Total scam
I was hopeful, but ultimately astonished that they do not control any of the people that participate. I reached out to Wine-Searcher directly and asked for help when they failed to ship me a case of wine that I ordered. They said I need to take it up with the shop I ordered it from. Offered no support no help. I subsequently tried to pursue the individual purveyor to no avail. $700 down the drain. Do not use the people associated with this app under any circumstance.

It SHOULD provide a list of wines from everywhere, based on what you're searching for, and you could then find who sells those wines. But nope. It only shows what they're selling. We want an app that's a "Consumer Reports" for wine, but I haven't found one yet.

Doesn’t show the same results as website
You don’t get all the results if you’re not willing to pay..
Ratings removed from bottom menu
Latest version removed Ratings from the bottom menu, making keeping track of my favorites much more frustrating. Now I have to always navigate to it from Account. Please revert this change for easier access.
This app is garbage....
Any app I have to download, create an account, delete, re-download and sign into is still alpha at best. Should not have been released.
The website is great, but has become unusable
I love the website, helps me with my job as a wine purchaser, but the app has completely locked me out and declared I am a robot with no way to resolve the problem.
Search doesn’t work
Search for stores regardless of filter or search criteria (ie 50 miles of your zip) return the same 900+ results.

In Argentina
The Ap is incapable of finding a well known winery. My wife’s wine App Delectable” found it immediately.
Availability of Listed Wines Inaccurate
Too many wines shown as in stock at store end up being out of stock or more expensive than listed on original page.
Too many error messages.

What am I doing wrong?
I just downloaded this app hopefully to do two things for me.
1. What prices range it’s selling for in my area
2. What stores are selling the label I took a picture of.
I purchased two bottles locally here in Nashville that I used for my test.
When I clicked on “ Shops”, it displayed shops across the country but nothing locally.
I did enabled the app to use my location when using the app! So, so fare it’s useless because it didn’t provide me what I wanted....

Worst app ever

I performed a red wine search under $20 near my location and the search results were wines $70 and above. What good is filling in a filter for searches if it is ignored.
I also searched for red wines by critic Robert Parker and got zero results and a server error.
Any other critic also got the same results and error.
Useless app, I requested a refund but likely won’t get the $70 annual subscription back that I just paid for 10 minutes ago.
Save your money and avoid this app.

Why move the Ratings Button?
I know I’ve posted before but it is so frustrating to go back and forth through the app to find the ratings button. Please move it back. Thanks.
Bad value
$10 a month, and the premium version still does not provide notes from pro reviews from the likes of Jancis Robinson or Tim Atkins
Edit: just to follow up on the developers response, bizarrely, they are mistaken. Jancis Robinson and Tim Atkins scores are available on the pro version, but any notes or commentary on a given wine are still behind a paywall on both of critics individual websites.
You pay ~$120 a year and don’t get to read what 2 of the worlds best wine critics (and arguably the worlds leading critic in JR), have to say about a wine. For that kind of money, for an app, a person should not have to pay for any additional wine critic notes.

Bug Issues
Whenever I click on a link in a wine’s profile page, instead of telling me what it tastes like or telling me where the wine is from all it populates is a long code message. Even after the newest update it is still doing that
Changing search regions
How do you change search regions on the Pro app? I’m stuck searching USA. This app isn’t user friendly.
Wrong wines
I take a picture of the wine label and it is coming up with the wrong brand and some times wrong color. If you don’t have it in your database, I would rather you say that you don’t have it. Then give me something I didn’t take a picture of.

Wasted time shopping recommendations
I was looking for some whiskey and they had several sites showing they ship to Florida. They would not ship and had really poor website performance- cutting out and just freezing. I spent over 30 minutes trying to buy to no avail from the top 3 recommendations.
Distance search is messed up.
I put in my zip code + five miles, and it’s showing me stores 20, 30 miles away. Meanwhile I know a shop (a shop listed on Wine-Searcher) that has the particular item that’s a mile away and they’re not coming up in the search. Wassup, WineSearcher?
