Won’t download
I keep trying to download from the App Store. It’s forever “loading” reached out for support and nobody got back to me

Stop cutting features
Give us back the ability to copy/paste text wth! And we need folders too

Copy/paste for Text blocks
Return the copy paste for text blocks between projects. Why did you remove this functionality? Now every time you need to create text blocks and look for styles and fonts, why do you complicate editing? It’s better to add the ability to save ready-made text blocks with styles.
The music keeps unavailable
Sad. Is there a way I can keep my video audio if some other people’s original audio disappeared? I am so tired of this

Buggy
I’ve never written a review before. But by far this is the worst app I’ve ever had that’s been this bugged. I’ve tried editing 10 videos on here and everytime it’s never once worked or loaded properly. Even just to prep/ upload a 15 second long video in 2k it takes 3 minutes and it always has an error regarding the audio being used. Absolutely ridiculous for a large company.
Glitchy Captions
Captions feature is extremely glitchy. Ghost types. Plays audio suddenly without pressing buttons. Merges cuts in a way I can’t describe bcs I’ve never seen in all my years of editing. Nearly worthless captions feature
Please fix the Sound issue
after exporting some videos have a weird sound.
Major issues
Original i felt like this was going to be a great app. But lately, when I try to have it generate captions, it throws a lot of craziness into it like repeating the words “and chaos and chaos and chaos”. Only about 100 times. And if I try to edit the madness, it won’t use what I enter.
Annoying buggy and missing features
No volume key frames. Fails to post to Instagram. Lackluster editing experience copied from CapCut. Wait for on screen export. What a lame attempt.
Constant freezing
I’ve been using Edits for quite some time and while there are some things I like about it, as a creator, it’s full of glitches that kill your workflow. I’m constantly having to shut it down and restart it to finish small tasks. I had to stop uploading directly from Edits to my IG account because it would just freeze killing your algorithm.
It’s terrible
It messes with what you are doing , confuses the app and you end up losing what you are working on
Royalty free music
The app updated and now my only option is royalty free music. I’ve made no changes to my account type.
Needs to be fixed
You spend a lot of time editing and it keeps freezing unable to save, you just waste your time.
Randomly deletes projects
This app just cost me so much work and time. Without warning 5 of my projects just completely disappeared. They are gone. No way to figure out where the files are at. Do not use this app to record anything and record it from your camera app instead. These projects were saved and named and are just gone out of nowhere. Cannot believe this app has so many issues and has ruined countless hours of work with no way to even attempt to figure out where the files are at. Ridiculous.
BUGS
Glitching a lot. Videos come out dark even when exporting in HDR. And sometimes videos won’t fully export causing you to remake the entire thing.
glitchy
features are chronically breaking and not working, been trying to record videos in 3X speed, hasn’t worked for weeks only works when slowing down video, and 2X, when you try to do 3X it just records in regular speed and then speeds it up after. Also the key frame feature barely works. I’ve tried to add in key frames to modulate opacity, position, and lighting details, but none of them seem to work in the only parameter that is affected by key frames is transform position. Please fix these bugs!
Wish it worked
I was so excited to learn about this app because I use Instagram to post a lot of my edited videos and have been searching for a new editing app to use as my usual one is so old now. But after trying to use it for the past three days I’m so sad that it’s not working. I don’t know if my iPad is just not “new” enough for the app to 100% work on but it’s so glitchy and too frustrating to use. First the app doesn’t load anything at all on wifi, it only works somewhat without being connected which is weird. Once I’m able to work on something and add overlays, if I try to play the video to see my progress, sometimes all my overlays just disappear or they don’t go away at all when I need them too. And if I want to leave my project, pressing the ‘X’ at the top left corner does absolutely nothing, which means I have to completely close the app everytime I need to leave my project, and I have no idea if my progress is being saved when I do that, so far it has been. Then the options just sometimes aren’t there! I swear I had to close out the app two or three times before I could finally find the ‘effects’ option. I wish I could use the app since it’s connected right to my saved audios on my insta and it seems like it would be easy to figure out but all the glitches make it too time consuming and annoying and I’m pretty sure it would take me forever to get any projects done. I’ve tried deleting the app three times now and checking for software updates, restarting my iPad two or three times and I don’t think it’s a me problem at this point. Really upset I can’t use this app and wish there was something I could do.
App no longer working
I’ve used edits for a while and have enjoyed it. Out of the blue it just quit working. I could no longer export my videos. I’ve updated the app, cleared my cache, and cleaned up my storage. No change. My exports get to 70% then fail. The support page wasn’t helpful.

I used this and posted 3 videos to FB and my FB account got permanently disabled. They were just videos for an open House. Least to say I’m not happy with this app!!

Why remove music within Instagram??
I get that you can’t export licensed music. But why does it remove the music when I try to share my edit as a message to a friend to get their feedback before I post???
bom mas poderia melhorar, principalmente pra edição da velocidade de áudio gravado por cima.
entre outras coisas, mas imagino que é um app pra edição de vídeos menos complexos ou mais curtos.
Kraft Geek Remote issue only within app
So I purchased a Kraft geek tripod with camera shutter remote specifically to make reels through the Edits app. It worked for the first couple of days and then out of the blue without changing any settings. It stopped, controlling the camera shutter and started controlling the volume within the app. It works in the native camera app on the iPhone. I have an iPhone 17 Pro. The whole purpose of this entire set up was to be able to use the remote in conjunction with the edit software. I have tried every workaround. I have been able to research and nothing seems to work.

At go dark on export
Instagram really needs to fix this bug, when a creator spends hours on content, and upon export, everything goes dark. Been a loyal Edits user, but this issue was actually messing with workflow at this point. Sometimes it works fine, other times it goes and gets buggy.
needs to auto save more!
there have been several times where i was editing a video for 1 hour+ and then lock my phone for a moment to deal with the dog or something and suddenly when i open my phone back up edits has closed itself and restarted where i was 40 minutes ago! very annoying 🫠😵💫
WAY too many bugs
Missing captions, buggy UI, the app kicking you to the start or end of your video randomly…way too many bugs that have persisted for as long as they have. Decent app, has some good features, but borderline inexcusable for a Meta product.
iPad app is tiny
They need to update the app for iPads. Would love a much bigger size to see while editing
