I hate an app that is easy to pay but seems impossible to cancel. no help and no one to call
lose it app seemss to be easier to use and offers more options WITHOUT making you buy a subscription!!

Revert back to the previous interface. The new one isn't intuitive and it feels amateur.
The new update is dreadful! I've used MFP for well over 10 years. All my past food entries are now duplicating, which is blowing out my calories eaten from 2000 to well over 4000. The purpose of this app is to track food and calories, and it's failing at that basic requirement. Fix it!
OMG, the new update app is so irritating! Changed my raiting because they took away the barcode scan option I've used free for years and added it to the premium pay option. Looks like a greedy move to me. Obviously they weren't getting enough people to purchase the premium option as it was, so they take away what was the most used feature (that was free) and move it to paid only option. Extremely disappointed in My Fitness Pal! I think it might be time to find another food logging app.
10 years of loving this app until the lastest update. Absolutely hate it now. I feel like I've lost an old faithful friend. IF ITS NOT BROKE DONT FIX IT!!!
Update May 2026: 👎 New forced user experience is lackluster and requires more effort both to log your food and to see what you've logged. Not being able to see the foods in each meal without clicking into each one adds time to a process most people want to streamline as much as possible. Spacing between rows has ballooned. It's too easy to accidentally click the "log previous" button and then have to correct it by deleting the rows of food one by one. I'm now looking for alternative.
this new update is really bad... have to edit everything one by one. and can't easily switch between days to edit
I got signed out in the newest update, and haven't been able to log in through google or make a new account. Very disappointed considering this is the app my doctor recommended.
new format is awful. stop messing with things
I signed up for the free 7-day trial for the premium plan. Even scheduled a text reminder for 6 days later to remind me to access if I liked the features enough to commit or cancel. Well, I was shocked to see next day I had been charged. I submitted request through Play store for a refund and they denied me. I'm going back to using Lose It app and disputing this charge with my bank to get my money back smh. Not a good experience and I don't recommend based off the customer service I received.
User since 2011, and I pay for a premium plan. When they implemented the April '26 update, I decided to use it for a few weeks to get used to it. I share all the frustrations that others have. Simple things, like the loss of the ability to swipe left and right to move the diary from day to day, or the loss of the "long press" to move or copy an entry in your diary, are super frustrating. Logging food is more tedious and it's harder to see what you've logged. MFP... PLEASE FIX WHAT YOU BROKE
Brilliant app used for years and really helps until they changed the interface making it clunky, slow and more difficult to review quickly each mealtime
I used it for over a decade, but the Devs are incompetent and break the app faster than they can fix it. That is what happens when you use AI to write your code. For over a week I cannot add recipes as it gives me an error. As so I simply cannot log my food. app does not work. So I uninstalled and moved to an app where developers are competent. Another thing is making bad updates and redesign that everyone hates then double down because you know better. We are customers we know what we want
not impressed
The price of $110 a year and $28 if you want to go monthly is insane. That is far too much for this product. They also recently updated the user interface and it is truly terrible. Lost all semblance of intuitive usage. This app is shooting itself in the foot.
Horrendous new update. Uninstalling after 15 years of loyalty. 😭
Logs me out periodically, very annoying.
Loved this app, now being forced to go for premium.
2020: Doesn't let me add all of the food items I need to my list of consumed food which is, arguably, the point of the app. Clunky UI. When it works, it works great, when it doesn't it's incredibly frustrating. These problems did not exist when I first started using the app a while ago. Could just be some bugs got past QA in this version! 2026:Things have gotten worse. Hard to believe a big app like this has gotten so bad over the years. updated from 3 to 1 star. Time to use another app for me
you stole my data there has been a breach on my account with you back in 2018..
App is not logging macros correctly.
the latest update ruined the app. stuff requires so many more clicks. not intuitive. cant see your whole day anymore. filling in previous days is super annoying. awful. was great, now it sucks
The latest update buried the most important nutritional info where you have to go hunting for it where it used to be on the main dashboard. I got lucky they did this during my free trial and it wasn't too late to cancel.
I've been using this app for well over a decade now and the new update has completely ruined it. it's terrible, and the devs should roll it back regardless of cost. listen to your users.
