I have been reaching out to customer care regarding the student discount, but it has still not been applied to my account. It has been over a month, and I have not received any response or resolution.
This has been a very disappointing experience, worst and very bad with the Zee5 subscription service. I wouldn’t recommend this app to anyone with this kind of customer service. Very worst and dissatisfied and disappointing. It’s really frustrating.

iPad HACKED thru Zee5 App
Thru this Zee5 App, my iPad was HACKED.
I came to Nairobi yesterday & downloaded the Zee5 App on my 2 iPhones & iPad. At first I saw some serial on one of my iPhones for FREE. Later in the evening at about 10:30 pm NBO time, I paid for a 1 month subscription. As soon as I I confirmed the payment, the Zee5 App (which was open) sort of shuddered 2 times and then was normal… so I started watching a serial & a few minutes later, I observed on the to LH corner the time shown was 5 hrs ahead of NBO time. So I opened the “Settings” App and under “Date & Time” which was set to “Set Automatically” showed location as “BEIJING” … I then turned off the “Set Automatically” function and put in Nairobi… then came out of the “Settings” App and shut down the iPad.
This morning when I started my iPad, I saw the time was again 5 hrs ahead and under “Settings/Date & Time”, the “Set Automatically” function was “turned on” and the location was the same one word “BEIJING”.
This a a very grave problem for all Zee5 App users… I am writing this not to criticize the App which is otherwise good, but so that you guys can fix this major problem for everyone like me who enjoys watching your shows.
Hence the “1*” rating for now, BUT, I will gladly change it to “5*” once the problem is resolved by the Zee5 App Tech Team.

Renewed without notice and refused to refund
They renewed my subscription without any notification. Contacted within a day but refused to refund.

Streaming issues. I want to see only Telugu content, there is no place to set it globally, the filter always resets and shows all other language contents. Streaming is good but regional language suggestions are worst.

Paid $10.99 per month. Then there’s a new movie released. It says only for premium and I can’t watch with current subscription. What the heck I paid $10.99 and can’t even watch a movie? Awful App - inconsistent pricing
For some the subscription price displayed is $60 but when I try it shows $125. Why this inconsistent pricing? Going to skip
Not live TV, No cancellation, No refunds
I took this subscription last year and requested cancelation it’s immediately. They didn’t cancel but I was provided instructions to disable auto renewal which I followed. This year they still charged me by auto renewal. I sent email to support few days ago when I saw pending charge, no one responded yet. I reinstalled app to check what’s going on and I was not able to log in until yesterday, today I see a charge and I’m able to login. Now app is showing an option to cancel but cancellation email says, subscription will be active until next year and no refunds. I know next year they will again renew without consent.This is pure fraud and cheating.

Cannot login on iPad. When I enter email and click proceed on login screen, it says there is no internet connection which is not true. Can the developer do something please? Thanks

I took subscription to watch specifically marathi content but i was not able to watch it when i was trying to add more laughing i was not able to do that I tried to connect customer service for to days on chat after connecting to live agent I explained them everything and this happened 6 time after chat got transferred to some new agent then I had to again explain then entire thing and this cycle don’t stop I guess I wasted my time and money I’ll not recommend this app to anyone
Doesn’t work on google tv
Worst app ever. Even though i do subscribe for adds free. Then i go back and play i still see ads. The skip now button also doesn’t work. Nothing works right on tv for sure

I only wanted Telugu content so subscribed only to Telugu.. the sound quality is very poor.. the app does not have filter to see only Telugu content.. and additional subscriptions are required for many Telugu movies to watch..
Roku tv log out
Z5 keeps on logging out every few days. Do you know how hard it is to enter your email address and password using TV remote control. I think Afghanistan would be nuclear power before your app would work properly on TV. There is no option to cancel. There is no way for me to reach anybody, nobody replies back.

I was not able to play the content even with subscription when contacted the CS team for support the chatbot simple cuts you off after many trails you somehow get connected to an agent who’s of no help . Even with an active subscription the app was constantly asking me to subscribe it was just playing the preview .

Worst streaming service. Avoid subscription at all costs. Very difficult to get out of it and you will be charged for months after hitting cancel. Customer care and contacts are basically non existent. Designed to make unsubscribing extremely difficult. Slimy, quality less experience. This is a con, Scamful service. Beware!
Cancel my membership!
I did not even want to leave a review because the app and the service are fine but I have asked for my subscription to be canceled for 3 months now and I am still getting charged! How ridiculous. I have contacted their emails and still no response. Is this a way of scamming me out of money or what?

I love watching Indian series but almost every show on this app has no subtitles, if they do it’s only a select few of the episodes have them. If you can’t cater to international audiences it’s ok to say so.

Be advised that you have systematically stopped the main shows that I have been watching for years now. If you take KumKum Bhagya off air, I will definitely cancel my subscription when it comes time to renew it (and be upset that it was only recently renewed) as it is the last show that keeps me watching ZeeTV regularly- or you can resume Kundali Bhagya to keep me watching Zee TV.

Disappointed with ZEE5 Customer Support
I have two active ZEE5 subscriptions and recently contacted customer support to cancel one of them. I explained that having two is unnecessary and a waste of money. However, the support agent told me they couldn’t cancel either subscription.
What was even more frustrating is that they said if I wanted to cancel one of mine, I would need to give them my husband’s subscription details - which makes absolutely no sense. I’m the paying customer, and I should be able to manage or cancel my own subscriptions.
This experience has left me feeling disappointed and regretful about subscribing to ZEE5. I hope they improve their customer service and provide better support in the future. I’d never subscribe ever again or I’d never let any of my known ppl subscribe either..

Subscribed to watch one movie and since then it’s been a 4 month long process to cancel the subscription. App is all kinds of broken, their customer support email bounced with “mailbox full”, and just yesterday I received a response from them intended for someone else. So there’s your privacy.
