No Support Response for Frozen Game
I was really enjoying playing this game. Unfortunately, it froze on me several times. The first few times I just let it go and simply redid that level. But now I’m on level 1154, and the app froze on me again. I had already found tons of extra words and the level was a bit challenging. I reached out to the folks via the app “support“ but no response. It’s frustrating to reach a level, find lots of extra words, and then have it crash on you. No resolution so far. No response from their team. :(.
Update as of May 2026. They finally got back to me and simply stated they cannot fix that error on their part and just to replay that level. Not only that, but apparently I had signed up for weekly $.99 no ads subscription? Very deceitful. I never did that. I did it once. Perhaps there was teeny tiny fine print at the bottom and they’re hoping people won’t notice? Canceled the subscription, deleted the app. Disappointed.

Not Zen at all
I used to really enjoy this word game. It was relaxing and lived up to his name. But with all the recent updates they’ve added all kinds of pop-ups and banners that aren’t even ads. Banners fly across the screen all the time telling me what other people are doing, which I couldn’t care less about. Every time I get an extra word, a window pops up asking me to claim it. What if I don’t want to use it yet? I save the extra words to use when I need a letter. I’ve mentioned these concerns to the authors, but they couldn’t care less whether I’m enjoying this game or not as they’ve completely ignored me. There are other much more relaxing word games out there. Just keep looking.

Way too many ads! And the ads are so long it’s not even worth playing.
Gives away letters
Frustrating that it’s still automatically showing letters and giving hints without user wanting it. Why play a puzzle game when it gives away the answers?

Don’t waste your time
The way ads work with this game is beyond frustrating. One 30 second game per 6 minutes of adds or so… and ones that take multiple actions to dismiss. Can’t even play enough to know if it’s worth paying for. Goodbye.

I even paid to remove them. Most apps or games that means no ads ever at all, you get the bonus of having watched the ad WITHOUT watching the ad.

Worst game ever
This is supposed to be the most relaxing game. There are so many ads. That you have anxiety waiting for the game to appear again worst ever.
Ads are terrible and no way to stop them
Don't download. The game is fun but the ads are terrible and far too long, far too many. AI SPIES ON YOUR PURCHASES AND WILL TORTURE YOU WITH THE SAME ADS LASTING MINUTES. You can't play without the ads.

Another fun game ruined by excessively long ads. For a relaxing game it sure was aggravating. Willing to watch a reasonable amount of ads so developer can make money but not at this apps unreasonable ad usage. Another deletion.
False Advertising
This game markets itself to be completely add free but there are so many adds! It even pauses your active game to run an add. It also overs you 20 measly coins if you allow app to track. So scammy. Frustrating, nothing “Zen” about it.

I really liked this game but No Adds mean adds for other games as well! They say it will help you sleep, what a joke. You are so annoyed within two minutes you can’t fall asleep at all.
Paid for NO advertisement
This sucks. I enjoyed playing and paid for ad free. I open to play and it’s trying to shove Royal Kingdom down my throat!!! I can’t get out of the ad at all!! If I’d wanted to play another game I wouldn’t have opened Zen Word. Very disappointed!!!

I’m on level 238, and it’s still like 10 words or less to find. Not challenging at all, very boring.
Horrible hanging ads
Their advertising locks and no way to exit. I recorded 3 minutes on Royal Kingdom. How fun is that. Save yourself the grief. It is more stressful than any kind of fun. Too bad the game is actually great.

In a previous review I mentioned links to watch videos ( and get coins) NEVER WORK🤣until you get to level 2200 and above…now you HAVE TO WATCH VIDEOS TO CONTINUE TO PLAY….NOPE
Enjoyable but
I like this game but ALL THE ADS! Too many ads. I understand the need for ads but not at this level. It is annoying and I will not be p,aping as much. The ads are why I gave a low scores.
Hounded by pop ups
I like the game, but after solving just 1, I get hit with an ad. But not just an ad, pop ups telling me i can buy an ad free version. But there’s more, pop ups telling me to spin a wheel if i watch an ad. BUT WAIT, there’s another pop up for a leaderboard. I have to press an X around 5 times and watch an ad just to play the next level. This app is slop and there are alternatives that do the same and much better
Close the fkn ad
The gd ad won’t close and go back to my game. That is why I deleted this game in the first place. I already had it but kept getting broken ads that wouldn’t close.
Neat game
Neat game but like so many others I can’t take the ads every time you complete a level!!! Levels 1-20 were ad free, after that you might as well delete the game!

I hate the 55 second ads I have to sit through even after I win. I usually exit the app when this happens. Also, these ads are SCAMS designed to trick seniors.

Not all that Zen
All the popups and game animations are not relaxing at all. Bouncing cartoon characters, moving lights, and flashy animations are absolutely not zen. I was hoping for a simple, calm word game. I don’t need a flashing award whenever I guess a word correctly or finish a puzzle. The reward is the completed puzzle! I’ll keep searching but this one is getting uninstalled.
