I tried to download pictures today that said free then I tried to recover them it said expired and I had to pay

They say no expiration and the files get deleted after a time. Also I have had issues being able to open the files. I am taking a graduate course and the files are needed to study so this adds another layer of stress that isn’t needed. This app is a good idea however they need to workout the bugs still. Yes I have a paid subscription which to me makes this worse

Unless sender allows a preview you will never view doc...unable to open what I received in any app on my iPad...and sender is being bit of a dyk not sending different avenue with preview sos I can see the rotten item. And I bet as soon as you start paying WE a monthly items will become viewable right?

wetransfer itself is fine, great for what it does even- unless youre on mobile where if you try to send a file on the web version itll block the option to do so with a popup that insists you download said app. if you do eventually with great reluctance and annoyance download said app since you saw no way to get past it, saying youll either delete it right after or maybe even keep it since you know youll need to send another file in some way and you might as well, it immediately prompts you you put in your card for the free trial and theres no way to get around it, lol. ticked me off so bad i had to type this because in no way should sending one file to myself via another email to try and get it on my pc be this infuriatingly tedious.

I got this app to transfer a file to someone and it took a WEEKLY 9.99 after I cancelled subscription.

Was forced to
Don’t like being forced to download the app just to send stuff. Worked just fine on the mobile site and some of us have a limited amount of storage on our devices. Thanks.

This app is a scam. Charged me 3x in one month for a “free trial”
Horrible service
Parasitic app with sneaky charges. Used app to download vacation photos from tourist center was then charged weekly $9.99 several times in a row until I concealed and deleted the app.
Changed the terms of subscription after the fact
I subscribed in order to have the benefits of a larger monthly transfer limit, and for transfers to be available for 7 days, but about a month into my year-long subscription WeTransfer reduced the transfer availability to 3 days. Pretty user-unfriendly to reduce the benefits of a subscription so substantially in order to try and push people to the higher tier.
Why are we having to pay
Sad that we have to pay now . This is the only service out there that I can use to get auditions to my agents. But having to pay to send audition is just ridiculous. You guys don’t listen to any feedback whatsoever . 2. Emails should auto populate considering this is MY profile and it should know who I send auditions to regularly. Having to write out emails is insane .
Expensive If You Do Not Get Files Often
The price is a bit much and it seems the files expire in 7 days an after that you can’t retrieve them.

Confusing
I like Dropbox better easier to transfer files from one computer to another, the interface is much more friendly whereas we transfer doesn’t make any sense. It doesn’t save anything. It just is not my best friend.
Stay away from this company!
AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. I never signed up for a subscription and never authorized any charges, yet I was being billed $9.99 every week. When I contacted Apple, they told me to reach out to WeTransfer. WeTransfer then responded a person named Mila by saying there was “nothing they could do” and sent me right back to Apple.
Charging people for services they never agreed to and then refusing to take responsibility is unacceptable and borderline deceptive. This company shows zero accountability, provides no real customer support, and has no interest in fixing their own billing issues. Save yourself the headache and stay far away. I guarantee these reviews are from their own employees, so many problems from users but yet a lot of positive reviews, stay away!!!

Free App?
Had to “buy” a Free app that would charge me $7.99 after one week per week. Thats a $400 free app. The app itself was quirky at best and created four audio files for my chapter one. Never got to her my book for the first time. Found a real free app that worked.

Total rip-off!
I somehow ended up in a free trial for this app, having once searched for a means to transfer large files. Unbeknownst to me, the free trial turned into a paid subscription at $9.95/week! I never one used it! I’m trying to get this refunded through Apple.

EXTREMELY SHADY COMPANY
Please don’t use this app if you are an artist or someone who cares about what you are transferring. In the small print you can read they have full ownership of anything you transfer using their service and use it to train generative AI. Please don’t support this company.
Whadaya mean?
Wetransfer is glitchey and unresponsive in trying to do a simple download, for me anyway. And I get no feedback on how to correct the problems.
Doesn’t work as advertised
This product simply doesn’t work. I subscribed, paid 3.99, and then another 9.99 trying to get a file transferred. It said “ limit exceeded, must upgrade.” Then I try to upgrade, and it says, “you already subscribed.” One mig merry go round. So basically this app stole 9.99 from me. Enjoy my money. I got nothing in return.
Overcharging customers
I signed up for a premium account with we transfer in July. Because of an issue with the website I was charged for 3 subscriptions. I was not able to access the features of the platform or use the service because my account was still listed as a Free version and not the paid version. I couldn’t make changes or access my information on the website. We transfer didn’t resolve the issue my bank didn’t resolve the issue. It is now December and I have been charged $425 for a service i couldn’t access or use. I have contacted customer support multiple times no response. I would not recommend signing up with we transfer.
Won’t let me cancel
I was forced to sign up to get my photos and being charged $9.99 a week!! I’ve tried multiple times to cancel before my free trial and the app will not process my request. Terrible customer service!!

Used WiFi and cellphone data. Nothing uploads. It freezes at 60 percent or any odd number .

Please help please I keep getting charged
I have been trying to cancel my subscription for over a month now and it keeps charging me every week and it will not allow me to cancel as every time I click cancel it reverts back to the home page and keeps charging me. No support hotline and they do not respond to emails. I don’t know what to do someone please help!!! 😢😭😭

And those failures happened with full signal and full charge on the device. Lots of stalls and upload fails. Also, lots of spinning wheels of death when just trying to set up a transfer. I’ve had to uninstall and reinstall several times to get the app to work temporarily.
Storage
It’s says I have no storage when I literally on want to download 2 videos and I just downloaded the app today. My actual phone also has plenty of storage.
