they just want to scam you. I get free subscription with blue cross blue shield. app requires you to sign up for paid subscription before you can sign up. then it tells you that you can't provide code because you have paid membership. then it auto rejected the code provided by BCBS of Michigan because it wants you to pay!

If I could give a zero star review I would. This app offered me a 7 day free trial, and so I accepted the offer, and they charged me the free for the yearly subscription anyway. I clicked the offer for a 7 DAY FREE TRIAL and was IMMEDIATELY charged over $80. This app is a god damn scam.
free means free. not a trial period and then you get charged! won't even try the trial after reading these reviews.

Everything is behind a paywall except for breathing exercises and a few sleep sounds. Not to mention the subscription plan is absolutely crazy expensive. No thanks.
Do not waste your money. The content is good but the app is a disaster. Hard to navigate and find things and constantly trying to get you to upgrade or share, so you have to click a bunch of times to get to a meditation. By then, my blood pressure is up, so it sort of defeats the calming. you can get EDMR on your music streaming, I wish I knew that. Will not be renewing this
Not happy at all with this app! When did they start charging you for something you can't even use now! There are plenty of free apps for relaxing!

Horrible customer service. I tried to cancel autorenew , but they charged me anyway. i challenged the charge with my credit card company, but the cc company denied the charge back because the people at Calm had said , I voluntarily renewed. Not true. So Calm soaked me for $69.99 . i am definitely not calm now.
Nothing is free. High monthly fee.
This is unheard of ! A relaxation app to stress me out . i need to cancel. I don't have the money to pay $87.00 I was tricked by a free trial. I want to cancel now .

went through the bother of getting a 'personalised emdr plan' only to find that nothing was carried over. So I just provided Calm with a bunch of marketing information for no benefit at all.
so much is hidden behind a pay wall. browsing through actually made me more irritated and on edge.

enjoy the app but disappointed to note that 2 payments have come out of my Bank £9.99 and £31.33. I have not signed up for premium as cannot afford so will be raising issues with the Bank.
Terrible customer service. This experience has made me feel anything but calm. I purchased the annual subscription priced at £39.99. When I logged onto Calm my details showed that I was not subscribed and had no access even though the payment had been charged to my bank. When you reach out to the support team you get no reply. Terrible service. I want a refund and to cancel the subscription. It's honestly so badly managed. I would not recommend.

Great app if it was not a greedy money hungry app wanting to make you pay just to listen to sounds. Just use U-Tube instead, its free. I can see to pay to listen. to podcast but not just noise.
huge pay wall and upon looking there's nothing geared towards ND persons. Everything is a little generic and when you're diagnosed with ASD and severe anxiety, that requires a flexible yet accurate tool set. Even if i paid for this, there's nothing of any benefit that isn't already known or available using free resources. and as for the supposed doctors that have featured On this during the preview, how did you choose them? By testing how condescending they can be?!
did not honor reduced subscription price and seems to be impossible to cancel. Programming is poor.
A therapeutic app gone wrong. How? These ads are outta hand, UGH 😤 tell me how barreling through 10 ads to get to the main UI any type of Calm? BROTHA NO. Not to mention all the locked features at the storefront, with no easy navigation towards a sample or two, pretty off put from the get-go. It's inconsiderate of our attention to incessantly shove these greedy tactics in while we're in search to literally stay CALM!!! Also gate-keeping 95% of everything is not a humane approach. Not awesome

Hardly anything available for free to even try it out. One thing that keeps me from subscribing is the primary narrator voices are very annoying. Jay feels like he's shouting at me, it's grating. And the main woman - I forget her name - reads with a sort of condescending vocal fry affectation, like she is reading to children. I find it condescending and annoying. When you are experiencing stress, these are the last things you want.

For an app about wellbeing, I found it extremely disappointing that the developers rely on dark UX patterns to trick users. My flags started to go up at some of the messaging and UX during sign-up, but it was incredibly obvious when I tried to cancel my subscription. I had to click three or four "are you sure" type pages where the "cancel" button was tiny and hard to click at the bottom of the page. This is not how honest and reputable apps behave.
great app but of course it makes you pay and not everyone wants to pay for apps.

everything remotely useful is behind paywalls and it's a pain to navigate. all I'm looking for is white noise type stuff to sleep to, not all the rest of this BS. good luck finding that. the ui is shiny but needlessly complicated. deleting immediately
awful, had to restart phone as the sound would not stop playing despite pressing stop and closing the app the sound still played, not a very intuitive app annoyed I spent money on it!
tbf haven't used since my Sound Maskers couldn't sinc up to wind down.
Im mad because I paid for one month thinking it was a great deal... and now Im seeing I have to pay even more to have access to what I need. I dont even want to use it now. It ruined my desire to try it. I hate being deceived.
I have had the Calm app for years on iPhone with no issues loved it and used Soo many different ways. I switched to Android and purchased a subscription in play store, have the app signed in with the same info worked for the 2 months, has not connected since, I have logged out and back in , I have deleted the app and reinstalled same error message that I need to log in with my play store account information. reached out to customer service 3xs no response.....very disappointed.
