The worst!
What do you mean I have to download an app and put a $10 minimum for a $5 load of laundry. $5 that I will never get back mind you. On top of that I am traveling trying simply to wash my clothes. This company does not provide a service, it creates a problem and makes my experience even worse. Now I don’t have clean clothes all because some third party wants to have my data so they can sale it. They are washing machines, make it tap to pay only, not everything needs to have an app.

I rarely ever write reviews and much less bad ones. But I don’t understand how this app has 4.4 stars? I’ve been using it for 3 years already and the inconvenience it’s caused me is insane! The amount money lost and never refunded after emailing, time wasted because the app doesn’t want to function properly and the amount of times I had to delete the app and download it so I can get it to function is outrageous. Literally the worst app EVER. Unfortunately I have to use it to wash my clothes, but I literally hate it. This app has literally robbed me and my husband money. It’s ridiculous. It’s a literally SCAM.

Customer service is awful
I have been emailing back and forth about getting a refund because they double charged me and someone kept asking for various ways of proof all for them to say I have to call. Mind you they asked me to call after 20 emails back and forth. It was entirely a waste of my time and they knew that.
Additionally, I have put in many maintenance requests regarding the lack of draining, the overall filth of the machines, and requests for upkeep in general all for them to not come out and do anything about it.
If I didn’t have to use these machines I wouldn’t. They definitely bank on the fact that washing machines are a necessity in order to not properly maintain their machines or take care of their customers.

What were they smoking?
I am now at the local laundromat for the third time in five weeks after failure from this app. This time it’s due to the app crashing when I try to pay for a load. Wash didn’t even bother to notify my landlord or tenants when they switched from coin laundry to smartphone only or else. Hasn’t it ever occurred to Wash that not every neighborhood has good mobile reception, not every person has a smartphone and if things can go wrong they will? I resent having to drop everything to go to a laundromat, but at this point I feel more inclined to support a local business than an car-sharing app wannabe whose dreams of digital laundry bliss more resemble a Lexus without wheels.

Nobody-not a single person-in the history of the entire universe, has ever ONCE said “Gee, I sure wish I had to sign up for an account to use my laundry machine!”
This app was literally invented in order to exploit apartment tenants and their need to do laundry. It is not here to help you, it makes nothing more convenient than it would have been, it is not here to solve a problem, it is not here for ANY reason other than to take advantage of a captive market. And there has been very, very little effort put into hiding that fact.
The washing machines cost $3 per cycle and have enough space to hold about three socks. Want to run a week’s worth of laundry? You’re gonna need to fill at least four full machines, each of which can only be activated after forcing you to wait 45 minutes for the app to load. There goes your first $12.
$12 may seem expensive, but by the time your clothes ever see something resembling a wash, you’ve already ripped half your hair clean off BEGGING them to take that money. This is genuinely the slowest, most unbearable app I have ever used. You are waiting 30 seconds to a full minute at Every. Single. Step. And that’s only when you’re already all set up. Remember when laundry machines took a couple quarters to run? Now they take this: 30 minutes to create an account, 30 minutes to add a payment method, 30 minutes to figure out whatever Bluetooth/5g/satellite connection needs to happen between the machine and your phone, and however many attempts as something inevitably goes wrong along the way. Nobody asked for this. NOBODY WANTS THEIR LAUNDRY TO BE DONE THROUGH AN APP.
Side note: you can only load money into the app in an amount no less than $10 at a time. Notice how $3 (the cost of a load) does not divide evenly into $10. So it is borderline impossible to get the maximum value of your deposit out of the app, until you have done $30 worth of laundry. This is so clearly predatory. They are aiming to squeeze every possible drop out of you, the consumer, so that they can fund their next cartoonishly evil business venture.
Not to mention the fact that the machines themselves are absolutely disgusting. They have these strange rubber pockets where moldy food, insects, and bundles of strangers’ hair get caught. I cannot begin to imagine what the function of such a receptacle is, because it certainly does nothing to keep that disgusting stuff away from the clothes (I have had my clothes come out lined with that material on multiple occasions). It is so nasty. But alas, people need to do their laundry, and often have no alternative to what is made available to them at their apartment complex.
Each dryer is the functional equivalent of having three diabetic men softly blow on your laundry for 45 minutes. Another $3 per machine. PLUS, you’ll almost certainly need to run multiple loads before your clothes are dry. No joke, it is common for me to drop $60 on laundry any given weekend. That is not an exaggeration. These people are not your friends-they are here to shake you down.
I cannot reiterate this enough: nobody asked for this. It’s like they took the idea of inserting coins for laundry and made it a trillion times worse, just because they realized how easy it is to take advantage of the need for laundry. It is to the point that in my next apartment, a WASH laundry situation will be a DEALBREAKER for me. This app helps absolutely no one, makes life infinitely less convenient, and is one of the most anti-consumer inventions of all time. They are taking advantage of you and DO NOT CARE to hide it. I pity anyone who ever has to endure this poor excuse for an app.

