Watch out for scammers!
Got scammed only 70 dollars for the “application refundable deposit” from this so called landlord. Can’t believe people like him exist in Zillow. Please be careful if you decide to use this app. If you have not met the person in person or even on call do not send any “application refundable deposit”.
Hate new beta AI feature
I want to still be able to just search, not be locked into conversational AI. This ruined the app.
Switched to Redfin
Can no longer search by “minimum time on Zillow”. Only maximum which defeats the purpose of finding properties that may be more motivated to sell.
Why AI Search??
I’m not trying to have a conversation with Zillow, I just need to search for a property or a location and this new AI search has made this basic function impossible

I feel like you should be able to see what the landlords are reading from your profile and be able to make changes to your profile especially if you’re paying $35 for it.

Making your users automatically save the home as a favorite if they hit the share button on it is the absolute cheapest way to drive engagement. Shame on the product manager that thought of the idea, the engineer that built is, and the product leader that okayed the launch
“Ask Zillow” Sucks
Somehow I’ve been opted-in to an A/B test of “Ask Zillow”, where you replace my very functional, responsive, search bar with an extremely nonfunctional AI chatbot style interface that makes me unable to quickly search for addresses, because there’s no auto completion, and I end up looking at a vacant lot 4 states away instead of the home that’s literally 2 blocks away.
This isn’t an anti-AI screed, your implementation just sucks. Please let me opt out of this experiment, and let me use the normal search bar again.

AI implementation sucks
Not happy with the mandatory AI prompts that are in the way and distracting. If I was looking for something specific I could adjust the search parameters myself. Also don’t like the new UI with the location choice being a weird toggle. Will be using Redfin as long as this forced AI is there.

Would give 0 stars if I could. Zillow’s auth approach is ridiculous and doesn’t work. Sign into the app, then go to message inbox, requires you to sign in AGAIN and then doesn’t work, just keeps showing the sign in button and won’t show messages.
Sorting does nothing
Sorting your list of homes does nothing. Price High to Low, Low to High, doesnt’t matter the list won’t change. By newest or by sq footage? nope.

The app just simply doesnt work. You have to login every single time you use the app, it literally never keeps your profile. Not only that, but everytime you take an action in the app it logs you out. So if you are messaging with someone expect to be constantly kicked out.

Regular Search > Stupid AI
I despise the new AI search thing that they’ve put it’s less helpful than anything. All I wanna do is search for a town and the house is in that town and it takes 10 business days to even pull up just the area of the town or jurisdiction that I want to search in. I’m really considering going to a different app at this point. It’s highly frustrating.

Whatever you did with the old Zillow, please bring it back. This one is so clunky.
We we’re looking last year for a place in down East Maine. We use Zillow every day. It was so easy. We haven’t used it in probably six months and we opened it up to find this disastrous application. you need to print instructions for this app. It’s awkward and stresses me out just to use it totally disappointed. I think we’ll use something else and forget Zillow something that actually is customer friendly because this is not.

Get rid of AI beta
This app was fine until the AI beta feature. I want to search for specific things, not search an AI feature. There is literally no benefit to the AI beta feature

Waiting for reply from request to add new property. It has been a year since my first request. There is no such thing as assistance if there is no intent to hire an agent.
Saved Searches are Forever
Have confirmed delete multiple times on some saved searches that I no longer want. App reinstates them with notifications every time I close and reopen it.
AI search makes the app unusable
The latest update is complete garbage. The AI features are broken and remove ability to search.
Irrational and Inaccurate
I’ve now sent two messages to Zillow customer support explaining very clearly how grossly incorrect their algorithm is in pricing our home. They claim that “off market” homes have an error rate of 7% or less, yet our home is off by no less than 12%, probably even more.

This app is horrible! It tries to force you to give it financial information while preventing you from seeing pictures of the property you MAY be interested in touring or purchasing. Fix your scaling!!!! I find it ridiculous that I would give you financial information until I see pictures of the property to know if I am at least interested!!
I am not a robot!
I keep having to “press and hold” to prove I’m not a robot. As soon as I am verified, I get another pop up screen to prove I’m not a robot. I can’t even use the app because I keep having to prove I’m not a gosh darn robot. This is with my VPN on and off. Initially it was happening on the Zillow Rental app, so I uninstalled and tried here, and it’s still happening. Extreamly frustrating!
report listing button doesn’t work
the report listing button just opens a nonspecific help database with no recourse instead of leading to a report page. considering how many listings have problems (incorrect bedroom count, map placement, etc), that’s not great. not that it matters, because 100% of responses i’ve gotten to prior reports were useless abdications of responsibility

There’s no regular search feature anymore?? I can only interact with their stupid AI interface? What is this world coming to? I’m deleting Zillow. FFS 🤦♀️

AI Beta is a pAIn!!!
Zillow used to be a favorite for home searches, but the AI Beta has pushed it to the bottom. It’s too slow, tries to direct a person away from off market houses, and it gives me info & instructions I neither need nor want!! There at least should be an opt out. ZILLOW w/o AI Beta was 190% better than whatever this is!!
Beware! Zillow will call you nonstop for using the app
One star. App is good but I was just browsing properties for sale with no intention to buy and now ZHL (Zillow home loans) will not stop calling me and sometimes many times a day. Stop calling Zillow!
