my Gmail that I use for my afterpay account got scammed. I closed the account and tried to set up a new one with my new email. A'pay - Not allowed more than 1 acct, even if old one is closed due to circumstances beyond my control. perfect record financially. Unbelievable!
customer support is just AI after being a customer for about 18 months, paying never late, mostly in advance they just blocked my account for a random fraud audit?? and have not been able to communicate with a real human person since about 9am this morning it is now 6pm I am currently undertaking volunteer bushfire recovery work and was trying to organise tools whilst in town. their support and I suspect many levels of management is just an AI . don't use
I know it's all my fault but the lack of compassion is so so disappointing. I've had a mental health breakdown with suicidal thoughts and had to go declare bankruptcy. I have nothing and life is so damn hard and I wish I wasn't in this position but my mental health puts me in a place I don't want to be in. Now they are sending lawyers our way. Be aware with these heartless people.
Garbage customer support. Also ever since the introduction of afterpay card, it is such a painful experience. Never works first time.
Dont Use Afterpay. I closed my account by mistake and they have a unlawful policy about cannot open a account in future. that is against the law. Customer Service when contacting are useless and not reliable. STAY AWAY. they are other better Buy now pay later schemes such as Zip and Klarna etc than this scam mob.
worst customer service. very lazy customer service people who did not read black and white messages and just copy paste templates to waste peoples time. and that too after so many hours. never had such bad experiences before!
Afterpay are no better than Criminals. they are happy to breech Australian Credit regulations. they are impossible to contact and have zero morality. be weary of them and DO NOT EXPECT TO BE TREATED FAIRLY.

It has a bug. Firstly, is taking ages to load the app. Then I realise it has signed me out. I use my login which I know is correct. Check 10x. retype the exact same thing and it logs me in. I try to pay and it says my (previously loaded) payment details are incorrect, which have worked previously. My card has not expired and I have money in the account. I close the app and try again and it has signed me out again. Try to login using the same password and it says it's incorrect again. Ridiculous.
the worst company i have ever had to deal with. you cant ring them they ignore you when they feel like it and im not sure if they can actually fix problem or just cause them . im eaiting for them to unfreeze my account but no one know how
there is issue with the registration process. i can't put in the amounts for earning and spending cap for completing registration process.
It's the worst credit app ever. They were never able to verify my identity even though I sent them all the types of identification they requested, and they just replied that they couldn't provide me with the service.
Transaction declined for no reason, have never missed a payment once, now they message me saying, it's important to know we may decline even if it's within your estimated available to spend, we appreciate your understanding that we can't approve every transaction, to complete your transaction use another payment method other then afterpay, what do I need this app for if you are going to decline me because I'm just a number and yous are a big company, never coming back to this app. Red flag

Terrible app. worse with every update so far, now can't sign in at all. Deliberately scummy to try and force you to miss payments.
Made an order and waited weeks just for it to process then it just cancelled itself and said I had to confirm order process
Can't even use it, it won't let me finish my application. I'm stuck at the part where I need to add my income, it keeps bugging and won't let me add anything
Closed my account for refinancing my housing loan and try to reapply back again and Afterpay said permanently closed means can't apply back again forever. i have been with Afterpay for 7 years no loyalty at all. Will not recommend to my friends.
You can't change the day you prefer to pay, and there's no customer support. A broken app all in all.
happy to change the stars to more, but the latest update has the app not working at all, wont load and keeps logging me off have uninstalled and reinstalled it have cleared things and still cant use the app

app is rubbish installed the app and it wont let me complete my application, app wont let me enter any income info in the box. tried all the trouble shooting tips might as well delete the app its useless.
problem with changing the preferred date in personal settings. tried to get someone to fix it but they now have an AI assistant chat bot who just sends me around in circles re-doing the same recommended fixes each time but never sends me to an actual human to chat with.

Definitely bugs that need fixing it has logged me out at least 3 times while just trying to make payments this morning, I highly suggest fixing this as it should be this stressful to just pay what I owe
customer service is disgraceful, waiting 3 days so far to speak to someone over an attempt to make a large purchase that wasn't me. phone lines are shut down to make online more efficient apparently. account frozen by the AI because of attempted fraudulent transaction but absolutely no help to rectify the problem! absolutely terrible will be deleting my account altogether!
The most unhelpful support when dealing with a duplicate order glitch. My screen froze while purchasing, Afterpay made an order but one wasn't made with the merchant. When it loaded, it made a second order with Afterpay and one order with the merchant. Asked Afterpay to get rid of the duplicate one that didn't go through with the merchant. They got rid of one order and disputed the other. Now I don't get my purchase because of an Afterpay mistake that they incorrectly corrected.

I pay a monthly card fee for AfterPay yet they insist on showing me pointless ads when I pay off an item. Very frustrating. If they keep it up, I'll happily close my account.
Worst customer protection. Afterpays Random security checks' are a joke. We gave up after 3 random checks! you to can go to pay in store. To ' randomly' learn you've been chosen! Step 1: understand afterpay has just frozen your account Step 2: Be ready to pay another way! tell merchant afterpay is 'randomly' blocking sales 'for customer protection' Step 3: Contact APay, recieve link, provide Gov ID & Bank statement Step 4: Risk repeating every shop with afterpay!
