Trying to watch World Cup games on the road but suddenly getting error code and not being able to watch anymore.

Excessive Ads while Chromecasting
When streaming through chromecast it is impossible to rewind at all without getting a minute of ads. Most of the time the content just resumes in the same place you were before you rewound and watched the ads. Streaming directly on a device like a phone doesn’t have nearly as many ads or bugs.
Lag and crashing
This app is terrible I’ve done every troubleshooting step and it’s still bad. Freezing up buffering forever. Everything. Please fix this

In order to watch a game while traveling , the system wants me to connect to my home WiFi. If I could do that I wouldn’t need to stream!! How ridiculous!!

I guess I never sent this review but I am experiencing the same issues once again.. So…What’s up Xfinity? I have been having issues since Tuesday, November 25, 2025 with this app on my iPhone, iPad and Roku stick. The app will only open. None of the links work on any of the pages - Home, Browse, Search, etc.. Preview photos don’t load. I have done everything suggested by Xfinity Assistant. Roku screen states having issues loading channel. Both iPhone and iPad just stay in search mode. Please check on this issue. Live in Jacksonville, Florida on Northside. Are a longtime customer. I miss streaming!
Top events are always blocked
It’s not a licensing issue, it’s Xfinity / Comcast being jerks. Every time there a big event and you want to watch it on the app, a message comes up in-home only. It happens on Fox, CBS, NBC, and ABC. There are no contractual issues for over the air stations.
It’s one of the main reasons I will be leaving as soon as fiber is available in my neighborhood.

Impression after 6 months of Comcast service and streaming
In the temporary house I’m living in Comcast is the only service available. I’ve had both Cox and most recently Verizon FOiS. When I leave this house I hope to never have Comcast again. The service including streaming is absolutely terrible. It is constantly hanging, DVR fails in the middle of a program, etc. I can’t get back to FIoS soon enough. As soon I move out of here at the end of 2026.

Disappointment
This entire app demonstrates it is clearly an afterthought. Streams are laggy, freeze routinely, and top out at like 480p. Feels like something out of the mid 2000s.

Why would I want this app if I’m at home? I would just turn on my TV. I don’t like how you have to be connected to your home internet to watch the show you want. It’s supposed to be for anytime, anywhere.

Why would I not be allowed to watch something on here if outside of my home. If I was at home I wouldn’t be using the app. I’d watch it on my tv. You think the point of this app would be to watch cable where it’s not available to me.
Recent bad function
Something is wrong with the app over the last week or so (early June '26). The app is very slow to load. After the app loads, the listing section ("Live TV") is slow or fails to load at all. On the Home "screen," the "tiles" for particular channels fail to load or there is no response at all when clicked. What's happened????
Good when works
Have had multiple issues with half of the channel lineup disappearing! Of course it is the half that has all the shows I want to watch. Have tried calling and going into store and no one can figure out problem. Last time I gave up and was going to cancel and randomly restored. Now been going on for last month and so frustrated not getting something I pay for!! No good support or help with app
Not recording the channel I want
I tried to record the New York Yankees on channel 3019 which is YES network ( extra innings broadcast from New York). And for some reason it records the game on whatever channel it feels like. Yesterday it was TBS, day before it was FS1 and today it decided to record the game from the the guardians broadcast. I’m not sure why it does this but I am annoyed and so tired of it. Not sure why it’s so difficult to just have one channel be recorded everyday time a game is played ?????????

Doesn’t understand hockey overtime can go for hours
For some reason they limit you to 30 minutes extra of recording. That barely gets you into the first overtime.

Im cancelling my cable. Your app on the Apple TV never works properly, the image freezes constantly and the audio will still play, it also freezes and restarts at random while watching tv. This is an app issue, not an issue with my internet or my wifi, and it has been like this for years. I don’t understand why Apple allows these deficient apps. Xfinity is trash.
