A shameless, pathetic cash grab
You can’t see photos or chat with your matches without paying, so what’s the point? If Tinder has more free functionality than you, you’re you’re not doing your job.
Not for married people
There is no option to select “married” under marriage status, and marriage status is a required question. At least on CMB it’s not required. For further context: I’m in an open relationship, looking for friends with benefits, but shy and anxious in bars and parties so I’m trying different dating apps.

Eharmony has successfully been taken to court in class action suits in Australia and California, for locking customers in to long term contracts even when the customer deletes their profile I have been trying for two weeks to cancel future payments after using the app for six day and discovering they had virtually no users in my area. They deliver a shoddy product, which is why they fight so hard to keep customers locked in against their will even after they fail to deliver a product as described. Buyer beware-Eharmony should be investigated by the FTC for fraudulent practices

I joined as a paid subscriber for three months, thinking this app was better given its more detailed and elaborate approach. As soon as I joined, I immediately got a couple of likes but they were all from 100+ miles away. Then I noticed a pattern, all the “women” were sending messages saying that they wanted to connect immediately and sending their phone numbers disguisedly so the app wouldn’t catch. I’ve reported several profiles but they kept coming. There were only two legit connections: one from 100s of miles away and one that we exchanged a few words. I’m assuming so far that she is a real profile! There haven’t been any new profiles for weeks. They ran out of profiles in Miami/Fort Lauderdale on the 2nd or 3rd day. Absolutely horrible. Too many scammers and no real profiles.
Response to developer: I know how to report a profile. As a matter of fact, that’s pretty much all I’ve done. I paid eharmony to meet people, not for me to clean up the app.

Mobile App missing critical functionality
Avoid this app. Too costly and you won’t receive all the functionality. You cannot see a list of potential matches unless using desktop/laptop and a browser. Tried following up asking for a profile reset after reaching out to customer service but was given an AI response that didn’t address the issue. Ridiculous prices
They say they’re the most trusted dating site. But, then they want to lock you in for a six month payment plan for $90 a month on their cheapest option if you guys are so confident, why do you want to lock people into a contract? And then if they find somebody within the first couple of months, they just stopped making people. Get real.
Dead and way overpriced
You know they’re not into matching people permanently when they require a 2yr subscription. The lowest subscription is $400 and there isn’t ONE profile visible in the Capitol city with 500k population.
BEWARE OF THIS APP!!
This app is just another repulsive money grab. For me personally, it was a ghost town. The only reason I even took the chance to download this app was because it was highly rated as “outstanding” by Forbes. It’s not. READ VERY CAREFULLY before buying the premium subscription, because if you get buyers remorse & decide to delete your account it’s impossible. They extort you & make you pay the ENTIRE 3 month subscription, as refunds are only available in 12 states in the US. Within a 3 day window as well. Eharmony is no different than any of these other dating apps that lock even the most basic features & filters behind a paywall. AN EXPENSIVE ONE AT THAT. Apparently, if you don’t pay them, they can send you to collections which will affect your credit score. I implore you, please think very carefully before using this app. If you contact customer care, I advise you to take screen shots of the conversations & keep all emails exchanged, for your protection. I have had more success with other alternatives, even a free one on a major social media platform. This is definitely a 0 out of 10. BUYER BEWARE.
Paywall for Everything
Required 20 minute personality test, THEN a PREMIUM subscription is REQUIRED If you want to even see profile pictures (every profile is blurred unless u pay), you can’t even message a match or filter potential profiles by location unless you pay.. Before I pay for anything, I would like to see if there are any profiles in my area. Sometimes nobody uses these platforms and that’s why they try to force you to buy subscriptions before finding that out.

Total Rip Off
The only decent thing I can say is the personality test to help you “match”. Other than that, this is just a way to rip you off. After only “matching” with maybe 5 local people (I’m not in a small town) and contacting them to cancel two days after signing up I’m told I’m going to be forced to pay another $204. Make sure you’re in a state that forces them to give you a three-day cancellation period. This “service” sucks.

Met a really nice person on eharmony few years ago. We dated for little over 2 years, we knew from the beginning it wasn’t going to be a forever match. We lived 90 minutes apart each close to family, kids grandkids and her parents.
I tried eharmony again this year, terrible experience with no customer support.
I receive emails notifying me I received a message or a like.
But not visible on the app or website. I’ve reached out more than 1/2 dozen times and each time I get a different form letter. No support whatsoever. It’s like they don’t even read my concerns.

If you want to waste your money and time then join eharmony.
After several weeks of phony ads, weird connections and ghosted communications I cancelled this account. They still charged me. Poor business, zero integrity company. Seriously don’t bother. Spend your time and money reading a book in a park.

Horrible
Worst app ever. Wasn’t able to get a match. Eharmony makes extremely hard to cancel. I did cancel my membership now they are sending me to collections. So much love for a company that supposedly was there to help you out. Never seen someone sent to collections because of a dating app.
Photo cropping is lame
Yeah, I was considering paying for a subscription; however, for being so expensive the app/website is NOT the most user-friendly. In fact, I think it’s archaic and the worst compared to similar sites. The photo cropping feature is lame and really annoying. You can’t even use most the photos of you. You also can’t even see what your profile looks like to other users. It’s just a series of bad decisions when the app was created. I will not be buying a subscription. It is extremely over-priced for a very frustrating experience trying to set up your profile.
Disappointing
Not worth paying for. Be VERY mindful about fine print on memberships: there will be no notification before renewals take place, and they will be three times the price of your original investment!

