As much as I would love to give this app 5 stars, BeReal is actively partnering with companies such as Polymarket who engage in extremely deceptive marketing. WSJ recently discovered that they have been using a fake URL with the name “Poiymarket” (with the i capitalized), which influencers used to show off fake bets under the guise that they were real and making money off of them. Seeing as this app is specifically targeted towards younger audiences, please stop giving these predatory prediction markets a platform to advertise.

my timeline …
I’ve had bereal for about four years and it used to be a really good but now they have ai people on there and there designed to lure kids. To the short answer is if you don’t mind that get it, but if you’re uncomfortable with that as I am do not download it
Crashing constsntly
I continuously have to redownload the app for it to work. It freezes on the loading screen and only opens once I redownload it. After I close it, I must do this again to simply open it. Please fix this it is so terrible and the app would be 5 stars otherwise.
Obnoxious notifications
I deleted BeReal because of the obnoxious World Cup notifications. If I wanted to be spammed about sports I would have used a sports app.

Stop spamming me with so many notifications. You don’t have to keep me updated on the World Cup bro that’s not why I downloaded BeReal. It’s a million other notifications every other day trying to get me on the app. Isn’t BeReal supposed to be for getting on the app one time a day? You lost the plot.

Somebody thought it would be a good idea to send unsolicited notifications that spoil world cup games by giving away the scores. All in a self-centered effort to get people to post.

so it is a great app but i got suspended for posting my bereal and it was just the sky and the pool so i dont know what’s up with that .

Messages suck the be reals on messages you can’t send somtimes and it glitches otherwise the app works fine
