Suggested enhancements
Overall a useful app, oils be GREAT with a few enhancements. 1) Larger icon for current location. Blue dot is hard to see at a glance 2) Support for direction up. North up, is harder to use when moving. Adds to #1 3) Details show at higher zoom level. The current offline download is tiny, only 133Mb .So higher resolution tiles will be of little consequence on modern devices.

Update: under duress, bought the app anyway and I’m disappointed. Many trails names are not given, just the number. So if someone tells you a trail name you may not find it on the trail index list.
Other important features that should be added:
• enable/disable map grid overlay when zoomed in
• tapping on a item on Index and Points of interest should center and zoom in that item in the map.

Someone studied the Disney model of monetization. Dollars to get in and dollars to get around.

Have to pay to view trail maps
Why should you pay for a trail map? How is anyone supposed to plan a trip?
Price gouging
It’s a free app to download. But once you download and open the app you have to pay 9.99-19.99 to even use it? The only thing I wanted the app for was to access the map. The other features you can do on their website for free. I guess I’ll just use their paper map when I get there. If they were just up front and made it, idk 7.99 in the App Store, then you have access to the maps, I’d be totally cool with that. It’s some shady business that they’re doing it this way. I’m well aware that windrock likes to nickel and dime you for literally everything. But come on. There’s a line. This is a little much. And according to the other reviews, even if you do pay for it, the app doesn’t even work properly. Save you money, use a different geo map.

Be prepared to lose $10
DO NOT BUY THIS. Don’t be stupid like me and skim reviews only to find yourself having to write one. For starters, this map is severely overpriced and should just be included with the purchase of the ticket. Second, IT NEVER DOWNLOADED. So I payed for a blank app screen that says and I quote “downloading map files”. Save yourself some money and internal condemnation and just wing it.

I’ve tried to buy the annual maps two separate times and it has not given me the maps. Both times, i had to have apple refund me.

2) no tracking history (bread crumbs)
3) WAY over priced for what it is
4) very little detail on points of interest
5)Difficult to find your location (blue beacon)
6) map does not move with you
7) no option for heads up display
8) no way to mark waypoints
If your not familiar with the area it’s better than nothing but there are more and better options.

I should’ve listened to all the other reviewers. I paid for the 7-day trail map but never got access to the map. The app continues to load the page prompting me to pay without the option to display the map I already purchased. I emailed the app developer and received no response.
Garbage - will steal your money
It angers me that they stopped allowing Maplets map updates because that worked so much better than this garbage. Used it fine the first time I bought it. The past two times I have tried to renew it had taken my money and doesn’t download the map. Just keeps asking me to buy like others have suggested. Don’t waist your time or money.

I was thinking about taking a trip to Windrock, however, if they are going to charge me just to see a trail map what else are they going to nickel and dime me for? I was hoping to get an idea of the type of trails they have such as easy to moderate, but I’m not going to pay $20 just to better plan a trip that is two states away. I can understand charging for a GPS map, but it’s 2020 and I should at least be able to see a non interactive map before a trip! I’ll go to McCoy Hatfield instead.

This app does not let you view the map without paying. Not a good way to convince new guests to visit.

Paid for a yearly map because I go to Windrock a lot and there’s no map. Apparently it only works on Android. Anyways, it’s a waste of money.

Don’t get your moneys worth
Purchase the annual pass in August, went to open it on 2/29/20 to plan a ride out for next weekend an app was gone off my phone, redownloaded it and now it wants me to pay for the pass again. Do not waste your money on this app, based on the others reviews a lot of people are not getting a full year or even 6 months out of the annual pass. Nothing can be done with the creator or App Store. WASTE OF MONEY!!!!
Fraud alert - don’t use this app
Downloaded app, paid for 7 day access, and still can’t see trail map. Every time I click on the trail map, it asked me to pay again. 0 stars
Immediately asks for money
Why would I pay money to simply explore the trail map? Makes me not want to go to the park despite my knowing that they’re some of the best bike trails on the East Coast. It’s just plain junk to write an app like this.

I purchased the annual map , the next week got a new phone and guess what? Yep it doesn’t transfer.. contacted Samantha she says so sorry can’t help me should contact App Store.. how in H do you do that? Beware

Clicked year long subscription and was met with an error. My payment was taken out but it didn’t register with the app. It looks like they had this problem already cause there was a patch that “fixed” it. It doesn’t work. Had to get apple to refund me.

Pay for Maps?
It’s absurd that they want to charge 7.99 for 7 day access to maps or $19.99 for annual access. I’ll just use google, Gaia GPS and the paper map from the store.

I purchased the trail map for 7 days earlier this year. Everything worked just fine. We are leaving tomorrow for Windrock and I purchased the 7 day trail map again. This time it does not work. It keeps wanting me to buy the trail maps instead of loading them. The money is already taken out of my account so I know the purchase has been made. Not sure what is going on this time around
Suggestions
I purchased the annual trail membership on my phone not knowing I couldn’t also use it on my iPad without paying the subscription fee again. You should be able to use on multiple devices owned by the same person.
Also you should be able to track your route not just show you where you are.
Take pictures and add pins on the map
