Be careful
I wasn’t very impressed with the Yuno app during the free trial, but I decided to give it another chance by signing up for a one-month subscription. Instead, I was charged $80 for a full year, which I did not intend to purchase. After contacting both Apple and Yuno support, each directed me to the other for a refund, leaving the issue unresolved. Overall, this has been a frustrating experience, and I feel misled by an app I didn’t find particularly useful.
Will not notify you before you free trials ends
It says in app that they’ll notify you before your free trial ends, I WAS NOT NOTIFIED, they will not refund the 80$
Proudly not using AI voices but still using AI art 👎🏼👎🏼
They hire voice actors but not artists to do art work? Or even use famous art seen in museums? They AI generate scenes instead. Can’t support that.

This is a paid app. Under the guise of being free. Unusable unless you commit to a “free trial” for two weeks and then will start to automatically take payments monthly which can cost up to 80$ a year.

It asks for your email forcing you to setup an account BEFORE telling you it’s a subscription.

Update: There is no way to contact this developer, as they requested in their response. Their website has no contact info. I was happy to work with them on switching to the monthly plan, but now I’m escalating this to full refund through Apple Services.
Scam. I was NOT expecting that chunk of change. I would happily have paid for the $12/mo or whatever after the trial. This is an app my kid used to learn about art and wheels a few minutes a week. Being forced into the highest “Yuno Plus” plan is an absolute scam.

I did the free trial of this app and I made sure to cancel the subscription and even though it was already canceled it's still charged me $85 for the yearly subscription and now I can't get a hold of anyone and I can't get my money back. Not to mention the app itself is pretty useless and would never ever be worth that much.

They make you create a login and sign up for a plan before you even get to try the app. I’ll use Google random search and Wikipedia for my fun instead. I’m not giving anyone my credit it out first

I tried Yuno for roughly an hour and believe I got a 99% score on just about everything. Stated another way, it didn’t tell me anything I didn’t already know. So unless you slept through every history class, have never turned on the news or read a newspaper, or are 12 years old, it is a waste of time and almost insulting.
When you advertise for such a stupid App, make sure you mention how much you need to pay each month.

I downloaded this app thinking I was going to learn more about MY history. Not true.. they only teach about what’s on the surface (Martin Luther King ex..) It talks so much about “Good” white history but not about the blacks that actually stood up for what was right. I rate this a ZERO for black people.

It’s only a free trial and then $80 a year. Super annoying quiz style on the most basic knowledge. Way better more fun ways to learn.
Great when working
I was loving this app- bought the year subscription. Then, days later a pop up to buy a subscription pops up and won’t let me exit without buying again. I already purchased as verified in my Apple subscriptions. I paid already for the year and now can’t even use the app because it won’t let me advance without purchasing again. Tried to find a way to message customer service but there’s no option to contact for issues. Buyer beware-great app until until kicks you out after purchasing for the year

Great idea terrible execution
Its like this “the declaration of independence was signed in 1776” next slide “what year was the declaration of independence signed? *4 choices* It’s so lame. What a great idea done so poorly. Just a one sentence fact and a 1 question quiz asking you exactly what it just told you.

Had me great an account go through everything just to tell me I couldn’t even use the app unless I payed. If I was told that from the beginning I never would’ve signed up. Apps are so money hu get it’s ridiculous

I had looked up online to see they had a free version and I wanted to try it. I downloaded it to give it a try and now I see I was charged 90.00 for this. I never saw a price or selected a yearly subscription. I don’t even know if I like it or if I’ll use it.
App for babies?
First of all I think the system and UI is good, but who the actual heck is even learning from this?? It’ll tell you a fact and then the very next slide is a question about it. I struggle to even call it a question at this point. Most of the time the matching questions are arranged side by side with the corresponding answer. This app would be great if the user could dial in a unique level of difficulty so they can actually be challenged and learn.
Ridiculous Price!
If your draw is to say this is a substitute for TikTok and other free social medias, then it should be free like those you are comparing it to. Find something that cost $99, then show me how it is better.

It’s so slow asking basic questions 3-4 times. It won’t allow you to skip to more advanced knowledge. Also only offers small bits of info. Example, it stated 12 of 13 colonies signed the constitution, but doesn’t say why only 12, or which colony didn’t.

Automatically charged me 80$
It wasn’t bad, but I was on the fence. I decided not to cancel right away, thinking it would just charge me for another month. Instead, it automatically renewed me for an annual premium subscription at $80. What a scam.
Misleading
I thought the idea of this app was awesome. It offered me a free two week trial which I thought I’d try. NOPE. It charged me for a full year which is $79.99. No free trial. I see other reviews having the same issue. The developers need to look into this.

Just repeats the same info
Maybe I need to advance more but it keeps asking the same questions in different ways. What country borders the US to the north? Canada. Which two countries border the us? Mexico and? You answer one question with 334 million us population and the next one was a mother asking if the us has at least 300 million in population. Not grabbing my interest.
Cost?
I have to say that any app that refuses to disclose its pricing or make it obviously clear how much it costs is trash from the beginning. What are these people hiding?
“Replace social media” but isn’t free
All the ads I see for apps like this one say that you should use these apps to expand your knowledge and have more productive time on your phone, which is a great idea. But if you truly want to replace social media, you need to make the app free. Nobody has to pay for Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, X, Reddit, the list goes on.
Misleading Marketing
Ad would have you believe the app contains engaging video content, instead it’s just a series of audio shorts. Deeply disappointing.
Can’t sign in
I would love to have given us a great rating, but I’ve yet to try it. I can’t get past making a sign in and password. It just continually tells me to try again later.
Can’t download episodes
I would love this app if you could download the episodes. I have been paying for it for a while now but I can barely get time to listen to it due to never having service at work. If they added this feature it would be the perfect app.

I am such a history fein. Once I found this app I was head over heels and it made it fun! I love doing my little lessons at the end of the night and just activating my brain. However, I’m very disappointed and displeased to see the use of AI in most of the photos used for the “Listen” category. AI is ruining our planet and I feel like that’s kind of ironic for a history app.

Don’t rely on the email they claim that they will send 2 days before they charge you. They did not send it. I checked spam and trash. Be sure to set your own reminder.

And it’s generally easy to pass a quiz without reading simply by picking the answer that doesn’t fit the rest. The matching sections of zero quality control. For instance: Match the following number to correct letter.
1. Apples 2. Oranges
3. Pears
A. Fruit B. Grow on trees C. Are consumed by humans.
Now, each one only has one answer. And if you get them wrong, whoops. Can they all be correct? Yep. Can you report the confusion? Nope. Clearly thrown together by AI with no human oversight. Cash grab, poor info.

I hate when apps require you to do the free trial in order to go forward, but you’re committing to the payment side. I didn’t even get past that deleted it right away. There are other apps.
