Basically Got Scammed
Horrible, horrible customer service. I asked for a refund for a yearly subscription back in January for a yearly subscription that was purchased by a minor. Per their own policy I was eligible for a refund but I was aware that I may not get one and I would just have a service I may or may not use. HOWEVER, they DID cancel the subscription but NEVER refunded me! So essentially I’m out of $107 dollars and unable to use this dang subscription. Add to it that there is no way to speak with an actual person. So it’s all through email and they sent an email that my inquiry was resolved but yet not sure How? Because I never recieved an actual response and the account is still the SAME!

Случайной удалила, сказала заново и стал какой-то ужас, приложение ужасно работает стало больно платки, видео не возможно сделать. Можешь что-то сделать, это любимое приложение чтобы монтировать но походу его нужно менять.

I couldn’t do anything on CapCut. I didn’t wanna pay for everything because it was too expensive. I don’t want to try seven days for free. I couldn’t even screen record. It made me stop screen recording CapCut used to be a fun app, but it is no longer fun. It won’t let us do anything without paying it changed. I hate it worst app ever.
It was ok until pro came along.
Exactly like the title says, each time you go to edit in the app, all the good effects are pro. You can’t even make a free edit anymore without going to templates. Even the most basic things like, smooth slow motion and motion blur. And when you go to screen record your edits since you can’t extract due to the fact half the effects are pro now, the quality is low, and it’s extremely laggy. I don’t know why you keep on insisting on making almost every single thing on your app pro, but just know you’re only driving users away.

They’ve made almost all the basic features paid now 😡 What’s next - charging for video uploads too? This is really disappointing and feels unfair to loyal users. I honestly can’t recommend the app anymore 👎 There are plenty of free alternatives out there, so it might be worth switching and uninstalling this app 🚫📱

This entire app is just TikTok for restricted kids. Filled to the brim with almost nothing but hate on Trump, hate on ice, and any other republican alive. Most of it is just some random kids randomly and the occasional edit.
This app is great but one problem

I recorded an hour worth of gameplay with my mic on and when I put it in CapCut to edit, my voice disappeared.. like in the photos app, I can clearly hear my voice and I can hear myself speak but when I export it Into CapCut, my voice is gone. I just lost an hours worth of recording. Also this app is very buggy and very stingy when it comes to effects, transitions, animations, etc. EVERYTIME I use an effect(or anything for the matter) it’s standard… and when you do accidentally use a standard feature, you have to go through everything to find what that one feature was. Like at least show us where it is? I vividly remeber spending 30 minutes trying to find a standard sound.. like bro. I was also looking for another standardized feature called “reduce noise”.. wasn’t fun because I had to look through half an hour of audios to find that one little standard feature. Also, when I accidentally clicked on the standard purchase button or whatever, I clicked off but when I went back to my project, everyone was set to volume 0. I had to change everything back to its original volume… and there wasn’t even a “apply to all” feature. Everything in this app is standard.. breathing? Standard.. living? Standard.. everything just standard. And for those who don’t know what I mean by standard, it’s the apps way of saying premium.. pls don’t waste your time, storage, and energy on this so called “editing app” just use alight motion. This app couldn’t get more buggy or greedy. Have a NOT blessed day.

Using AI for customer service
I purchased a deal for the subscription at $0.99, and later the same day was offered the pro for $19.99. As I hadn’t started receiving Pro benefits, I’d thought my charge hadn’t gone through as it hadn’t hit my bank, so I went ahead and purchased that as I need an editing app. The Pro benefits still did not work - not after logging out and back in, not after uninstalling and reinstalling. So I submitted a ticket with CapCut and unfortunately they seem to be using AI for customer service. They asked me to confirm if I’d purchased pro before or after I was logged in and how I purchased Pro. I let them know I was logged in, and had purchased via the app downloaded from the App Store. They proceeded to email me the exact same questions in response TWICE. It took me three emails explaining that information, before they gave me a long list of things I apparently had to do to fix THEIR bug. I don’t work for CapCut, and this issue isn’t on my end. Nothing they told me to do worked, and all of the emails were written like AI and constantly repeating. CapCut never did anything on their end to restore the benefits I purchased. I became frustrated and requested a refund and cancellation of my subscription. They refunded the $0.99 immediately (it did later show in my bank account), but when I pointed out that they hadn’t refunded the $19.99, they suddenly needed my region, my CapCut ID, if I was using the app or the PC/web, CCID, device ID, how I purchased the subscription. Again, all of this was already provided. They can’t even be bothered to have real people assist their paying customers. Still waiting for that $19.99, when it took them 24hours and no additional info provided for the $0.99 refund.

Good but can’t use it

If I could get a build from four years ago, I would do so in a heartbeat. Ever since they opted for shoving AI into every oriface of this app it’s all gone downhill

New update removed avatars and text to voice
I am a pro subscriber and the avatar feature disappeared. The help button is broken. I will be happy to change this review once this is fixed.

Don’t waste your time unless you plan to pay for it
There are a lot of features and it’s fairly user friendly but you can’t export anything without paying. There’s no warning that you are absolutely wasting your time until you’re finished and ready to upload it. Be prepared to pay or stay away.