Terrible machines
Ever since our apartment got these new energy-efficient machines, my clothes come out either ruined, with gunk stuck to them, or completely dry. There is not enough water being used to even get them clean. I had a couple of shirts that smelled lightly of campfire smoke, and upon taking them out of the washing machine (completely dry, of course), ALL of my clothes now smell like campfire smoke despite the detergent bc not even enough water is used to rinse out the originally mild smell. I once tried to wash a single blanket and it started smoking inside the machine as if it was about to catch fire because it was too dry and hot. I am not overfilling the machines at all. This is ridiculous.

So many glitches and delays when i try to pay and use the machines. The app and machine bugs out half the time i try to use it and it has wasted my money before. There are so many problems with connecting and trying to use the app.
Washing machine would not complete the job
Most of the time I go to wash clothes ,I have to keep my fingers crossed that the machine is gonna work. Or go through the entire process. if it’s not the washing machine, it’s the dryer, but there’s always something this time at the end of the wash my clothes were wet on machine #6

Stolen Money!!!
I have to use this app because they changed the way we hace to pay and overall I have been stolen over 25 dollars. I put 10 dollars at a time every time so I could track my money and this keeps happening. It also just happened today to.

The app kicks me out often and takes forever to log back in. The amount of funds showed in the app is incorrect. Its always $2.50 less than the actual amount. So either the app takes a while to deduct the funds or the app is stealing money. The app takes forever to connect to the machines.

I have given so much feedback on the app and the machine functionality. It’s too costly for half the time not working both app and machine. They lag. They over charge with credit card. They take forever to start the manchone. Half the time the app loses connection tot he washing machine so you don’t know when your switch is done. You can’t extend time on the app with o ur going to the machine.

This is by far the worst app I use on a regular basis. It is the only option for using the laundry facilities in my apartment building. The devs have a captive audience, so they do the absolute bare minimum. The devs’ contempt for their customers shines through in every glacially slow interaction , every flakey feature that requires the user to try over and over er and often as not just doesn’t work, in the utter lack of basic consideration for how people might want to configure the app. I hate that I am forced to buy credits so that the developers can make money on the float. They are just soooo damn clever!!! I hate the people who make this app as much as they clearly hate their users. This is a case study in why monopolies are a bad idea.

My apartment complex forces us to use this app unfortunately. I’ve been here for almost a year, and the amount of times the app has worked has been one or two. It is NEVER accurate when it supposedly shows which machines are being used. It also will randomly say your account balance is low, despite having over $15. Lastly, sometimes the machines just won’t connect for no reason at all. If you have any other alternative, I would recommend that instead 10/10 times.

Why make it so someone can request a refund only a certain amount of times if you’re living where these machines are you’re likely to run into multiple problems, especially if you’re putting them in low income complexes where even two dollars makes a difference

The app is honestly so annoying. The idea of using your card instead of coins to wash is cool but this app is not it. Change temp setting
Wish you can change washer temperature and setting . Once you pay and start load you cannot change the washer setting. Also at times you cannot find the number to machines. You need to get out of app even once you check avail machines. Very slow at times.

The app and machines frequently don’t connect. The app only inconsistently sends alerts when laundry is done. It’s a fight every time I want to do a load of laundry.

I just wanted to add funds to my existing card but had to Bluetooth enable, use location and now carry my phone to the laundry room. Do not use this POS if you can avoid it.

Not only does the machine often fail to work, but they still charge for it, and it’s impossible to get a refund for the money already paid. It frequently malfunctions-often failing to spin to drain the water. This has happened countless times; not just once, twice, or three times, but over a hundred times in my experience.

I’m very frustrated with this wash app. It requires us to add funds before we can even start a wash, yet it still somehow puts our balance into the negative. That is confusing and completely unacceptable. If payment is required upfront, and we are only able to wash if we have the needed balance, there should be no way for the balance to go negative. When a washer/drier is broken (unless when it is off) the app does not let you report the issue to dispute the charge. The company is benefiting from making it more difficult to get a refund than it is to pay. This scam calls for a class action.

The complaints I have with the washer and dryer at 5111 N. 16th Ave. is that neither one are accurate when it comes to letting us know how much time is left on the machine. The app will say an amount of minutes left and when you go into the laundry room, there is always four to five minutes still left when it said that the machines are completed according to the app…also, the areas where you are to place your softener and bleach, are always filled with water, so you can’t accurately put in either of those items and the cost of the machines have increased and this is a senior community where everyone is on fixed incomes. Both machines have gone up over a dollar each.
