Question
It is either not working, has changed or trying to force me to upgrade without any explanation
Terrible
Stop the review prompts. App is broken
Terrible update
I hate the numbers, bring back the graphics on the home page. Easier and quicker to register at a glance
Not useful
The metrics don’t line up with how I feel or what my trainer says. The battery drops while I sleep every night but my HR and HRV get better. My load is well past improving and my trainer says I need to not overtrain but this thinks I could do more. So overall doesn’t give me sensible information
Used to be great
I got this app and all the analysis was included in the yearly subscription. After about a month they changed the subscription model so that although I had paid I no longer had access to the majority of the analysis. Extremely dissatisfied.
Inconsistent
I cut my time by 1.5 minutes for a 2 mile walk and my VO2 max went down instead of up.
Erratic Data Capture
Generally the data in Athlytic doesn’t seem to align with my primary data source - my Apple Watch - which makes me doubt the truth of any of its metrics.
Not for strength trainers
A primary reason to have an app like this is to utilize the information to guide your training. The exertion measure is geared towards cardio respiratory excercise, so even though there are some clear signs I need to lessen my volume, the app is telling me I’m either maintaining my current level of fitness or in restorative mode. Basically it doesn’t track the intensity of a lift and thus the information isn’t helpful to me. The type of person using apps to track data are likely already fitness enthusiasts and, to be real, our number one problem is overtraining. Misinformation like this could have easily lead me to overtrain even more if I didn’t know better.
Truly a Mixed Bag
The Exquisite → (1) Pretty much nails Garmin’s patented “Body Battery” declaration, typically & consistently coming within 3-5 points of that gold standard metric. Goes a long way in prevent-injury guidance. (2) VO2Max / “Cardio Fitness” likewise shadows Garmin’s figure. (But, this ain’t the only one to nail it.)
The Egregious → First app encountered -on any platform since the respective App Stores materialized- that offers tags, yet refuses to permit creating your own. A year-old Reddit thread instead confirms you “ask the dev.” Yeah, & I’ll ask mommie for a taffy while I’m at it. UnFrigginReal.
The Excruciating → (1) The color-coded Trends charts desperately need work. Deciphering relies on guesses, since the presentation makes it dang near impossible to discern your color-coded actual status. Thankfully, the numbers-as-conclusion helps, but gees. (2) “Generating today’s analysis” takes soooo long I’ve yet to see that claimed feature. Truly a Mickey Mouse implementation. (3) The sibling Pace app should have been included here. But the team preferred a brutally obvious money grab.
Bottom-line: uninstalled.

Weird readings
I want to love this app, I really do. But I have been on 100% recovery for about 2 weeks now (I’ve worn my Apple Watch with afib history on for years so it’s not a lack of data). I just don’t believe it. Other apps, with the same Watch data, are different and more represent how I feel. 100% should be rare IMO, not an every day thing.
Trys hard, not great
I've been using Athlytic now for nearly six months. At first, as it learned my workout behavior it was okay. It seemed reasonable and was generally tracking with what I was feeling. But about a month in it started telling me I was overreaching all the time (this is partly due to Apple's cappy RHR sampling iykyk). So in addition resync'ing all the time, I listened and backed off and was then met with an ever spiraling overreaching metric all the time. Never to crawl out from under it. Once the baseline was established, I was never going to not overreach in it's eyes.
Moral of the story is these algorithms try but are always just kind of guessing. I'm a fit 46yo with a BHR in the high 40's who runs 15-20-miles a week and rides my bike an additional 30-40 miles. Apparently as an older athlete I was always over my limits.
I did not enjoy my time with Athlytic and even though I have six months left on my subscription, I will be deleting the app from my phone.

Not happy w Changes
Changes are usually good for for good reason but w the latest change I can not see the details on each workout. For example when doing SIT training, previously I was able to see all phases of the workout and heart rate showing intensity. Now I'm no longer able to see that. Will probably discontinue the app because of this. Not as user friendly as before. Very disappointed!
Skip if glp use
This app is focused on hrv. Glps lower hrv so app always says not to work out post glp. Bad advice and algorithm
Beware of the trial period.
I wanted to try this app because I like to see how much fat I burn during workouts and I like to adjust them accordingly unfortunately, this app doesn’t show that me $30 without a warning that I was going to be charged and now I have to keep it for a year. I think that is bad business.
Overrated
It looks snazzy, but it will do things like change your waking recovery score hours after you woke up, not noticie you went to sleep, and lock up when looking at workout data. BTW, the developer sent me a response saying what I describe couldn’t possibly happen, and if it did, it’s Apple’s fault.
