Used to be a life saver, now it’s complete trash
Used to work amazingly. Even worked when I moved houses. Transition was seamless and it was great. Autounlock and lock based on my location to be able to walk into my house and know it was locked otherwise, was amazing. I never thought about my door keys, ever.
The last 2-3 months though, it’s been absolute trash. *refuses* to acknowledge my location or proximity, will not unlock and then when I have to go in the app to do it myself, it takes forever to respond. I’ve reset the device, the outlet receiver, the app.. I’ve set a new boundary/location that would work for my house, set new automations, I’ve replaced the batteries, recalibrated the lock… everything is updated to current and even when sitting in front of my unlocked door to my house after arriving, the app will claim it “found no errors” with my automations… absolutely nothing has fixed this. I’ve sent multiple “support logs” but apparently that doesn’t get you help, it just sends info to the developers and they explicitly tell you they won’t contact you. Please, for the love of god, fix this before I rip this thing off my door and throw it away.

Going to switch to another system as I have had nothing but trouble with these devices since they came out.

Constantly stops showing live stream and says “Loading” forever
As the title says, it constantly stops showing the live stream and says “Loading” but will never resolve itself. I have to back out, click the camera I want to view, and hope that it doesn’t do it again. Chances are it will do it again at least two more times before I can actually view live stream.
To make matters worse, it does this also when I view the SD card. Same issue, same manner, just as infuriating. Get your **** together, Wyze!!

Cameras are good, their AI is terrible
The cameras work well, and the app is friendly. Their “smart detections” which are supposed to identify what is being see is horrible. It has been for years and there has been zero improvement. It thinks everything is a person, including dogs, cats, wasps, tree limbs moving, shadows. It doesn’t matter their AI cannot figure it out. I have been using the cameras for years and have never seen a wasp identified as an insect. Always a person. Everything is like that. I have worked with their support twice with no resolution or improvement. Seems to be getting worse actually.

not free anymore. i cant even see alert videos without subscribing. tapo is way better and cheaper. You changed from your initial “no subscription required” to pay for every little options if you want to use the camera’s full options that I paid for. whats the use of buying your camera if i cant use the options without paying? and your camera is not even cheap. tapo is cheaper and free to use options without restrictions like you guys.
Stole two years worth of fees
I cancelled my subscription in 2024, but Wyze continued to quietly charge me for 2 years. When I contacted them, they said because of "systems limitations" they couldn't refund me. Don't waste your money.
Annoying
I used to love the products, but when I updated to the A1 bulbs, they have been giving me issues. The first time I replaced my bulbs the lights will come on when I didn’t even program it to come on, so I order and replacement them. They replacement bulbs still doing the same thing. If they can fix this issue, it’ll great. I loved the products but lately it is not functioning as it should, even Customer Service has gotten slow.

Used to work great. Now after viewing feed for 5s it gets stuck in “loading…”
Don’t but Subscription Only
The app feature sucks just because they want that subscription after you buy the cam. Navigating records saved in local SD is made purposely hard and frustrating just so you can push that subscription button. I wish I kept the receipt for this pc of junk so I can go buy Me EUFY Brand . Stay away yall! Better choices out there! it’s sad that I know where/how this company was started. Looks like they doing the community wrong and want to just profit. All the AI recognition feature also comes only with subscription.
Garbage
I have been with them from the start and have 10 cameras of just about every version. The app is absolute garbage. When I live view any of my cameras the app freezes after a few seconds and needs to be forced closed and reopened. It has been this way through multiple updates and they just refuse to correct it. It's at the point now where it freezes and needs forced closed several times before I can actually live view. I also own a few of their older cameras that will not work with a memory card which was also a known problem that they never addressed. Such a shame. They were a great camera and app years ago.
Cameras and vacuum cleaner
1. We bought a vacuum and it was/is great, so we purchased a second WYZE model WCLVAC, 400W Cordless vacuum with all the attachments. It was HORRIBLE! After only about a month of only occasional use, the charge lasted, LITERALLY, for about ONE MINUTE. And yes, we would charge it up until it was 100%, and watched it go to ZERO in one minute of use. Ridiculous! It was of NO USE! We discarded it. A waste of money. 2. We purchased 5 first generation outdoor, wireless cameras for our house and they worked well except that two no longer take a charge and they refused to pick up the internet- they are useless. We’re not especially happy: The second vacuum was a total waste of money and time. Some of our cameras are generally ok but we’ve lost 40% of them in 2 years. And now they freeze too often. We also bought quite a number of the same cameras, a second set, for our church and 1.many just stopped working, some we inconveniently OFTEN have to get up on a ladder to unplug and replug to reset, some went dead, and some lost their speaker function-we hear nothing and can only see. They worked great for about one year. Now many, in both places, just freeze way too often. It does not encourage to buy more.

