This company and app are a unethical. They sign you up for multiple services , make cancellation impossible by hiding the button out of visibility as well as requiring you to cancel several different features that they sign you up for when you select the minimum service. I have never seen a company get away with such fraud but Apple is struggling with this merchant.
App sucks good concept
Tried to listen to a couple books and wouldn't even load. Other apps in my phone and safari worked well just to validate it wasn't my phone. Waste of money.

This app has charged me $220.23 so far without even the ability to get through the starting of the app to even find the admin in which to unsubscribe HORRIBLE. I’m not sire how I was signed up - but they sure are taking my money and not allowing me to even get into the app.

You buy the app and you can only log into this app when you do your fingerprint scan. I think that should be up to a person who is purchasing the app if they want to give their fingerprint or not there’s no other as a possibility so and can’t use it because I don’t want to use messing up print
Customer Support ghosted me
I did the trial but forgot to cancel after I discovered I wouldn’t use the app. No reminder, which is bad business ethics, but I did agree to a trial then getting charged.
My issue is I reached out to customer service the day of to see if they would refund me the $90 and included my user ID from the app. Ashley responded and requested additional information. I responded twice to the email, the first with the info and the second as a follow up, but with no response.

This app is extremely difficult to cancel the subscription. Even after replying they would canceled. I have been charged twice. Move forward with caution.

Do not buy this app! It does not work as shown in the advertisements. The features are not delivered as promised, and the experience is very different from what they promote. Also, canceling is unnecessarily complicated - you have to contact them by email instead of being able to cancel easily through the app. Very disappointing.

Be aware that they will overcharge your credit card without any authorization and then never properly answer your emails requesting for clarification and subscription details!

Misleading Subscription Design Resulting in Unauthorized Charge
I purchased a subscription while setting up my account. During the setup process, I was shown information about an infographic and prompted to tap a Continue button. I did not intend to purchase a subscription; however, after tapping Continue, I was charged $19.99 through my Apple account.
I immediately requested to cancel the subscription and receive a refund. However, Ashley from customer support informed me that my subscription was already canceled and that I could continue using it until February. This response does not address my refund request.
The way the subscription flow is designed is misleading. After the initial subscription, no purchase confirmation is required, and tapping Continue-which does not clearly indicate a paid action-results in a charge. This creates confusion and leads users to unintentionally purchase a subscription.
If I do not receive a refund within two days, I will proceed with contacting my bank to dispute the charge.

I purchased the app for 3 months cause was very promising but it just worked the first day and then stopped opening every time I tried to use showing internal server error 1002 which I tried to fix sending an email to the customer support but never got an answer. Now when I try to use the app my profile got deleted and it seems like I’ve never had an account and now they’re asking to pay for a new subscription.. wtf. I really had expectations with this app and that was the reason to pay for it the first time but no now after going through all this bs
⭐️ 1 Star - Shady, misleading, and feels like a scam
Before you buy. This app is absolutely horrible. I signed up and was charged a $52 annual fee, and then-without any clear warning-they started charging my credit card $19 every single month on top of that. That is not what most people would reasonably agree to.

I would rate this app with no stars if I could. I initially downloaded it with excitement and was charged approximately $6 for a special offer. However, as I used the app, it repeatedly prompted for infographics and similar content, resulting in additional charges each time. I reached out to support immediately, but unfortunately, they did not offer a refund despite the charges being incurred less than a day earlier. I haven't been able to fully utilize the app itself. I wouldn’t recommend this app to others, especially given the multiple charges for various features. I was eager to try the app and share it with my friends and colleagues, but after this experience, they were quickly discouraged. As a company, offering refunds or compensation in such situations would be appreciated. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.

Useless with poor UI
I downloaded the app and paid for an annual subscription in hopes of getting useful content. I was disappointed to both in how busy the user interface was and in the contents the app offers. Also, be aware, that if you cancel your subscription, you do not get a refund-the app remains active for the whole duration you paid for. 11 months of paying for 2 days of trying it out.

