I WILL BE DELETING AFTER MY LAST PAYMENT. I've been using Afterpay for years, spent thousands of dollars throught the app; never had an issue. I missed a payment by two days; I had to juggle the bills-in response-they cut my available balance of over $2,000 in half. That's lower than when I first applied. One slip-up erased years of trust and goodwill. Well, I hate to tell you that street goes both ways. EDIT: Since my review, they HALVED my balance again, after ZERO activity on my account.

This does not work. I cannot purchase any gift cards, and when I followed their instructions for creating a single use card to order from Walmart nothing happened. yet I was still charged for the gift card. Do not use. Total scam
not able to place orders they say they are sending a SMS code but I haven't received it I have used in the past and worked great switch to my phone and uninstalled then reinstalled and I still cannot use the app
I am unable to close my account. I never made payments with Afterpay and now I am unable to close it because I have payments to complete or something about my balance? I didn't touch anything. I do not trust this app.
not pleased 3000 credit limit to 100 limit. I mostly paid on time no problem. but when struggling and I asked payments arrangement I agree to it when say I pay. I can at least taking 1000 away not the whole thing which is a joke

I used to use Afterpay all the time, but the vast majority of purchases I make are on Amazon, and for some reason Afterpay changed how it's used on Amazon. They now make you use it in the Amazon app rather than their own via adding a new card to your account. Problem is that Amazon has a tendency to make you physically verify new cards in order to use them, which is impossible with this virtual payment method. I am only rating this 1-star in hopes that developers will see this and rectify it.
support team is no help. stuck in identity verification. can't use the app for in-store nor online. I have no choice but to delete my account with all that available amount I still had.
how can I make payments when I dont want the app.
Got scammed by m.newsparkings and afterpay. Never received my merchandise and made many complaints. They said it was delivered which is a lie. Afterpay did not help me at all to resolve the issue. Got scammed by them both.
Will not load on Samsung phone. Ever since the cashapp merger or whatever, it doesn't work. Just white screen with logo animation. I've done all the troubleshooting etc. Reinstalled after months of not using it to encounter the same problem. Disappointing. It was my favorite.
I recently noticed payments are not every 2 weeks they are being taken in much less time.
so I've been with after pay for years and I just switched phones a few days before a payment was due that I didn't have set up with the proper card so it wasn't going to go thru so I download afterpay on my new phone, same phone number mind you, and it wants to verify me by sending me an sms code that never comes. I've tried a thousand different possible reasons and corrected them all so still no code. tried customer service, got nowhere. still can't make the now overdue payment so now im SOL.

havent even been able to log in to the app. its telling me that I have to go thru cash app. but it shows it offers walmart and Amazon. but It doesnt offer that thru cashapp.

Absolutely the worst pay in four experience. Every bill has always been paid. Been using them faithfully for years, and had over $1,200 in spending funds. Suddenly had $100 in spending and then $50 to spend for no reason at all, even with a $0 balance due. Absolutely the WORST customer service ! Not even worth your time
I use to love this app but lately when I go through Walmart if I go over 200 dollars it crash and support keeps taking me on the runaround
So far its a horrible app. Can't get past the initial login and keeps referring me back to Cashapp.
I have contacted afterpay a number of times. When I say a number I mean ten plus. Looking for a solution to send money toward payment due to a major loss in wage. Afterpay clearly does not care. I have not gotten a single response. Feels like I am in an episode of Twilight zone. These people are supposed to be representing the company and getting money for payments but here I am and apparently my money ain't good enough. Terrible service.
don't waste your time or money it's a joke...you install get a spending limit approval and then you get denied ... whatever the requirements are they're hidden and not transparent then customer service is a less than stellar experience as well that resolves nothing but does harvest a bunch more information about you in return for empty promises...look elsewhere like zip, PayPal pay in 4 ,etc. for working honest apps

so afterpay cannot force you to lov in with old account & require a security code be sent to a phone number you no longer have otherwise you must allow the customer to create a new ACCOUNT!! Company is a nightmare

Credit limit never goes up in spite of having a perfect payback history with most of the time paying it back early. When I ask about it I get the same AI generated generic excuse. Use another app like Zip, etc., they're so much better
Sucks with major bugs. only allows you to shop certain places and not what I was expecting!

I am disappointed with Afterpay. I closed my account. I tried to reopen it. I contacted Afterpay support to help me. Afterpay sent me email stating they couldn't reopen my account because of unpaid balance. I paid my balance. I made a complaint to them. They sent me another email and it said I did pay the balance. I can't still get into my account. I am not eligible to open a new account. I don't recommend Afterpay to anyone.
The customer service is absolutely horrible. Disingenuous, automated messages that never specifically refer to or help your problem. They inact blocks onto your account without notice or explanation when pressed about it.

#BEWARE☠️ #UseAtYourOwnRisk 💀💀💀💀💀 If you make a grocery order or get a refund from a vendor Afterpay takes up to 10 DAYS to process changes. Partial payments issued instead of full refund of items not received. Where the rest goes can be a hunt for your own treasure. 💵 Customer service takes DAYS using EMAIL but you have to call Cash app customer service first which is Abysmal. Their agents even REFUSE to hang up the phone at the end of the to to prevent reviews. 🚩 👎
Its awful right now, I have uninstallee and reinstalled this app and it still remains on the same loading screen.

how are you not going to let me pay the 3.00 of taxes that would put me under the limit to get something.
it's getting worse over time. They increase your limit, but you have to pay off a lot of orders to be able to use the limit. I paid off some and I always pay in advance, but they don't take it in consideration. it's becoming a lame app to use
accidentally missed one payment out of like 5 previous purchases n they wiped out my credit with them. Not a good business move on their part to loyal users. will uninstall the app now..
I was loving this app but when my brand new moto g play 2025 phone refused to turn on, I could no longer access any of my accounts, which I notified every financial app I use. I literally missed 1 scheduled payment for 1 single day & I immediately paid my entire account off the next day as soon as I purchased a new phone & switched devices. They dropped my spending limit from $300 down to $50! So, I'm using the hell out of the other BNPLs that appreciate me! Thanks Afterpay!
