Arguably the worst mobile app I’ve ever used.

The AI is questionable. After coding something, 4 messages later, it basically forgets what it codes and forgets your name TOO. Honestly, I am saying this again, it is like the developers and coders didn’t even try to test it and will think that everything will be okay.

Terrible editing
This app needs a lot of work. When trying to edit text, for some reason it moves the image up to the top of the screen every single time. I don’t want to move the image off the screen, I WANT TO SEE THE IMAGE AND THE TEXT WHILE I’M EDITING. So I tried to ‘Ask Canva’ how to keep it from doing that and it told me I’m using a non-English font… I selected the Antique Olive font FROM THE LIST OF ENGLISH FONTS IT GAVE ME. So then it apologized and offered the same exact response… I pay $119.99 and I believe it’s not worth $60. Now maybe there’s some menu or adjustment that I’m unaware of that prevents the image from jumping up off the screen when editing, but why couldn’t I find it and why couldn’t it’s own AI tell me where it’s at? I’m consulting with my team and I think we’re going to cancel our subscription and go to a more professional editing software; this one adds WAY TO MUCH TIME trying to do what should only take a normal amount of editing time. Sorry Canva… this is just now worth $120 a year….
I received a response that confirms they partially read my review. And it was almost rude. Maybe they don’t need paying customers? Maybe the free accounts get better service? Not a good service and not one we’ll continue paying for. GIMP is looking really good right about now, and it’s free.

This app pisses me off
So frustrating
AI non-support
Canva has transitioned toward fully AI-powered customer support. So if you need help with anything, you are only getting bot-support. If you open a ticket and request an email or call, you are STILL talking to a condescending bot. You can continue to escalate the issue, but not without investing significant time and repeating bf yourself over and over and over again. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Absolutely awful to use on an iPhone
To create an app and then charge someone a monthly fee and then put a limit on how much they can use. The app is absolutely asinine. Then I’ll use AI just to create a background. I’m doing all the other work and it stops me and says I can’t do this and can’t do that. It doesn’t save it as a template. It is not user-friendly at all. Do not bother.
Cancellation Issues 😡
I Tina Williams has been trying to cancel this subscription since February and now back at it again and still CANNOT!
Change in setup
Really tired of the constant layout change. Working on a video and suddenly it change it to a presentation setup instead of the timeline. Now I have to do everything again.
Difficult to navigate
I feel like they could make this app way easier to navigate if they wanted to.

Great & Simple Adobe Aternative
... BUT full of ongoing glitches and constant new features makes it slower and cumbersome and chaotic!! both iPad and Mac apps crash constantly. Small little powerful and great features become ongoing nuances… like powerful slide shows that you create and present awry every time you present them using the app presentation feature or even presentation link… managing small simple tasks like moving objects with your cursor or selecting objects glitch while you're trying to design something and/or everything... I'm not sure if the app is worth my time and energy anymore. It's definitely great for very simple, simple, simple designs you want to get out quickly.
