Connection issues
Today is May 6th, 2026 and I have had nothing but streaming issues. I use 1000mbs internet and this is the only app that gives me connection issues. It doesn’t matter if I use my 5G cell phone, WiFi, the app on the phone or the smart tv app, I am having the same issues. I keep all my devices up to date. The issue is on all platforms including HULU, Disney +, but ESPN is the worst. The cost is not worth it anymore especially because adds have been added… there’s not enough new content to make the price worthy. YouTube TV is probably my preferred streaming app and then Peacock and Apple TV. This app needs to catch up.
Very Disappointing.
I am very dissatisfied with the experience on this platform. Despite paying for a monthly subscription, every episode I watch contains multiple ads, which makes it feel no different than paying for cable. I am also disappointed by the amount of weight-loss medication advertisements being shown, especially on a platform primarily associated with family and children’s entertainment. As a parent, I do not think children should be repeatedly exposed to ads focused on weight loss and medication while watching shows on this app.

Never works past 1st commercial break
My experience with this app is that it is very laggy and glitchy when streaming on our television. On the iPad it is fine, but when we play it on the TV, it always plays until the first ad, then the entire ad plays, and then it just freezes indefinitely. This is the only streaming service we have where this is repeatedly an issue. HBO Max is great, Hulu is great, Amazon Prime is great…my overall experience with Disney+ is incredibly disappointing.
Terrible Functionality
The only streaming app that takes forever to load, then the audio doesn’t match the video or the screen is black. I’ve also had to rewatch the same ads over and over because I have to reload the app. It’s annoying.
No longer supports iPad Pro
You’re literally forcing school teachers out of your service because we can’t afford a brand new iPad to stream you content. Wow. Ridiculous.
Not The Same
Honestly there’s nothing I loved more than Disney, however I dare say it is NOT the same, no longer any beauty or creativity in the movies. After becoming an app and shutting down its channel Disney has NOT been the same, their subscriptions are so pricy and still gives you ads, no new movies or teen shows are coming out and it’s all the same it feels repetitive. Personally I would suggest to not get it most people would get bored within a month or two, they’re just using their name to get money out of your pocket by this point, not worth more than 15 dollars, it simply doesn’t have the shine it once had.
Great Content, terrible reliability
The Disney+ service across all platforms is one of the worst digital experiences you can have. Buffering, random shutdowns, “there is trouble loading your content” messages, are the standard. It doesn’t matter if you are trying to watch an episode of a simple show or a two hour movie, you will likely have it fail. Sometimes it is comical (it failed right after Yoda said “there is no try, do or do not” to which my kid said I guess it does not). Mostly it is just as disappointing as a 3 hour line for space mountain lots of idle time waiting for content that is still fun but you’ve already experienced. And before we blame network, carrier, or device, this happens at home on 1+Gig fiber connection as well on mobile devices on WiFi and cellular.

No more a-z lists
This app was perfect. Now with the latest update the movie categories have gone from easy to navigate a-z lists to an absolute mess. It makes me want to not scroll and look for something to watch. I found myself just going to a different app to watch something. Why ruin such a good thing?!

You people can’t do anything right.
Skip intro and next episode pop ups are STILL flawed even though this issue was flagged over one year ago. Audio is also still messed up; if I minimize your app to open something else while I continue to leave a show or movie playing, your audio levels should not be dropping by 80%. They should remain exactly the same. Why is it that no other platform has these rudimentary issues? Hulu is wasted on you. Also there is literally ZERO reason your app should fail to launch 40% of the time it’s opened. You people should be embarrassed.

I love disney and all of the content in disney plus… HOWEVER, THE APP IS TRASH! no matter what device I use it’s still glitchy and malfunctioning constantly.
FYI: My household has iPhones 11, 15 Pro, 15 Plus, & 17 Pro. I also have an iPad 11 Pro M4, a MacBook Air M2, a Samsung smart tv, an Insignia FireTV, & a Vizio smart tv. i’ve updated the app on each and every device to ensure that I did my part.
Whenever I try to streamcast, it NEVER works, or at least for the last 19 months it hasn’t. When I try to log into another device by opening my phone’s app and verifying that it’s me, it NEVER works! Basically anything other than just watching the show/movie directly on the device is glitchy & 95% of the time it’s going to malfunction & forcefully close by shutting down.

App Erroring out on Apple and Android
The app will cast to any TV but when you pick something, anything to watch nothing loads. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled. Logged in and out and nothing is fixing this. I’ve tried on both iOS and android and it’s the same issue.

Not user friendly, scummy ad placement
Disney has great shows, but I’ve always had a terrible experience with logging in to a new tv especially after my account was hacked. Nothing about it is user friendly, which surprises me as I usually have no problem with any other streaming service. Additionally, pushing ads right before the end of an episode (5-15 seconds left in the episode) is scummy in my opinion. Really dislike how the service is run.

45 minute show turned into a 1:15 minute torture. Non stop ads. When the show starts I get 5 seconds of play n screen freezes for 10 seconds. Can’t say it’s my wifi cuz the ads run perfectly w no issue’s.would not recommend this app unless they fix their garbage servers
Good until it wasn’t: Ads and downloads
All of the stellar reviews I’ve seen are from a year ago, and they don’t account for the drastic changes in Disney+! Disney+ used to be great, but corporate greed got to them, and now you have to pay more to watch without ads and download movies. I used to use Disney+ all of the time and really felt the magic that Disney stands for, but now I never, EVER, use it because it just pisses me off. The ads are suffocating and irritating. Not being able to download anything just makes it even worse. I would happily pay for a streaming service with no ads and the ability to download, like Netflix, and use it to no end because you can never find a service like that! Disney should project magic and kindness and joy for everyone, but this does the opposite.