My original review was in 2022. It's now May of 2026 and 1 star is being generous. Do they deliberately come up with changes to drive people away? The new version that we were forced to accept seems to have been written by one of those AI's that make people want to throw their devices. Finding a meal that you have regularly, has become literally impossible. Finding nutritional information for your day now requires multiple actions, to get to a screen that defaults to weekly view. STUPID ! !
I've been using this for a few years and it was great, tracking all my macros. Now with the recent update, the app no longer loads and it glitches out on me and has just ruined my tracking with it no longer working for me. What happened with the update!
Update 06/05 - the UI has been updated to the latest version and it is awful. Case studies need to be written about the fall of myfitnesspal. Once the undisputed king of calorie counting. Now AI slop everywhere, features you pay for not even working, UI is unusable. So bad... so so bad Doesn't sync from android app to web. paid for premium and I have to use a non optimised website that's an absolute joke to add to my diary. Would consider an alternative if you're new to myfitnesspal
They changed the design of the app. Half the good information is no longer shown. You have to click numerous things to see anything and it's just unappealing all around. Also, there was an update and now my app crashes constantly, double and triple logs my food daily. I have to manually go in and delete each of the extra items all the time. It is time consuming and I'm ready to look into a different nutritional tracker app.
New ux experience is very poor, multi click to get to what used to be simply displayed in one go. It takes people time to get used to a new layout, i understand that, but this design works against the core purpose of why people use it. It's showcasing features bringing those front and center at the expense of the core purpose - logging food and tracking.
can't do basic things like scan the food you're eating without paying a subscription. don't mind ads but others do this basic stuff on free tier
do not like the update
Don't like this new look, everything is more difficult to see & enter with more touches to do it, can't delete an entire meal only one item at a time. The meal calorie numbers are very small & faint on the main screen. Please bring back the diary where you can see your whole day's food on one screen. It might be time to find a new app to use....
This used to be a good app but the latest update April 2026 has ruined the ease of use no end. Now very clunky and not user friendly. So disappointing, unfortunately after 10 years, I'm now looking at other apps instead 👎
You cannot enter accurate inormation making the app completely useless. Deleted after attempting to log my first meal and couldn't.
Lots of ADs, can't track macros without subscription, asks for a lot of personal information
zero customer service help. you talk to a bot if there's an issue. the bot doesn't even understand what you're saying and just submits a ticket that no one will get back to.
WARNING !!!!! didn't want to subscribe but it automatically did and charged me £65 now in process of trying to get it refunded HOPEFULLY!!!!!!
why would you have login with Google "which is not available right now". Jesus
awful, it doesn't let you enter the amount of food in grams. you have to calculate in decimals to get somewhat close values but even then it's extremely inaccurate. no custom entries where I can just enter the macros. just garbage app.
So, I used the app for years and eventually changed it to some which had product bar code scanning feature without need of buying premium. Well, it turns out that this is something android users have to pay for, because Apple phones can use it in base/free version! Disgusting! And so glad I made switch to EU Product instead!
I've been using this app almost daily for 10 years, but this new app update has ruined this app. I'm now actively searching for a replacement. I can't see all my meals at once, creating a problem of items being missed or logged incorrectly. The macros at the top is nice, but if I can't see if my meals are logged correctly or how many calories I have left, it's useless. Why change the front interface screen to make it HARDER to log meals? I've never seen so much joint outrage for something.
I've been using MFP for a decade and with the exception of a few occasional bugs, it was easy to use and did what I needed, which was log my food and aggregate my nutrition. The new UI is so clunky and unintuitive. It takes a lot more clicks to log food and edit your food diary. At the end of the day when I'm trying to dial in my last snack, I have to click back and forth into and back out of the meal to see my total calories and macros. It's awful. And I'm very annoyed I just paid for a year.
terrible ui
Was great until the updated user interface.
Edit - uninstalled and reinstalled an earlier version and, thank god, the old interface is back. Hopefully, I won't be forced to "upgrade" before I find a replacement!! The new interface doesn't show the impact of calories burned during exercise as clearly making it much harder to allow for this appropriately (the app is supposed to do this for you, but it's really hard to see and check). The old interface was way better.
This app used had the best interface for busy people and meal prep. The previous version let me see total daily calories and all meals (with all food items) on one screen without excessive clicking. The 2026 update is a major downgrade. It requires far more clicks and removes important functions: I can no longer select and copy individual food items (only entire meals), and I can’t delete multiple selected items-now I must delete them one by one. This makes copying and editing meals inefficient.
the update made it worse...