App never worked as they advertised and promised. Had very few matches show up on app. When I tried to cancel and work out the issues they denied me and eventually sent me to collections. I would avoid using this app.

Auto-renewed my subscription for $952.73 in April 2026 with zero advance notice. Their own Terms promise to notify subscribers before renewal. Their notification settings have 12 options - none for billing. The feature does not exist.

Waste of time and money
Think before signing up for this service. The new format where you can only view one profile and have to make a decision before moving on to a new profile does not help you. If you accidentally click no to a profile when you meant to click yes, you cannot undo this. Almost all individuals do not respond. You receive more fake profiles than you do real. The profile/match algorithm they use is pretty inaccurate/useless since most individuals do not fill out a complete profile.
Pay for EVERYTHING
There is no part of this app that is free. No photos, no messaging. You have no idea what people look like that like you but even if you match, you can’t talk either. Save yourself money and use another free alternative.
Don't download it-it's a total scam.
They make you commit to a subscription or membership that they make you think you can't escape. They charge your card even if you cancel the subscription. You never get a real match, and the app doesn't help you at all. I contacted support, and they didn't offer a solution; they just told me that a subscription and a membership are different things, so don't download this app.

Site is a joke
I was given anyone and anything. No matches and no one that had the same interest or desire as me. They are just here to take your money and won’t you cancel .
Not very useful
I have an issue in respect to the App functionality. The App will not let you view additional profiles beyond the current one, unless you 💗 or X on the profile your viewing. I severely dislike this feature. I personally do not X a profile unless there is a significant reason in the profile to do so. In many cases profiles may seem nice, but have some minor issue, such as being "separated" instead of divorced, or not having a photo. In either case I would never hit the like button, but neither would I hit the X as those are things that might change and if I were to X a profile I would never see those changes. Potentially loosing a good connection. I'm sure there are a host of other things beyond these two examples that could change and would change my opinion on hitting the like💗 button. This problem severely degrades the usefulness of the mobile platform, while the main desktop website doesn't have this problem. I sincerely hope eharmony will have their IT team correct this problem and make the app useful again.
The level of gatekeeping is crazy
You can’t see anyone’s photos without becoming a premium member, and even when you match with someone, YOU CAN’T EVEN TEXT! That’s absolutely crazy. I thought other dating apps were bad, but this one hits a new low🤦
No one in the greater Tampa Bay area?
I live in the Tampa Bay area, which has reasonable population between us, St Pete and the beach towns and yet there are virtually no one in my area. Disappointed in a total waste of money.
So many fake accounts
It use to be such a great app say 8 years ago now it’s just fake profiles and a bad app that no longer lets you define better searches for better matches. Oh how the mighty have fallen. :( also they tempt you with all these new matches when your account expires, it feels like a scam.

Scam and pointless
You can’t see pictures and if you match you can’t message either unless you pay. And it’s outrageously expensive. wtf. Wow people. Greedy much? You can’t even do a free version?

This is the app for you. Every nut job they can find they put em right up there for you. Every single loser with a weird duck collection and questionable intentions with in inanimate objects. They had a free eharmony and so I went on there, but you had to pay a month in advance I didn’t really want to do that but I did so now they keep charging me $40 a month and I’m not even on there! You’re supposed to be able to get your money back but forget that I was only on there five days there was about 10 people on there. This is pitiful. You’ll be sorry if you sign up for this I keep telling him to quit charging me but they won’t instead of it being one month which I paid for now they’re charging me $160!!!

Unless you’re in a very Large city like LA or something like that you’ll have maybe 5-20 people within 100 miles and I’m not out in the middle of nowhere I’m within 20 miles of two major college towns
Fake Accounts and Fake Reviews
E-Harmony epitomizes fraud and dishonesty. Nearly all five-star reviews are fabrications; I've read them all, and most are just one-line comments lacking specific reasons for satisfaction. Additionally, 90% of their members are fake profiles, which explains why sending over 100 messages often results in no response. To inflate activity and create the illusion of a large community, they lure users into purchasing their outrageously expensive one-year annual membership for $495. They ask you to pay via their desktop website to avoid Apple fees. Once paid, they continuously charge the $495 annually unless you actively cancel-through both the app and the desktop site separately. They refuse refunds, prorated charges, or options for three-month plans. I intend to pursue legal action against their deceptive practices-faking member activity and misleading users into year-long commitments, then requiring separate cancellations on each platform. Victims should file complaints in small claims court or report their tactics online and to the Better Business Bureau to expose their dishonesty. They will likely respond with the same generic reply sent to hundreds of others. Even their so-called human representatives simply use automated responses, as fake as their fake profiles.
Scam
Eharmony used to be a reputable dating site. It has become a cash grab charging an exorbitant amount of money. What do you pay for? Any messages you send may or may not make it to a person you have interest in, and good luck trying to cancel your subscription.
Not good
I truly hope this app can actually help people, but my experience was horrible. After spending $450 and putting signifinact effort into my profile, I barely got any good profile suggestions for a whole year. This is after widening my preferences as much as I could. Half of the profiles didn't have pictures, and a majority barely had any detail. Maybe it's just not made for someone in my age bracket. Very disappointed.
