Constant prompts to get you to upgrade
I’m sure this app is great if you feel like spending money to upgrade it to the “plus” version but it is incredibly annoying if you are just looking for a simple version of a period tracker without a bunch of bells and whistles. Every time you log in you have to click through a series of prompts trying to get you to upgrade and there doesn’t seem to be a way to turn this off. Lots of click bait that will again lead you to “upgrade your membership!” I almost never have deleted an app or even bothered to leave a review but that is literally how awful the experience was.
Pay to use
You literally can’t do anything on this app without having a subscription, which is funny bc when you first download it, they try and make it seem like the point of the app is to help women who aren’t as educated on menstruation. It mentions how some young women don’t even know about periods until they start, making it seem like the app is made to help women like that but no. Literally all you can do for free is track your period, that’s it. Everything else is behind a paywall. No help what so ever for anybody who doesn’t have money to spend on recycled information
Wouldn’t recommend
App was much better when you could access some stuff. Unless you are a member it really doesn’t offer any guidance anymore. Many other free apps to choose from that do help guide during the pregnancy journey
Pay for them to sell your data
Flo used to be fee and private! Booooo!
Worse than SHEIN pop ups
Constantly tries to get you to purchase their subscription, takes over a minute of attempting to click through everything before I can even get on the app. I’m convinced all the high rates are people paid or working for the developers becuase there’s no way.
This sucks
Don’t use this app. It’s the worst period tracker ever. It’s not easy to alternate period days. You can’t put in that you’re spotting and it’s not a heavy Flo day. It’s has a MILLION ads every time you open it. This is probably the worst app you could use if you are trying to get pregnant. Honestly if you’re trying to do anything. And it’s constantly asking you AI stuff like “want to talk about what happens next?” NO.
Flo is amazing. Stop the dump scratch off pop up to upgrade.
I absolutely love Flo. I’ve been a user for over five years. The algorithm is incredibly accurate. I got pregnant when I said I was ovulating. Even today I am ovulating based on discharge symptoms and flow said I was ovulating. It’s freaking incredible. Please stop sending me the upgrade ad. I click it every single day that I opened the ad that I do not want to do that and it continues to pop up at the worst user experience ever.
Would Be Nice If I Wasn’t Flash-Banged by Unclosable Ads Every Time I Opened the App 👎
I’ve been using this app for 5+ years, but today I’m finally deleting it.
Every single day, the first time I open the app, I have to force close it and restart because MULTIPLE ads gets stuck on the screen with no way to close them.
It’s been happening for far too long, and it’s completely unacceptable.
An app shouldn’t require a restart just to get past ads. Five years as a loyal user, and this is what finally drove me away.

Too many ads
I cannot stand the amount of ads on this app to get me to buy the premium version. I am no longer going to use the app because of how forced the premium version of the app is.
Pop ups
Too many pop ups of the subscriptions it’s kinda annoying
money?!
im literally just trying to understand my body and health and not have to worry if i miscalculated but it costs a lot of money! like the whole reason i got this was so i dont have to spend time and energy figuring stuff out on my own but now i spend actual money?! im not paying for this subscription can you at least make a free version with less features or something because this is ridiculous.
Disappointed
I had this app when it was free and IF you wanted to u could get a subscription now it has no free version and I really want want to keep track of my period … deleting it again
had to delete, don’t bother
every time you open the app, there’s a pop up for their subscription that you cannot close out of unless you click through it like you’re gonna buy it. switched to another app
Absolute garbage (highly pornographic environment)
This app is trash. It’s full of written pornography by users in the community tab and Flo encourages that. If you write something edifying to help other women, Flo will take down your comment. Do yourself a favor and delete this piece of garbage from your device-there are plenty better ones out there. Don’t use Flo. Don’t let your daughters use it either.
