I have the free version but noticed I was charged $119.88 which is for a plus service. I looked further into the matter and it seems I’ve been charged multiple years for a service I don’t receive. It’s impossible to find anywhere on the app to check billing or remove a credit card on file. Do not get Dropbox as they are unreliable and obviously stealing money

Not syncing with sonix ai and Final Cut
Not syncing with sonix ai and Final Cut like it used to. I can’t upload video to sonix from Dropbox like I had been for over a month now I’m being forced to download the video to my computer and drag it into sonix. With Final Cut the videos will not save and have the error message and takes over two hours to upload to Dropbox. Needs fixing ASAP
Shared files
Dropbox will no longer allow me to view a shared file for free. I haven’t downloaded anything. No matter what I do, I keep getting the subscription screen. I can’t view or save anything. This is ridiculous!

This poor app won’t let me remove my card off its platform at all it’s terrible keeps trying to charge my 200 for nothing and won’t let me remove my card.
Fraud
Noticed monthly charges in my bank account from Dropbox that had gone unnoticed for a couple years! I never signed up for a dropbox plus account, and someone fraudulently used my card information to do so. The email associated with my card information in dropbox’s database
did not belong to me, and was not a valid email.
Dropbox support kept gaslighting me, and told me they would refund part of the money to the original payment method, which I already had to cancel due to the fraud. Then they said they were downgrading my account, but it wasn’t even my account! I had a basic free Dropbox account that I hadn’t used in years! They never apologized or took accountability. They continued to make it sound, as if it was my fault, even though I have no access to this Dropbox account that used my payment information.
It’s clear that Dropbox doesn’t have proper safeguards in place to prevent users from signing up with an invalid email address, and fraudulently using someone else’s payment information. Why someone would commit credit card fraud for a Dropbox account is beyond me. I would have gone for something better, like a streaming subscription.

CAUTION! ! unauthorized charge of annual subscription
I was signed up for the free trial and canceled the subscription before expiration, however, right after the free trial expiration, Dropbox charged me around 180USD, which later I realize is the amount of their full annual subscription fee… I NEVER subscribed. My apple account shows that my subscription with Dropbox was already expired I contacted Dropbox and no one replied my email.

Beware!! Careful using this App as Dropbox becomes unfriendly when cancelling a paid subscription or when attempting to cancel without complete login credentials. After cancelling a paid subscription, Dropbox makes it painful with a never ending daily pop-up message that does not have a decline option, nearest reply being remind me later. “Later” being one day later!

Worst app ever
I will never work with A photographer that use this app. Is TERRIBLE. The UX for user experience is so amateur. I can’t even save a picture without paying the app because they sent a link, than if I open a picture to save and go back, it LEAVES the folder with the pictures, forcing you to open the link again to be able to save more. Is a user experience problem. I can’t pin or save the folder without paying. Terrible I hate so much

I’ve had drop box for a very long time. Now they are trying to make me pay to see my own pictures? It is not my problem you decided to start charging now to use your app.

Ghost file duplication
Recently this app continues to duplicate the same file over and over again or as I have hundreds of copies of the same file when I have not requested this. This is a glitch in the app. Additionally, there is no way to contract customer support without paying for a higher plan. Please fix this glitch.

Yet , between Google Drive, and Apple iCloud, as well as “built in access your desktop anywhere,” it seems like a subscription which ranges from $20/month to $6/month isn’t worth it for something needed only a few times a year. Esp since the biggest damn rip off is paying for the same thing on two different operating systems. They never seem to remember “I paid for it elsewhere.”

Request Signature Error
Every time I open a document in the app and select “Request Signatures”, the app immediately closes. It doesn’t give an error message or anything. It just crashes and kicks me out.
I’ve already deleted and reinstalled the app, restarted my devices, and tested it on both my iPhone and iPad. The same thing happens every single time.
What’s confusing is that I can still send signature request through Safari, so my account appears to be working. The issue seems to be with the app itself.
I use Dropbox Sign regularly for my business contracts, and one of the main reasons I pay for the service is the convenience of being able to send documents from my devices. Having to constantly switch to a browser workaround is inconvenient and defeats the purpose of the app.
I’ve sent emails to get help, and I can’t find a good number to call. I just want to see if this can get fixed or if I must go with another company.

App freezes up
Been using Dropbox for years now without issues. But the last update to the app is very very unstable. App freezes more often than not when I’m trying to open it. Off line or not. (phone and iPad app are equally bad).
Also removing the sync button in the “Manage offline files” was a terrible update. I used it to refresh my offline files every now and then to keep it all synced. Please bring it back.

Cannot search by newest, keeps defaulting to Relevance even after I select Modified by Newest. Provides terrible results, missing obvious recent documents. Did it break because they added AI…?
