Wanted to scan my Id for claude, so i downloaded the app because I do not have a webcam. Took so long to scan my ID and then when i tried to verify for Claude the website redirects me to the app which gives me a timeout notice. The website apparently does not correlate at all to the app. Also it asked me to install an authenticator(which i did not want because i already had one for the sight) and the ONLY two buttons on the screen that worked was the options to download the authenticator.

Nobody wants this
WE DO NOT WANT DIGITAL ID’s… they are invasive, and overbearing. Now if I want to verify my age I need to give out legal documents??? No! Absolutely not we cannot and will not stand for this and something will be done about it. Get a grip on reality people and realize they want these to control us and the media we see. Any foreign media is apparently too much for us fully grown citizens. We are tired of this and need to make a change.

No verification code
Verification code never came. Number was right. Contry code was right. But no otp. Tried like 30-50 times.
I don’t get the code
I’ve been trying to open an account for hours, I put my phone number and they never send me the authentication code.
Refuses to verify my license.
I've uploaded my North Carolina permit multiple times, both as a license as well as an ID, and everytime I do, I see "please try again with a valid document". As far as I'm aware, this is a valid document. The past times I've tried, I haven't been able to auto capture the back, only the front. After cleaning my phone lens, I was finally able to capture both sides but the same problem arose with it not being a "valid document". I've submitted a report to Yoti and so far it's been a day with no response, despite them saying they operate 24 hours and that I should have one within 3 hours.
Trash App
Genuinely unbearable to use, it says my number is invalid, and then on the web it doesn’t read my ID or my face.

This is the most poorly designed app and interface I have ever dealt with. When trying to log out of my account it literally will not let me. Not only that, but on their website you also can’t log in easily at all. It has options for a business login but that’s about it. Need much more time and attention to detail with their design. Now I just gave them my personal information for nothing. Absolutely useless.

I tried to verify my age 5 times, and all 5 times it kept saying that I don’t look old enough or that my age is “close to 18”. I am TWENTY THREE YEARS OLD, I sent in my drivers license and passport that shows my date of birth in full view, but it’s still not enough. Why do you need an AI to tell me how old I am? I have a baby face but I turn 24 in February 2026. This is so frustrating, I can’t verify my age anywhere cause I apparently look too young.

i’d give it stars in the genuine negatives if i was able to.. i never got past the first screen of the app before misclicking the continue button without ever changing my birth year and now after more than 24 hours or zero support im still completely barred from the app because they default the year to the current one and give no confirmation prior to just locking your device out of the app.. genuinely awful practices with no customer service whatsoever
Worthless App
Constantly asks for permission to recover account. Tells me my birthdate is incorrect. This app is completely worthless and unusable

This app does not work. It fails to scan, asks for camera access when it already has it, and I cannot even make an account
Avoid
If you read this then Yoti transfer your ID documents to servers in India for manual verification, it’s in their privacy policy. So they are exporting to your ID documents to a country that has a problem with data protection, identity theft and scammers stealing from victims. How does that sit right with you as a consumer?

Do yourself a favor and don’t download its a waste of time and the data collection its crazy just for them to take forever to verify anything specially if you need it right away

Trying to scan an ID is just an endless loop. I scan and it says “we’re gathering information” and then goes back to the beginning. This isn’t an error on the scan not being blurry because I saw that error. It’s the most basic function of this app and it can’t do it.

If im just being honest here, and i know were all thinking of it so ill just say it. The developers of this app should try sticking a .45 in their mouth.

They say it will be fast and easy. Still waiting DAYS for them to complete the request. Use something else. Zero support response either after multiple attempts.

Simple potential app but It’s failing on purpose to gather more info is my guess. Don’t trust it.
Worthless
I went through the hassle of verifying my age, and it did me absolutely no good. The site that wanted me to verify my age I couldn’t get back to it, and there was no link to connect to. It’s just a waste of time and given my data away tofor nothing.

You’re the reason why age verification is being implemented on most major websites and apps in the USA and UK, now we have to give our IDs to companies because of you, I doubt anyone else likes you now, but if they do, then I am struggling to see why

They took my drivers license scans and then just told me it is under review due to a high volume, NO ETA, nothing. I needed verification right away, but looks like I gave it to another fraud site.

I just downloaded the app and can’t even create an account like I can’t even verify my phone number! It keeps giving me an error message.
Can’t even get past account creation
I start the whole process, then it prompts me to verify my phone number, I type in the code and now it says there’s a technical error and to try again- when I redo it, it then says “this number is already being processed” I KNOW I JUST DID IT AND YOU TOLD ME THERE WAS A TECHNICAL ERROR AND TO TRY AGAIN. Now it won’t let me do anything. I have never had a problem with an app before I even got to use it.
Frustrating Experience
While the intent of simplifying age verification is admirable, my experience with this app was continually frustrating. The scanner for capturing a passport image was unsuccessful for over 10 tries even using studio lighting and a lightbox. Chip scanning for a new US passport did not work, leading to manual review being needed. Manual review of my age verification submission was initially delayed due to backlog and then cancelled without completion.
Terrible interface
Followed all instructions, enabled camera in settings, still can’t access anything using yoti. I’ll just not use a website that uses yoti, anymore.

I use more than one device, phone, tablet ,laptop, and the idea of that is that you can move from one to another to keep doing things. But not with Yodie it doesn’t work on tablets or desktops so for me it was a wasted download

I’m only using this app because of another app requiring me to but I got all my info on there and now when I try to open it I get booted out immediately. So probably a scam I’d be careful if you decide to use it
Not useful
This app takes far longer than a minute to set up as mentioned in the beginning of the process. If there’s an immediate need for identification this app isn’t useful. After uploading an ID you have to wait for them to approve/add the age details.
Can’t read an Id
So after a surreal number of failed attempts to scan my face it unsurprisingly also struggled to recognize my ID
Then everything was successful… just one problem, the OCR (Optical Character Recognition) which is the bit that reads your ID had MISREAD my NAME and of course there’s no way to change that.
“Customer Support” suggested very helpful that I just try again…

Doesn’t work with my beard
I have tried more than a dozen times and you app will not work with my beard.

DO NOT USE!!
The scanners do not work well. Then once by a miracle you are able to get it to scan it asks to scan more info- like a chip on your passport. Then when that doesn’t work it will tell you it is ‘verifying’ your documents. And that due to demand, it will take much longer than usual. But of course you will be left with no way to take back your identification you just sent them. You will end the process feeling like you were violated in the worst way.
Deleted right away
App is useless once you get to the photo id verification. Probably took a photo of my id a few times and kept getting a session expired. No matter how much I tried. Deleted my account and the app right away