I can’t rewind or see my last events, even paying $30 for the Unlimited pro cam subscription, it’s insane.. I’ve tried everything, deleting the app too many times back and forth, checking everything in the app and still can’t see anything.. 👎🏻
Latest update can’t log in
With the latest update i’m unable to log back in. If choosing to SKIP passkeys- It keeps taking me back to the Get Started screen!!

These cameras are a waste of money now. They won’t keep connected to WiFi, and my WiFi is great.

I’m glad I didn’t pay the year subscription up front and I’m only out the price of the junk camera. Dam thing goes offline every 30min. Straight to the trash can. JUNK PRODUCT.

Cheap camera, poor reporting Whats it sees
The price was right at $25 per camera, but of the four I bought, only two are still working.
The security notifications are terrible: every time a tree moves in the wind, I get a notice, usually the shadow gets reported as a vehicle, possibly because of the silver grill on my deck. And it can’t seem to differentiate between a person and a moth.

Doesn’t work
I’ve loved the products but I lost internet connection once and the Wyze hub never worked after that. And it’s impossible to get help.
Buggy
I’ve been a WYZE user for many years, and the app has been slowly going downhill. The biggest issue seems to be loading detected instances. These should be the simplest as they are recorded moments that are then played back.
Weak cámara
Unfortunately, this camera has not worked well for our coastal home. It constantly loses signal, and there have been times when it stopped working for days. I tried contacting customer service for help, but they were unable to resolve the issue. I was very disappointed with both the product’s reliability and the support provided.
SD cards on all cameras stopped working
I love what the cameras can do, but all of a sudden in over 21 cams my SD cards no longer record. Probably due to a firmware update. I’ve switched out half to new cards with zero working after properly formatting them - might be a time ri change to a more expensive brand

Garbage I can’t count how many times the camera and or accessories failed to work. And the help is more than useless. Buy anything else you will be happier. BTW I have owned Wyze products for more than five years and have been replacing them when my budget permits.

This app and the camera were fantastic when we first purchased! Now the camera is almost always frozen, the app never loads, and I hardly even use it anymore. Nothing changed outside of the app. I implore anyone looking to get a camera to explore other options!
Why am I paying for a subscription?
I don’t get Animated Alerts anymore, called in and your agent says that it never had that feature, and I had a glitch, but your website says it does provide that feature. The cameras are however easy to setup
Camera view freezes regularly
Disappointed in overall performance of the cams. Slow to get connected on my highest possible high speed internet or when traveling and checking from the road.

Wyze doorbell v2 slowmo
Hi everyone. I’ve been using Wyze cameras for years without any major issues.
But when I bought Wyze doorbell v2 I got them!!!!
Live stream from 2k camera looks like slowmo 1 fps and stops after 3-4 seconds. Bought subscription - same!!!! With micro as card - same!!!! No resolutions from support. I really disappointed.

will not stay connected
…as so many others have reported, no matter what router or setup or version as wyze support suggests, these multiple cameras will not stay connected, will not confidently record and am concerned about security.
Wyze Plugs Not Dependable
Every time I’ve had a power outage I’ve had to run out and buy new plugs because the old ones cannot be reprogrammed. Not happy with their product.

I know it’s not recommend to swipe an app away because it uses more battery when it opens but this app is so buggy you just have to do so. Overall all of Wyze products are a case of “you buy cheap you get cheap”
Pop up view and loading
Worst camera. Every time I go to pop up view, it shows a loading page and camera never resumes unless I go back to the app. Constantly does this even if I restart camera and app. Waste of time
What happened?
Have had one of the v4 cams for a couple years now and it was always reliable. Recently got a second one. In the couple months following, the app suddenly became near unusable. The live feed works but when looking at the recordings it constantly gets stuck in loading and when it does load the part that I’m trying to check is almost always messed up with dropped frames. Was waiting to see if there would be any updates for this but it’s been over a month of nothing and so now I’m writing this review. Going to start looking for replacements. Shame because I did appreciate how this one didn’t pressure a ton to use subscriptions.