Not very useful
What to expect is better for pregnancy… and it’s free
Advertisement all time
It’s impossible to do anything in the app because it’s constantly bombarded with adverts - ‘buy this, buy that’, ‘update this, update that’ - it’s impossible to do anything at all; it’s an absolute nightmare, nothing but adverts. But if I don’t want to update it, if I’m happy with the standard version - how much longer can this go on!?
Not the same
I’ve had this app since I was a teenager, now they are money hungry. You cant do anything without paying. Its hard to get out of pop ups and ads. Everywhere you navigate theres a popup to get you to pay for something. I barely use it anymore because of this. Sad what its become
Ads ads ads
So many pop up. Ads to purchase their premium. Looking for something new and deleting this so due to the annoying ads for premium
Free can’t just be free?
If I’m using the free version I shouldn’t be prompted everytime I open the app to subscribe.
all adds
I can’t open the app without being bombarded with 27 ads for 5 different things. I can’t click out of the ads either you have to “click to view my discounts” that are being advertised before I can even use the app.
Subscription Tracker
I’ve honestly never had an app advertise to me as frequently and as heavy handed as this period tracking app. Not at all worth it
The app is truly awful. Way overhyped.
It’s overly freaked out. Extremely invasive and truly just does not live up to the hype. I switched to Lively and I loveeee it! Highly recommend them instead.
Ads are out of control
Deleted app. I’ve had it for years. The ads are insufferable
They push the paid version too hard.
The app is almost unusable at this point. There are constant pop ups to sign up for the paid subscription and sometimes you have to completely close out the app to get rid of them.
Inaccurate
If you have irregular cycles & TTC, I do not recommend this app. They set up the ovulation days by a week after the follicular phase & make you miss the opportunity to conceive. I’ve personally used this app to track my period & ovulation days & the days are miscalculated. I would switch to a different app if I were you.
Not the same
I had this app since I was in high school. Around 2016-2017 or whatever u could get so much info for free. Now it’s excessive ads and important information behind paywalls. FLO! WE NOT BUYING THAT! Save ur money yall.
Pay Wall
After spending around 15 minutes of answering questions to curate my personal experience (I have never used a period tracker before) I hit a pay wall. It’s disappointing there is no free version - the questionnaire was very hopeful and I was excited to optimize my health while on my period.
Download any other app
this app spams you with ads, promotes their “premium” version(very unnecessary, just allows you to speak to their ai chatbot). Anytime you click anything, you’ll be advertised to. Also, not made by women. Just a bad app.
Annoying
Every time you open the app, it will prompt you to buy it and warn you that it’s their last chance in their big sale every single time and you have to click through several things to just get to the app
Sss
Keeps your personal information
Ruined
I wrote a critical review and it was removed. Let’s see if this stays! I’ve used this for several years and it was fine. Now they harass you with ads! I’m looking for a different app now that this one is so horrible.
Constant Ads
I can’t open the ad- I mean app- without being bombarded by pop ups to upgrade it’s insane.
Littered with promotions. Too many pop-ups.
I genuinely DREAD tracking my period on this app. You’re immediately met with a ton of pop-ups and some of them don’t even have an X until you “accept the offer”, which leads to more promotions that I have to find a way to close.
When I am trying to track my health, I shouldn’t be met with sale options as soon as I open it, because that is not ever going to be the first thing I want to do when I am trying to make sure that I am on time and not pregnant!
I can understand that to stay on the store, you need money, but it gets to a point where a different app would be a better option.
I do NOT recommend this app.

subscriptions
i have had this app for years and it used to be good. now when i am just trying to see when my period is going to come and it is so annoying getting that subscription offer in my face every time. i don’t want ur subscription. i pay enough to have my period. get urself greed out of here. getting another app byeeee. annoying
Ads are so annoying!
I’ve used this app for many years and the ads have gotten out of control. Every time I open the app, there’s an ad that pops up that takes several steps to decline if you don’t want the subscription.
Idk
Idk when is my period
Way too pushy
I am uninstalling because I don’t want premium and I’m tired of fighting with the app about it every time I use it
Don’t support businesses that just want to profit off of women.
