Honestly, I thought this app would be a good addition to warhammer 40K. But after messing around with it, I think it's stupid. And as a person who has been playing this game since I was 10 years old, I believe the direction warhammer has gone. It is no longer warhammer 40K There's 0 strategy involved. There's zero customization involved. And I believe gw should go back and read their own white dwarf magazines and return to the real game. The new games workshop just makes me sad and depressed
Newest update is missing the Chaos stuff
been subscribed for a while and didn't use the app much, unsubscribed to save that little extra money, decided to resubscribe, after logging in, the app told me I didn't have a subscription, tried restoring purchases, that's did nothing, tried to subscribe again and it tells me I already have a subscription, how does that even work GW???

This app is virtually useless due to everything being "content locked"
How much money will satisfy you?
After spending hundreds of pounds on models, and £100 on an Imperial Knight, I can't access its data slate. The app is in serious need of redesigning to be fit for purpose.

They lock features behind multiple pay walls. edit: as a complete resource, it's pretty great.
The army list builder is hot garbage if you don't pay for an upgrade or something. Free options exist on the internet. Hell, even the codex is available for free if you just google it, so I don't get the point of paying for this.
Owning the minis is required to play. Seeing locked content screens when logged in as a WH+ subscriber, I realized the app is not necessary to play. Swing and a miss, GW.
Have to buy codex to unlock rules. Also have to pay a sub for more than 1 list. Very scummy monitization model. If i pay a sub i want all features. I'll keep using new recruit untill they stop being so scummy.
You can't access anything after paying and the builder doesn't work right. Scam.
pay for sub. pay for codexes.... codex in app has half of what you need. can't have the codex without buying the physical copy. can't buy electronically... you get one 20~ min episode on whtv every 3 weeks if you're lucky... then buy the minis... get 1 free mini after a year of that tho (specific ones you wouldn't want anywayl. somethings gotta give to justify this add Crucible of Champions options into app!
Completely useless unless you either subscribe or already own all of the relevant books. Doesn't even give access to unit's statlines, just their point values.
why dose the official army builder need a monthly subscription to have more that one army? Im already buying you're overpriced minatures this is just an insult.
checked it out. it's horrible. uninstalled. Such level of greed is disgusting beyond comprehension
The army builder portion of this app has been free for a while, but with the new update that has changed. This appears to squeeze the most amount of money out of their consumer. This bad decision was most likely inspired by a previous bad decision to change the lore to try and reach new customer while isolating their current customers. The amazon show will probably flop as well if they continue this trend.
too expensive
my friend can't even install this app. He is on Google Pixel 8. Kept getting a try again mesaage over and over.
I downloaded the app recently cause I had a chance to play a bit, and the app is keeping info behind the spacemarines/Dark angels codex locked and it sends me to the website where it says I have the books unlocked and then I click the book there and it sends me to a 404 error page, I remember why I deleted it last time because it did this as well why is it so difficult to make a easy to use app/website

it is pointless because you need to buy the codex too, which is expensive, I tried the app in hopes ot was at least gonna be cheaper but sadly no, it easy to use tho.

One feature I'd love to see, is a "collection" tab, which everything you buy, you can put into the collection, and look at the breakdown for models/factions/armies. But, I know its probably never gonna happen...

I've added my codex with code to my account, but it still keeps asking me to register a codex to be able to do anything with my roster sheet.

Better then the old one. Still needs some work. If the whole squad needs the same thing I shouldn't have to put the option in one at a time for each guy. Sync between devices would be nice as well. Needing a codex and a yearly subscription is to much. One or the other. Right now I just use this to look up the free rules. This also needs army filter options
As everyone has already stated, it's a lovely app and great for list building, but charging £6 a month is outrageous as you have already spent nearly £30-40 on the codex which is out of date after 3 months. It should be very simple: you have paid for the codex, you get to write as many lists under that codex as you wish free of charge. Paying twice is disgusting and the price gouge will eventually lead to customers getting fed up of the business model and printing every model themselves.
Am I missing something? I've been a subscriber from (almost) day 1 and have loved the functionality. However, I just logged in from a new device for the first time and none of my lists are available. What!? I must be missing something. Please tell me I don't have to re-enter the dozens of lists I pay for.
decent app... but make the codexes free with WH+ because its not worth the price for additional army lists only and give us access to legends models like the AOS app and it'd be close to perfect
