Disappointing
I rarely purchase apps, but I love this board game and it had great ratings, so I gave it a try. Unfortunately, it is constantly glitching and closing out the game. Nothing more frustrating than playing an hour long game for it to glitch on the last round and kick you out. I’ve attempted at least 10 games and have only been able to complete 1. Not worth paying for IMO.
Unreadable icons
This is an enormously frustrating game unless you have 20-year-old eyes. It directs the user to click on icons that cannot be located anywhere on the screen.
In Accessible Can’t read or zoom
I wanted to love this but esp on the phone it is is impossible to zoom or adjust text and for sight impaired it is near impossible to read so can’t play at all. Gets worse with Accessibility settings on.

Doesn’t work anymore
For a month or more now I’ve had an old online game that won’t let me finish/clear it out. I have a started game that any time you click on it it becomes grayed out and nothing happens. Bummer. I used to enjoy playing daily.
Family Sharing problem with Wingspan on iOS
I’m asking for help with a Family Sharing issue involving the Wingspan game on iOS.
I already own Wingspan and have been able to use it on my devices before, but recently I started having problems on both my iPad and iPhone. When I try to download or restore access through Family Sharing, the App Store asks me to pay again.
I also tried checking the shared purchases through my husband’s account from my App Store family purchases section, but I cannot see Wingspan there either. Because this is happening on both my iPad and iPhone, I suspect it may be related to iOS, App Store purchase sharing, or the Apple Account used for Media & Purchases.
And once worked, trying to redownload where it does not apply the price, did not work and I paid 9.99 usd for the app I already had via family share and it is non-refundable now.
This 1 start is not for the game itself but for the service behind it.

I like birds. I hate this game.
This game looks amazing, but it’s actually super boring and frustrating. Also, the bird theme doesn’t make any sense if you think about the mechanics of the game for even a second. This is a boring and unbalanced game about factory workers and resource management that they slapped bird names onto in order to make it more appealing (despite none of the game mechanics having anything to do with birds). Also, it is 99.99% luck-based. I love birds, and I bought this game because the art is pretty. But the game sucks.
Hopelessly confusing tutorial
The tutorial is horrible and hopelessly confusing. Since I can't understand how to play the game due to how ridiculously complex and awful the tutorial is, I have not managed to play one game. I should not have to rely on a bunch of external YouTube videos to figure out how to play this game and I won't do that. I'm used to games like Hearthstone that clearly lay out the rules. Waste of money.
Don’t buy if you use Lockdown Mode
Will not launch on any of my devices, despite restarting, etc. I keep trying but it never runs. Massive disappointment and could not easily get a refund.
Horrible interface
The board game is so much better and I love the concept but I’d hope to continue playing with friends across the country, but the interface is horrible; You have no idea where you’re up to, sometimes it just stops and you don’t know why, it wants you to do something but you have no idea what it is or which areas stuck in. Eg: am I meant to be tucking a bird? No? Using an egg? No, discarding something? No? Okay, now what? There’s no indication of what needs to happen to progress the game. - The “help” is just fixed and static, it’s not contextual at all. So you try and get help, but it’s just the same information that you already saw, and it’s not very helpful. - Some of the background art, like for the feeder is just always there so it seems like you can always access it except you can’t like you can see the birdfeeder, but then it has to open in this other space which also makes no sense. - The use of space, and size has been poorly considered. Eg: a lot of relevant information is so small I can’t see it, and I barely need glasses, I have a very mild script and still struggled. Across a Mac an iPad and an iPhone, they all shared the same poor design challenges, eg: location, next steps/allowed or required actions are not clear so you end up leaving the game cause it might as well be frozen. In terms of readability and accessibility, that would also be a fail, as the writing is too small, there isn’t enough contrast, the backgrounds are busy and they didn’t appropriately consider use of space. It is a shame, but they are enough of a barrier to make playing it very difficult. Physical game is great, and we have all of the expansions. I hope the digital game improves a lot.

