Fine, here’s your 1 star review. (You don’t honor account deletions.)
Over 4 months ago, I initiated an account deletion through this app that has not yet been fulfilled. Repeated attempts only indicate that I’ll receive an email once the deletion is complete. It, of course, is never complete. This is unconscionable. This is a simple action to take, but one that they apparently are refusing to do. So I’ve taken two small steps to strip them of their power over my data. 1.) I anonymized my personal data. 2.) I’m leaving this negative review as a warning to all privacy-minded people to steer clear of this organization.

Repeatedly resets personalized products
First, this app is on the struggle bus: it’s slow, it freezes up, and I got the wheel of death as many times. I was trying to order some “Best Selling Williams Sonoma Classic Aprons”-the ones that they sell year round. I wanted to order 4 personalized aprons. I had to enter the personalization every time I ventured from my cart, or I had to get out from a frozen screen or the wheel of death, which got old-fast. When I went to check out, 3 of the 4 aprons were on backorder; which there wasn’t much I could do about that.
I finally said “nope. Too expensive of an apron for this much effort.”
I deleted the app and will shop at Sur la Tablé from now on. They are cheaper anyway.

Beware that the shipping times are way off. Don’t rely on WS for your Thanksgiving items unless they are in the store.
Payment loop
Don't allow people to link an app purchase to Venmo if Venmo links back to a web browser. My cart was "out of sync" and I had to start over about six times.
Fix The Recipe Box
What good is the recipe box when I never know if my recipe box or some random one will load. How have you not fixed this yet.

Great products bad online technologies
I spent two hours trying to make a purchase I gave up with the phone and tried iPad I returned to the phone and downloaded an app. I still could not make a purchase nor could I determine where the purchase was going to be sent. I then tried a laptop. I stepped some wine and had dinner and returned and tried again. This time I was able to place the order. But it took me 30 minutes. To fill in the form of where it was to go to. The Williams Sonoma tech. Continued to prompt me with incorrect address. It was so incredibly amazing. Even just now trying to provide a nickname was not easy.!!’n
Can’t delete items from cart
As the title says, you can’t delete items from the cart the app is pretty much useless. you struggle to check out 80% of the time. it is available on the iPad, even though it is not designed for it at all and should be pulled
App is a pain
I really do not like this app. Browsing sale items a few at a time and then needing to tap load more, not being able to easily apply My Key Rewards numbers in checkout, the total listed below the complete purchase button. These are simple UX issues that need resolution.
Doesn’t work
Unable to access recipes which is the only reason I downloaded the app. Talked to customer service for over an hour, still unable to access.

I made the mistake of having a registry at Williams-Sonoma. Not only when you go in the store. Is everyone unaware or completely unhelpful and I have no idea even how to do anything for the registry but then I’m troubled with my wedding guest calling me with concerns over their gifts That they have got me from the registry I had to go into Williams Sonoma to get a gift card from a return to make a purchase on the app on my own registry and in case you didn’t know, I am the bride once I put in all my information. I’ve used my iPad and iPhone and they both say that there’s a system error on top of that I went to buy something on my registry and they had no idea how to make it show up as purchased on my registry so I ended up having to delete it off my registry, even though I wanted it to say purchase this is just so sad because I thought William Sonoma was a top-tier cooking brand. I wish I just took to my gut and only registered it through Bloomingdale’s take my advice this app is useless, and the people in the store are even more useless

No free shipping to Hawaii
Constantly bombarded by free shipping emails and free shipping banners while I’m on the app. Free shipping on each items page free shipping at checkout but as soon as I put in my address, the shipping charges at least $22 for even the smallest item. Stop soliciting free shipping when it’s not free.
App 100% fails to launch on iPhone 16 pro
App 100% fails to launch with an error about the telemetry service returning zero. Really fragile app that’s poorly written.
Bad!
Downloaded the app to IPad, app does not expand to full screen in landscape mode, so can’t use the keypad. Could not access my recipe box/ saved recipes. Am getting errors that my WS card expired but cannot update it. Super hard to search for items when shopping. Have to go back to the browser…

Recipe Box
I have written a review before about a problem I continuously had and thankfully, it was fixed. However, after using the app and collecting a number of recipes in the app in the Recipe Box my complaint is this. If I am having to pay a yearly fee with new recipes being added, I want the capability to collect more than 30 recipes per folder. And I would like the ability to be able to have more than the “allotted “ number of folders. If you are going to limit this the way you have, I can just print the recipes off of the website and cancel the app. Pleas work on this.

Site not easy to navigate
The site refused my password and email on an account I have had for years. I constantly have to change my password (every time I order) but this time it even said my email didn’t exist. Ridiculous.

Transfer of old to new billîng is a horrible mess. Does not work and when it does is a disaster. Cannot make purchase, have to phone.

I keep trying to shop the app but Everytime I click on at item I get an error screen that it cannot load. I’ve updated the app several times and no even updated today and get the same message. So it makes the app useless. I have even deleted the app and reinstalled it. Same result. I might as well skip the app and shop on a regular web browser.

Key Rewards
I am a very loyal purchaser of Williams Sonoma and its affiliated brands. I have several key rewards that I wanted to apply to this purchase but wasn’t allowed to apply all of them. Very disappointed that I couldn’t use all of the rewards I have earned.
Paste crashes app
If you have anything copied when setting up an account, WS will ask if you want to paste that into the field (eg your name or email). If you tap “No” (cause I didn’t even know I had something copied) the app will crash, restart, and then prompt again if you want to paste whatever you have copied into the field.
Also it’s annoying that the default password was autogenerated. Why is this even an option when my password manager is not on my phone.

Registry Impossible to Manage
Using the app mainly to manage our wedding registry. Sorting and filtering features on the registry are useless. Sorting by brand, category, high to low, etc never work and every time you view your items are in a completely random order. This is also an issue on web. Really frustrating experience.
Additionally, if any item has a customization feature and you don’t want to customize it, it sends the item to the shopping cart and not the registry. Have not been able to add items to our registry due to this.
Finally, trying to swipe through the photos of an item often results in you swiping to the next item in the list instead of being able to see photos. Overall incredibly glitchy app.

Dreadfully unfriendly process
A variety of clearance items are still listed but when selected simply do not end up in cart. When you go to your cart to pay, some of THOSE items then appear under the heading “no longer available“. Back to the items for sale, then back to the cart to pay and the first items have disappeared. Won’t be using the app again.

Third, the most expensive pieces, a set of pots and pans-I couldn’t find for half an hour then finally stumbled across it.
Fourth, it said fast free shipping. Earlier there was an option for a more expedited delivery. Wasn’t there the second time around so now it says the items won’t get here for over a month.
The use of the app and website was time consuming and frustrating.
I hope their customer service people will read this and call to me in order to expedite this order.
