No matter how many times you check that sound is off, you get blasted with obnoxious ad sounds that can't be escaped without closing and forfeiting your game.

There are ads in the middle of a round. It makes it more annoying to play the game than fun. I expect an ad at the end of a round, but ads that lock you in right in the middle of playing are too much.

The ads were so long and intrusive, they literally make you play a game you don't want and then automatically redirects you, without your approval, to the Google play page for the game. I play Wordle for 1 min and then have to wait 2-3 min just to make it through the ad. Also, I don't see any tutorial on how to play, I had to Google it. I am not paying full price for Wordle without trying it out and I can't try it out relaxed so, no thank you.
what started out as a fun idea for a game quickly turned ridiculous when within the scope of one puzzle there was ads every other guess not like between puzzles or anything but every other guess. we all know that these things are out there to make money.... but every other gas is stupid

Another fake offline game with tons of ads. It doesn't even let you finish a word. You get an ad while guessing words.

2 years later, tried again, and its just as bad if not WORSE than before with the ads, thanks for the robotic reply from years back, and seeing the copy and paste joke reply you continue to give everyone else with the same ad issue, it's even WORD FOR WORD the same as the one you gave me 2 years back. No one is fixing the ads, I'm avoiding you guys for falsely replying about fixing your ads.
I used to like this app because it was entertaining and not very time consuming. However, it's AWFUL now. The advertising is rampant. Solving a single word may have several ads and the advertising before and after each word is so numerous that all you end up doing is watching ads while occasionally solving a word in between. Even if you decline ads for extra coins, you're stuck watching ads anyway. It's also very common now for ads to be back to back when you skip. It's brutal. It's an ad app.
I want my old version of wordle. I can't play with my family members who have the old version. Even the daily word I'd different.
Ads are extremely frustrating, also cannot seem to get out of them and back to the Wordle game. I will be uninstalling.

Loved this for the first while. It doesn't get longer words though, nor are they more obtuse, so after a while it's boring. update: I came back to this game to play it again after taking a year to off. The commercials the ads are unbearable. there's way too many, and they run way too long, so and taking off stars. what a shame, it ruins the game!

Way too many popups everytime you launch the app. There should be a way to disable all of them. I paid to remove ads, but really they're still advertising, just advertising their own game modes every you open the app.
