always have a lot of power over you. A super spender with 400k troops can wipe a moderate spender castle at same level with 8 million plus troops. It is all about how much you spend.

There is no way to be successful in this game unless you spend money. Many people do and then dominate the game. Sure a new realm opens every once in a while and you can start from the beginning again but soon you will be outpaced by spenders. To give you an idea, “big spenders” spend thousands of dollars here. Not like two or three but like $6,000 or more. There are other titles for basically the exact same game like Age of Z and others.

I actually tried another world. It has good graphics, but is a similar trap to where the only way you can enjoy the game is to either been one of the very first to download the game or pay massive amounts of money. I understand apps/games are a business, but there should be options for the casual gamer to where we can play with small spends without losing everything to those who have built up forces for years or spent thousands. Chinese company Camel has bypassed need to purchase items in-game through Apple. You go to a separate website, buy W coins through Pay Pal and other means. Then use the W coins in game. This is awesome for those addicted to spending in the game. I finally escaped the addiction and happy to move on with my life outside a game that truly is designed to keep you engaged 24/7. If you’re still caught up in wao goodluck. If you haven’t tried wao yet, run now or be prepared to lose time, money and your soul.

I have had issues with this game for many, many reasons. There are so many problems with glitches, translation and continuous mystery alerts that lead to absolutely nothing. Customer service in-game is so useless that they created a LINE (similar to WhatsApp) contact. But the service has not changed.
I have spent thousands of dollars on this game. You just can’t compete with the best unless you spend big dollars. I am now boycotting spending because of the low quality customer service they provide.
This is a strategy game and communication is absolutely crucial but it’s futile as the translation is so poor you cannot understand what is being said or instructed in chat. It’s embarrassingly terrible. For years they have said “we are working on it”. Well, go lie to someone else because nothing has improved. I will spend my money elsewhere.
But now they have done something that requires me to bring in my lawyer. I spent money during an event and followed all the prompts give by the game and had to spend more money to complete the event. Me spending the money actually made it so that my points weren’t calculated because of an obvious oversight. Why would a game such as this determine someone from spending money? They wouldn’t, it’s a programming error they have missed. I spent $300. Yep! This is only half the problem. The bigger issue is that when I contacted customer service to make them aware of this issue they treated me like I’m some dumb kid who hasn’t spent a penny when it’s actually the exact opposite. Well, I’m going to make them pay one way or another. This goes along with all the scams that they allow to take place in their game. It is infested with thieves, like themselves. You can report issues of ANY kind and nothing will be done. I promise you!

Would be an excellent game, but they rationing you with time. It’s not enough that you buy the starter pack, after you just get established you have to wait days and days in order to play the game. Either that or you have to buy speed up’s. I would rather buy weapons for characters, then have to wait to play the game.

App is fun at the beginning, if you join into a realm early you will have fun for a few weeks and be competitive. After a few weeks it turns into 100% pay to play/win. If you’re not willing to spend hundreds a week you will get destroyed repeatedly and there’s no way around it. Play at your own risk
Pay to Win/Fosters a Bully Culture
This game was designed for one reason, pay to play. While you can still play and level up, you will never be able to beat the players that pay. There are a lot of special powerful items you can ONLY get by paying for! The game mechanics are also set so that you are always at a disadvantage when attacking another player that is equal to your level, forcing you to only attack players several levels lower than your own who have no chance against you. So as a new player it is very frustrating when all your hard work and time spent is easily taken away by another player who either pays for power, or is SO powerful you can’t defend against them, but they attack you because they wouldn’t stand a chance against a player their level.