Liberal-leaning recommendations
I selected Wiser to grow my knowledge and understanding of a wide array of topics, some I was interested in and others to expand my knowledge base. I quickly learned the summaries focused on left-leaning principles of collectivism, victimhood, and social justice. I attempted to adjust the preferences to remove these selections, and was disappointed they continued to appear in my daily suggestions. To test my theory, I searched for conservative leaning material to discover none were available or included, either by title or theme. I hoped for a neutral array of book summaries but found a selection meant to indoctrinate not inform. If this is what you’re seeking, you’ve found it. Otherwise I recommend another micro-learning app.
App isn’t even loading up after I paid
This is so unacceptable. I pay for this app and now it isn’t loading at all. I use this app for help and now I can’t even access the help I need. I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app and still not working

Do not even try creating an account for they will charge you for simply doing so! They added charges without telling you that they charge for those utilities such as infographics, downloadables… pretty much anything you need to use the actual functionality of this app! Once you realized you spent money on things you thought were part of the app features and try to get a refund, they literally reject and continue to make it more complicated and frustrating for you to even try. Seriously such a scam i don’t understand how they are even an app you can still download.

I downloaded the Wiser app on may 2025! Just the option of 1 month for $6.72 . Yet I click on something just to get more info and immediately the app said I’ve upgraded from 1 month to another premium option and gave me 2 charges. One of 19,99 and another for 40.08.
I tried to cancel, and I couldn’t even access my profile. They kept stealing money every month. And the only way to avoid it is to put a block on my credit card. They will not reply and you’ll never get access to your account again. It’s a NIGHTMARE! It looks legit but do not be fooled, they will charge you multiple times a month and get as much money as they can.

Don’t buy it. Waste of time. The app itself is full of bugs and simple tasks/buttons do not work with just one tap. The overall experience is clunky and very annoying. Explains why bc looks like they started just 6 months ago. The book summaries are very superficial and lack depth and proper insights. Looks like they used ChatGPT to summarize books instead of using actual Juan’s to distill real insights from the books. This leaves the user learning more about things that they likely already know and nothing new.

Love the concept but it keeps crashing
December 2025/january 2026 you’ll may want to look at the bugs again I’m in my free trial and the app keeps crashing even though I keep deleting and reinstalling it
App doesn’t load when opening
I signed up for he year plan but after using it for two days. It would not let me open the app. The only way it would work is to delete the app and reinstall it. Hopefully you can fix the glitch, I do like the app when it works. But I don’t appreciate paying for the service and then it not working correctly.

And support is another big issue it took about 5 weeks for them to finally get back to me with some sort of a response, only to hear that they are not willing to investigate and web subscriptions are non refundable even if you have no access to your account after deleting it, the irony of cancelling a web subscriptions without access to the account. Hundreds of $ wasted on a subscription. Very bad experience
The idea is great, the feature can be better
The idea of bite-size learning is great, but I find the app less user-friendly than it should be. For example, there is no read-aloud highlighting feature, and when I try to highlight a word, it doesn’t work. When I attempted to contact support, it opened another app on my phone. There is also no easy way to manage the subscription.
This is the second time I’ve subscribed to the app. After using it again, I was reminded why I didn’t continue the last time. To be honest, I regret subscribing again. I plan to use it until the subscription expires and then discontinue it.

App is Great, Service is not!
My review is about my customer service from Wiser. I placed a request to get my account restored. That request itself is all my fault. However, when I got the required information to James in the support dept., there was a long gap in responding or restoring. Contact has since broken off and I still do not have my account restored. This happened after I asked why a developer has to reactive my account. No response and buyer beware.
Horrible glitches
I’ve had the app for two days and I haven’t been able to read one book because of the horrible glitches. When I open a book, it will jump from chapter 1 to the last chapter to the middle chapter so fast that I can’t even read it. It just glitches back-and-forth and it won’t stop until I have to close the app. Very disappointing after paying for the service. If they fixed this glitch, it would be a very enjoyable app. It’s unfortunate.

I really like the idea of Wiser, but wow. Tried to sign up via Apple with hide my email and got an internal server error. Probably because they want your real email to sell your data. Then I tried to skip signup just to see if this app was even worth the trouble, and immediately got hit with signup screens without even simply seeing what the app looked like. Then because OF COURSE I’m not going to pay them without even getting to see what the screens or content looks like, I edited the trial signup pop up. AND THEN, this dark pattern nag screen pops up offering me a lower price BUT JUST FOR TWO MINUTES with a little fake ticking clock. When I finally got out of the “but wait there’s more” sales screens, I find out they actually charge like $5 a piece for these book summaries (might as well just buy the book) and only give you one “free” one a day (that you’re still paying like $50 a year for). This app feels like a timeshare presentation. Great concept, but spammy untrustworthy feeling execution.
