it seemed like a good app for my upcoming test, but it wouldn’t even let me use the app without paying. every time i exited out and refreshed it would keep me on the subscription tab and wouldn’t let me exit. i’m not paying for an app i won’t even need in a month. i’m really disappointed i thought i found a new great app to help with my test.

Nobody *really* Wants to Help You
No app wants to help you out of the goodness of their hearts for free anymore. If you get busy, you’re paying a $8 trial monthly. A knowledge test costs a lot of money and overall learning to drive is expensive with a bunch of fees along the path-why do you think you have the right to leech off of me further? Don’t pay? Then you’re limited on courses.
Annoying
It doesn’t even let you do it for free. You have to pay for it. You cannot even press X to go back to the home page because there is no X button.

I can only give it one star because when I try to use the app it will let me select my state but then I cannot tap the next button on the next screen. There is some words that are over the next button and it effectively makes the me unable to continue even getting through the app setup. I’m using an IPhone 16.

You can only take one test without PLUS, of which the free trial consists of three days. It’s like these app creators want people uneducated on driving

Misleading ‘Free’ App Advertising
Advertised as a free app, but you can’t actually use it without being pushed into a subscription/free trial immediately. There’s no clear option to continue for free, which feels misleading and frustrating. Very disappointing experience.

Your pay wall is horrendous
Why when I first download the app and I go into it the FIRST thing I’m greeted with is the app FORCING me to look at reviews for plus and then it forces you into the screen of a 3 day trial. There is zero button to get you out of this and there are no other options in the app. It’s ridiculous because I want to earn my permit without having to pay more money than I need to but when I’m cornered into purchasing a subscription it’s really truly irritating.

Bad practices
After using this myself, I recommend recommended it to a class of 30 children. I was overcharged and Zutobi would not help me at all.
Monthly subscription?
Why would I pay a monthly subscription to learn how to drive??? That’s just money gouging, this should be free to teach everyone how to drive safely. 👎🏽

Missing knowledge - Scam
I took my state motorcycle permit test this morning. I passed within 16 questions. Out of those sixteen questions, 7 of them were about three wheeled vehicle or motorcycle sidecars. I took every module/test in the app and NOT ONCE was three wheeled vehicles or sidecars ever mentioned. I had to use intuition and physics knowledge to deduce the correct answers in order to pass or I would have failed due to literally never covering the subjects at all. For an app that costs $7.99 PER WEEK, that is an absolute scam. A very large majority of individuals would have failed that test this morning and Zutobi ROBBED my $7.99

They did not have much of what you needed for the permit test and I canceled my fees but they still charged me.

Hi, I am almost old enough I drive. And I got this app based on an ad I saw! So I was like, " Cool, let me download this! So I decided to use it after a few days! So I log in, till I realized that I HAVE TO PAY TO USE THIS APP. BTW GUYS IF YOU WANT TO GET YOU BETTER PRAY YOU GOT THE MONEY!!

I downloaded the app thinking I could get free supplemental help for learning to drive, before I can even do a lesson, it says I need to pay 7.99 a week to use the app.
Pay to Use
Why have it be a free pay if you have to pay to use it. There’s no options to use a free version, only a 3 day free trial and the you have to pay 7 dollars a month. There’s other apps you can use for free that will teach you the same things.

Edit: I’m changing 4* to 1* because I tried to cancel my subscription before the deadline. The subscription did not show up in my Apple subscriptions, I emailed, no response. I was then charged and I emailed again. Still no response. They are fraudulently taking money from people. I will be reporting!

None of the questions on this app were on the test. There were some that were similar. But quite a few of them were about laws involving alcohol or losing your licence. Example: How long do you lose your licence for if you buy alcohol for minors. Not sure how relevant that was to being able to drive but…..so while the app helped a lot with learning things to do with the road, you really also need to be looking up local laws. I got four questions wrong pretty early on. Managed to get the rest right, and definitely had to guess two of them because I had no clue. So don’t just rely on this app to get a definite pass.