Will be switching to different app. Trying to find an app for women made by actual women. Also paywalls are insane. I should not have to close the app and reopen just so I can log my period. On top of that I put in 4 YEARS of my period data into this app when I switched and it still doesn’t know how long can’t correctly calculate how long my average period is….. wasn’t surprised to find out this app was made by men. Ur never getting this woman’s money 😘
Not happy at all!
I thought this was going to be an amazing app my partner and I could use together to get pregnant. I never heard of a period/ovulation tracker that did that. I was so excited to try it and answered all the questions only to find out on the last step they wanted a subscription!!! That is so rude to do to people! Just say up front you want money so I don’t have to bother downloading it! What a waste of time! If you think this app is free don’t bother!
Starting to fall off
I used this app since I was 16 I’m 22 now it changed and got expensive. Idk why when it’s the most used apps for women , it use to be free to be updated and read on things about your body now u can’t read up on anything without them trying to make you pay ! lol. Only thing they are good for now is marking your period and symptoms but you have to pay to read on your symptoms now .
unusable because of pop up ads
this app would be fantastic if the pop up ads to upgrade to premium weren’t every 20 seconds. finally got sick of it and deleted.
Ads are making me annoyed!!!
I can’t even navigate through the app no more I have to exit the app various times just to log in info or see my info. The ads are so annoying way too many!
you’re better off tracking your cycle on a physical calendar!
it’s nice that you can log all your symptoms and get predictions for your ovulation and next cycle but the app constantly harasses you to get on their plan that’s not cost effective.. $5-15/month for a couple extra “tips” and the dumb AI assistant. Sometimes it won’t give you an X to get out of the add when you just want to see when your last cycle was so you can tell you OBGYN/PCP so you have to close out the app and refresh, NOT convenient! Even when I did the free trial they still charged me.
Shocked
I downloaded this to keep track of my baby’s growth and was interested in the option to share with partner.
I deleted it as soon as the opening questions started asking about “termination”.
I WILL NOT have or support and app that talks about abortion. Shame on the creators. This is supposed to support period tracking and pregnancy.

Rip Off, Cancelled but Charged
I canceled my subscription and I was still charged. It’s impossible to unsubscribe. A complete rip off. It’s trash. Don’t even sign up for the premium cause you’ll get screwed over when you try to cancel it. Just use the Apple Cycle Tracking. It’s way better and free and truly secure.
Sucks
Way too many ads. Have to click out of five different things just to see the calendar.
Flo
I had been using Flo for years! Over 4 and one day I went to log my period and all my data was gone. It use to be a great app, but with all the pop ups and losing my data I’m so upset.
Spam Ads
The pop ups in this app is truly unbearable, i have to spend five minutes trying to close everything. you shouldn’t try to force a girl to buy a membership just to track a damn period, and plus to find the x to close the advertisement it’s truly impossible. The x’s are almost always hidden, i cannot stand this. I will be moving to another app that WONT try to force a membership on me.
The ads to purchase
It’s great as a tracker but the app is always constantly trying to get you to purchase more features every time I’m trying to just simply log symptoms or check when my period is suppose to actually start. It’s annoying and sometimes makes me want to get rid of the app altogether.
Gotten worse over the years, prepare to get hounded about premium
Flo used to be such a great app. I guess it still is, it still does what it says on the tin.. but it also now throws subscription offers in your face constantly. I feel like it’s worse if you used to have premium and cancelled it. Ads for premium everywhere-a fullscreen pop-up you have to tap through when opening the app because there’s no X??, pop-up opening the calendar, a banner permanently at the top of the calendar, a mark on your calendar for when you have to renew that won’t go away, push notifications… Devs, if I wanted premium again, I’d have it. Forcing it down my throat makes me want nothing to do with it, no matter what discount you put on the price. At this point I genuinely believe the owners of Flo care more about women’s money than women’s health and access to information about their own bodies.
