Wolt’s handling of a recent food safety complaint was remarkably poor.
I received an order from Silk Road in San Ġwann containing chicken that tasted clearly spoiled… rancid, sour, and immediately concerning from the first bites. This was not a matter of preference or seasoning. The issue was the unmistakable taste and smell of meat that appeared unfit for consumption.
What was genuinely disappointing was Wolt’s response.
After reporting the issue, support relayed the restaurant’s position that “taste is subjective,” and initially declined responsibility on that basis. That is an extraordinary standard to apply to a potential spoilage complaint involving poultry. Food safety concerns are not resolved through semantic evasions about personal taste.
Even more absurdly, after dismissing the complaint as “subjective,” support later requested photographs of the food… despite the fact that spoiled chicken often looks visually normal. The problem was detectable through taste and smell, exactly as many spoilage cases are.
The most troubling part was the lack of discernment. At no point did Wolt appear to seriously engage with the distinction between “I disliked this dish” and “this meat may be unsafe.” Relaying dismissive responses from restaurants without critical mediation undermines confidence in the platform entirely.
Delivery apps depend on trust. Customers are placing faith not only in convenience, but in basic standards of safety and accountability. In this case, Wolt failed both.
I will continue using the platform selectively, but this experience significantly lowered my confidence in how legitimate food safety complaints are handled.

Not using a thermal bag and food came very cold and they lied and said they he was in a motorcycle but he was in a car. He didn’t use a thermal bag and you refusing to refund. Worst service ever.

They lost my order and tried to blame it on me and told me no there is nothing I can do. Worst experience ever do not order wolt. It also always takes so much longer

Customer support catastrophe
I ordered food… driver shows up, gives my order to someone else, they refund me my order with in-app credits. Ok not the end of the world… until I try to order again, gets declined. Customer support then tells me I have multiple accounts and that breaks their terms and agreements. I made my account minutes prior to ordering my food, I don’t have multiple accounts. They then tell me my account is blocked because of it and I can’t get a refund. So they oretty much robbed me.

literally delivered my food to someone else without checking the order number and refused to give me a refund.

And just like that I can no longer from my regular restaurants. By severely limiting the delivery range, you are now useless , and I will cancel and delete this app. Too bad I can’t give zero stars.

Countless times has my family ordered a long list of items from a grocery store that were supposed to be available. We then submit the order in Wolt and our money is taken. Then when the driver starts to come to us, we get an alert that some of them items we’re not available. And that we have to wait 1 to 3 days to get our money back. Awful
A very ridiculous app
This app needs lots of improvement. They still have not fixed their payment bug. Every single card I’ve tried to use has failed. The app delivers a message that says: failed to process card issue card. This is not a user issue!! Wolt-this is your problem that needs to be fixed so customers can comfortably use your service. I have been a very consistent and long time buyer. However, I’m removing this app after today and never spending a dime until they resolve this frustrating inconvenience.
App couldn’t accept payments
Suddenly the app started telling me that the payment couldn’t be processed despite that I tried many cards and they were all working. The customer support didn’t provide any help.
Wolt in Germany with 0 service
I ordered Knuspr Main from 6-7pm and I waited for the whole night. Nothing was delivered actually but order delivered on the iPhone. Nothing compensation, no sorry and no service. Ask mercy to god if you want to go to heaven.

Имейте ввиду если вам доставят еду через 2 часа после заказа (хотя отмечалось, что 40-50 минут) вам еще скажут, что по их регламенту, за то что ваша еда полностью остывшая или уже даже не пригодная для употребления , вы не сможете сделать возврат или получить компенсацию. Имейте ввиду купили это ваши проблемы как вам ее доставят и когда.

I ordered and had some dude get mad he couldn’t find my location. He finally did then cussed me out in German. I reached out to them twice. Then got some corporate response of them saying we apologize for the inconvenience. And they’d address it. Not sure what that does for me. But ok.

The latest update has seriously damaged what used to be an easy, intuitive interface. It now feels like Wolt is trying to push non food shopping onto customers when most of us are here for one reason: food.
Wolt was built around ordering meals quickly and simply burgers, fries, late night cravings not browsing for random shopping items. The new direction makes the app harder to use and less focused on what made it great in the first place.
I’ve placed thousands of orders over the years, but if this shift continues and the update isn’t reversed, I’ll seriously consider switching platforms. Please listen to your core customers and bring the focus back to food.

Delivering time is terrible
I ordered food from a McDonalds that was two blocks away and was told the wait time was 30 minutes. Well when the wait time got to 19 minutes it stopped moving acting as if it would still take 19 minutes when it took almost a hour. This seems like a recurring event in these German apps and feels like scams
Absolutely useless
Imagine, you place an order. A courier accepts the order and decided to add it to their queue but then delivers all their previous orders before your own. So you watch your estimated delivery fluctuates back and forth. Unfortunately you’ve already tipped this courier and support is nonexistent so you can’t change that option. If you want to wait 3 hours for your food to be delivered, you’ve come to the right app. If you want things done in a timely manner and with actual live support, try Uber Eats instead.

I had to wait over 2h for an order , the courier took multiple orders at the same time and he was staying in one location. Support didnt help and they only said sorry instead of fixing anything .
Late order, no support
Order took over 2.5 hours to be delivered, and was over 1.5 hours late from the estimated time. Tried to contact support but was met with no response or an ai chatbot that only provided automated responses. As of writing this review, order has still not been delivered.
Horrible service in Azerbaijan
They delay the delivery, customer supports works horribly. Never responses on time. They ignore complaints. It is getting worse and worse. I deleted the app and never going to use that again. Lost a client with over 1500 orders die to poor operations and customer value

I am extremely disappointed with the service from Wolt Austria. I placed an order specifically to have items delivered to my door, yet they failed to deliver part of my order.
When I contacted support, their solution was to ask me to go to the store myself to exchange or pick up the items. This is completely unacceptable. The entire point of paying for a delivery app is to avoid having to go out-especially when it’s freezing outside. If I wanted to go to the store, I wouldn't have paid for the service and the delivery fees.
Poor logistics and even worse customer service. I won't be using this app again if this is how they handle their own mistakes.

I was charged out of nowhere. Contacted the support but they didn’t help. They responded with the same text twice. Contacting them is a disaster on its behalf. I used to be a Wolt user but after this I deleted my account.

They are not fair whatsoever and a huge monopoly, prioritize money over everything. Creates lack of trust for customers and always do wrong. Once upon a time, it was the most incredible, and the last year they became horrible.
Always delayed
The delivery is always delayed because the courier has other orders to deliver before mine. As a result the food becomes cold and also in cases also damaged because it had other packages weighing on it. I find this unacceptable! Also the customer support is very unprofessional and doesn’t take ownership. Not recommended!

i sent and email and a complaint to their agents, their response is like an robot without trying to fix something, i was an old client but im not gonna use it anymore with this customer care.
Permanent time delays
Every time when I pleased an order delivery time rise for two time. Application told you that time delivery is 20 min but after payment and accepted an order time change to 45 min. And you don have chance to cancel order according time delay. This happens every time.

The lady gave me the wrong order then came back and stepped foot into my apartment and got angry at me for her mistake and was just extremely rude.
