I used to love this app. When I was really stuck on a word it helped me find what I needed. I haven’t been playing word games lately. Life has gotten too busy. Today I wanted to help a friend solve a puzzle so I pulled up word finder. The app has changed so much. It used to be easy to use. Much more complicated. So complicated I couldn’t figure it. Deleting it.

After a few searches ads come up and there’s no way to dismiss them and use the app. Totally unusable. Don’t bother.

Your board has MISPRINTS ON IT SO YOU MAKE WORDS ON THE WRONG LETTERS which is NO HELP AT ALL! Please fix the boards so they read the CORRECT LETTERS, not TYPOS!!! They are no help if they are inaccurate! It is SO frustrating! I love WWF and appreciate your offers to help but NOT IF THEY ARE INACCURATE!!! I’d rather have NO help than your infuriating, half baked “help” with typos! 🤬

Deceptive Ads
This app has the most deceptive and misleading advertising I have ever seen. They hide the exit buttons and make it almost impossible to get out of the ad. They also show timers that supposedly tell you when ad is going to end only to have it rest to a new clock at the end. You now spend more time watching ads than you do using the application. I wish there were regulators I could find to report them to.

It does what it supposed to but I’m deleting anyway. There is an ad every single time you ask for a word and sometimes there is an ad BEFORE you ask for a word. Not only that, there ads can sometimes be soooo long. It’s really not worth the aggravation.
Who Ruined the App?
Used to be good now it’s unusable. Something is running in the background causing lag. It also refreshes on its own while you are typing causing your input to be lost. How frustrating.

Disappointed in missing functionality
I love your desktop app! I use it to help make crossword puzzles. The “all games” option allows me to do this. But for no reason that option does not exist or is not easily visible in the iOS app version. Similarly, you do not have to select a word length on the desktop version. I would like that option here as well. What is missing from both that I would enjoy is the ability to necessarily include or exclude certain letters from different positions in the word, either in absolute terms “4th letter in six letter word must be n” or relative “penultimate letter cannot be p” e.g.
Obviously that could be an advanced setting, even something I’d pay a premium for (but like $15/year at most)

I have been using this app for years and all of a sudden today I need coins or I have to watch an add to view all words available. No thank you. There are too many other options out there. Delete!
Not liking it
Whatever changes you have made these last couple of months I do not like them. The game even locked me out of playing most of the time.

I don’t know what has happened, but this app has really gone downhill. It does not show point values to the word and does not recognize all of available words that words with friends recognizes . I have had to try another app because this one has gotten so bad and worthless.. somebody please get some programmers and get this app back to where it used to be!!!!!
They took away the best feature
My app just updated and they took away the ability to get a list of words formed from a grouping of letters. They replaced it with “today’s crossword answers” which is not why I use this app.

Doesn’t suggest legitimate words
I use the unscramble feature to help with the NYT Spelling Bee game. After using Word Finder for a couple of weeks at least 50% of the suggested words are not even legitimate words! Major fail.

Well after using this for a few years, I’ve like it, it was helpful, but now that you’ve gone to subscription based, like every other app, I’m am going to say, that I am not your personal bank account. And I I’ll not use your app any longer. Byee.

Banner ads at the bottom block enter button
They changed and put an ad at the bottom of the screen so you can't use the app because you click on the add. The add which you will never buy because it's a scam game and people hate it. It shows puzzles but the game has nothing like the ads

Most of the words suggested aren’t really words. Doesn’t suggest longer words very well, like it’s limited in its ability to provide words with multiple repeat letters. Finally deleted the app as it’s more frustrating than helpful.

Difficult to use. And it’s not advanced so you can use partial words to expound
Unscramble - spelling bee
This app helps only a little. There are never to rarely words over 6 letters, never panagrams (words using all the letters), and many of the words are obscure and not in the spelling be at all. It is only useful the get you started.
Functionality is fine - Ads are very annoying!
This is one of the most annoying apps I have. An ad pops up every other set of letters I put in. But what’s most annoying is that the ads take forever to sit through and you can’t ever click out of them. I end up closing the app after every single word search and reopening. I’m about ready to stop using it.
Pointless without Landscape support
This is nice alternative to the website version that had far to many mentally scaring images from ads. Yet this app doesnt support landscape mode as iOS and iPadOs apps are meant to work in all sitautions. Please update the app to support landscape orientation.
Lastly the “legnth” advanced serach option is missing.

Too many overly invasive ads.
Tricky placement of buttons to trick you into hitting ads. They last way too long. They repeat obnoxious promotion I have no interest in.
