They have permanently deleted my inbox twice now and their response is don’t do what you’ve been doing for twenty years (do any of you reading this not know how to delete an email? Didn’t think so.) and we’re not going to fix what we broke. They want people to convert our Comcast accounts to them? Nope. Not when they can’t even fix a problem where if you delete any emails from your file folders it also wipes away your inbox. Find another service.

ETA: more incompetence received via email (24 hours after my original review):
“If your account has had no activity for 365 days, then the account is deactivated. We communicate this a few times which includes sending you an email to your alternative email account, so make sure that is updated. If you need help reinstating, contact our CC team at {xxxx}. They have the tools to help with these issues. Hope this helps!”
First, my account is not deactivated and if it was I wouldn’t have been able to access it to delete any emails stored in my folders or to know I lost all my inbox - you’d think that was obvious, right? Apparently not. Second, the site they want me to direct my issues to is the site that told me they can’t help me and they weren’t going to try to. Third, there is absolutely NO WAY to reach a human to explain to them what they have done other than to request a restore of my inbox which I’ve don’t five times. I have bills and invoices as well as other urgent documents that I desperately need and they don’t care. Use the other big name free email service if you care about actually being able to use it.

Constant paid upgrade requirement even when masses of attachments have been deleted, and it is impossible to transfer out any emails that are in folders! Unethical, fraudulent!

Every other email is an advertisement. It’s so annoying & the only way to get rid of them is to buy a subscription. What a scam. HATE IT!!!! I didn’t choose Yahoo Mail, I was forced to change. So MAD.

Perpetual Disappointment
Every time they change the user interface, they make it worse. Now, every time you scroll down the email, the delete button is hidden in a dynamic menu bar that disappears, so you are constantly forced to scroll up and down just right to delete an email. Change for the sake of change is bad business.

Latest update, my inbox attempts to figure out which emails I would find important. Groups the others into a smaller trash section in the middle of the non trash emails?! When I go to delete them, they don’t disappear. Which is flipping terrifying and 100% on point for a massive tech company. I just want basic stuff to work. Oh well, that’s asking too much.

A mess!
Cannot get emails in the correct order. Try to set my primary email as the first email but unable to do it. Now trying to sign out and get rid of this mess.

We were switched from Cox mail and all my emails that were archived for 2023 and 2024 have disappeared. Absolutely despise yahoo mail! Ads for dating services keep popping up! Why? Do not want or need to have these unwanted emails coming to my inbox!
Disappointment strikes again
Every time the UX is modified on Yahoo Mail, it gets worse. This happened in the last two years with an update of the online desktop interface, and has now repeated itself with the iOS app’s new interface. The disappearing control bar is infuriating. Now I can’t delete, go back, or forward an email without scrolling just so in order to retrieve the menu. Suffice it to say I’m looking for other email options at this point. Change for the sake of change is a bad way to do business.

I just looked at a couple emails I sent over the last few months from my phone and realize for some reason the apps remove the paragraphs I put in, so the greeting, body, and closing are in one mess of a giant paragraph. This is so embarrassing.