The quality of this app is steadily declining, which is really disappointing, considering how great it was.
I signed in recently and was notified that all my save files/data have all been wiped. All my previous games are gone. The “birds” section is now entirely empty, after I had precisely unlocked all of them.
The loading time is ridiculous and the app is crashing with increasing frequency, making the slow loading time even more annoying.
Oh, but don’t worry. The “News” section always telling me about “new” posts from 0-3 years ago, most of which are advertising other games I have no interest in or telling me about fancy new backgrounds that somehow cause the game to behave even less reliably than it does without them.

Can’t Keep it Up
I love this game, but instead of constantly making new updates for new backgrounds can we focus on fixing this app so it doesn’t crash? I’ve pushed through for the last two years, but after the last two updates I can only play 1.5 consecutive turns before it crashes. Seriously disappointing for such a beautiful game. I can’t play it anymore and will strongly caution anyone else from buying the app.
Tailored fit
I have completed the tailored fit achievement three times now and it won’t give me the achievement. I’ve had this issue with other achievements as well. Please fix this. I’m only giving you a 1 star to get your attention. This game is 5/5

Horrible
I can’t get to play the game at all! It goes to the page where it has to click the tutorial, play game etc. and it doesn’t budge. I keep clicking the tutorial, or game and it doesn’t do a thing. What a waste of money!! I’m trying to play it on my IPad since the screen on my phone is way too small. My IPad is up to date on upgrades, and has enough ram, so I can not understand why it’s not working. I was very much looking to play the game, and it doesn’t work!

Hasn’t worked right yet
I have played the board game many times and really enjoy it. For some reason though, I have yet to have success with playing this game through the app. Something has gone wrong each time I have played. This most recent run through, eggs were not being registered, so I missed out on approximately 30 points between round end goals and end of game points. Because of these glitches, I am turned off from playing this game.
Losing games
Every time I open the app to play my games I have no idea which ones will be there and which ones will have disappeared. Then later games that disappeared may reappear, but they have ended because I failed to play (not my fault) and I lose “karma” points. I don’t care about the karma points but the ghosting of my games by the app is really distressing me.
Great asynchronous game!
Love this game! Love that the asynchronous version allows 72 hours per player so I have a good mini activity that isnt scrolling social media just waiting for me when I have 5 minutes to spare! Also really beautiful and thoughtful design
Timer Glitches
This used to be so fun to play but I’ve become frustrated with the 3 minute timer. I play my turns quickly and pay attention to the game but I’ve had three times in a row where (1) my phone died and I couldn’t reconnect quick enough, (2) I was debating which card to tuck from my hand on a rather long turn with lots of activations and didn’t realize the timer was almost out, and (3) I had someone come to my door and had to help them before being able to return to the game. PLEASE make an option to skip my turn rather than replace me with AI. I get that other people want to play in a timely manner, so just skip my turn if I’ve been taking 10-40 seconds every other time. I just want to be able to finish a game!! It’s so frustrating to see the message about being replaced when I do actually want to play. Thank you for reading.
Game disappeared
I started an online asynchronous game with friends, and we were barely halfway through the first round of picking starting cards and food when the game disappeared without any notification. What happened?

Now takes forever to load
Have had this game for a few years…on an M1 iPad Air, it now takes at least a minute for the game to boot. Crazy. Gameplay is great though.
Too many bugs, cumbersome
This app has cumbersome game play, with too many required toggles during a turn, and missing places for the undo function. It also often fails to recognize birds I have played while calculating scoring. I can spend the whole game working toward the “birds in water” goal, only to have the game fail to recognize them. The art is beautiful, but gameplay is so frustrating.

Why does my app continue to crash several times per game?
I love this game, I hate how glitchy the app is
I constantly get “online errors” that knock me out of the app; recently stopped working entirely on wifi & only works on celular data (not great for someone without an unlimited data plan). For a game that’s so good it’s very annoying to have these issues.
